Very Good, Great Value, Great Wash Result – We are 2 1/2 years into our ownership of this machine. It has proven itself to be a very effective machine which washes gently and effectively. It is extremely water efficient using just 57 litres of water on the economy cycle. Of great benefit to us are the additional rinse cycles which can be toggled on as needed for a maximum of 5 cycles.

The machine spin speed is commendably quick meaning clothes come out almost dry.

To be fair the machine could rinse better, the standard 2 rinses on most cycles are insufficient to remove the soap that is absorbed into heavier and bulkier wash items. Toggling additional rinses remedies the issue. We are also finding we can use less than half the soap dosage recommended by Unilever when washing in this machine. We use 1/3 the recommended dose of Omomatic. Wash result remains very good and the rinsing issue is entirely addressed by reducing soap consumption.

No failures whatsoever to date.

I'd buy this machine again. Wash Result, Spin Speed, Generally of Good Quality. It could rinse a little better.

Oh no. Here we go again! – It was going so well until it stopped. The skilled operators saw sparks coming from under the machine and considered it was straining just before the end. Motor field coils shorted; destructively high brush currents with temporary lighting effect, end. The motor has been replaced and I will reinstall the Haier tomorrow. Not a moment too soon as the temporary replacement has also died. No warrantee on that one and uneconomic to repair. It is too good to throw out so I will wait until someone gives me one with any of the other uneconomic ends to make one from two with a second hand control board. Wash quality is excellent with scope right up to Nanna's washing in the copper temperatures F & P have inpsirational but expensive products in NZ. Haier cost less. I hope the new part owner of F&P will ensure that lower cost does not lead to the perception of lower quality for Haier Branded.
