Good while it lasted. Based on reviews here I bought this, using it less than 6 times. No longer works

Convenient, quick and easy to bring anywhere – Overall quite happy with the purchase, some things could be better but for the price it’s good. During assembly and first use, the tiny plastic bridge holder for the powered heating unit insert dropped, so I need to use a Phillip’s head screwdriver to lift it up every time (2nd photo attached) I need to insert the heating pin, if that didn’t break down I might have given a 5/5 review
But honestly, for the price of this thing I wasn’t expecting made in Germany or Japan quality, don’t get me wrong it is good enough though.
Assembly: Followed instructions and install was easy enough
First use: great, heated up real quick and cooks well, I was impressed
Cleaning: pretty easy actually, quick initial water clean while the plate was hot (water exits in drain pan) then once cooled down, we cleaned it in our kitchen sink
Dont’s: Unlike some reviews out there (not necessarily here), don’t clean the cooking plate with anything that could damage it, sponge or a soft plastic rice pot cleaner does the trick.
Overall: I really like that you don’t have to wait long for this unit to power up and the size of the it makes it easy to transport, and clean, unlike my charcoal BBQ that takes 30minutes to get to the right temp, this takes <5min

Love our Grillz! – What a bargain, it sears our steaks, cooks meat on sticks and does a great job on vege. If you are looking for a vitreous enamelled finished BBQ, go look for something 5-8x the cost. We are retired and this gave us what we needed. Ok, the lid and grill are metal and the rest is plastic making it light and very easy to clean. I bought a set of 5 inline wheels off VEVOR and siliconed them in. I can easily wheel this around. I have solar, so it costs me nothing to operate during daylight hours.

An inexpensive buy effective electric bbq – For the price ($129.95 marked down at BBQ Galore - online purchase only) this 2000W electric bbq works very well and is good value. It is ideal for people with small balconies and access to a powerpoint, those who don’t want to spend big dollars, and those who want a movable small bbq. It is lightweight, easy to move around and is sturdy enough on a stable plastic stand. There is no reason for it not to last a long time, the detachable temperature regulator with 3 meter chord is the same kind used on electric woks and frypans. You will need to make sure the regulator and input dock do not get wet if you leave it outside, you can use an upturned heavy-duty, drawstring garbage bag over it to protect it. You will get good browning on 6 average sized streaks at one time, or four steaks and some skewers or prawns. Using the hood traps in smoke - add some wood chips on a bit of aluminium foil when you turn it on to generate a real wood smoke flavour under that hood while cooking or smoking food. The aluminium non-stick cooking plate is very easy to remove and quickly clean in the sink, taking care not to immerse the electrical input dock. The bbq top can be used off the stand if you prefer, it’s very easy to detach, no screws involved, but the condiment tray on the stand is quite useful. I like this little bbq, it works well, is good value and it’s very cute.

To be honest, with just two of us in the house most of the time, I can’t be bothered firing up our big bbq, it involves too much cleaning.
