everywhere in our single story house.. I did contact Haier and sent them a video, the reply was short and sweet. yes thats the compressor and that's standard. I personally don't believe it but what can you do! Safe to say this will not be in our house long because its driving me crazy!! Only place this would work well in would be a garage.
