Haier HWMSP60 / HWMSP70

Compact but tangles clothes and then complains and stops - I always have to untangle my clothes as it stretches them and gets them horrendously tangled. Maybe I should put them all in separate bags
Still assessing… – Had the machine for 2 months. Clothes tangle easily but I’ve now started washing them in zip up bags for delicates so will see how that goes. The normal cycle may be hard on clothes - several pairs of undies have shown obvious signs of wear since I got the machine. Lint filter needs frequent checking or else clothes get covered with lint. Otherwise am happy with it.
Worst washing machine ever – DO NOT BUY. Worst washing machine I’ve ever used. - clothes tangle easily, regardless of how small or big the load is; - can’t manually progress to next stage of cycle; - filters are a pain to clean, and you can never get all the lint out; - I feel like the machine does an “ok” job of washing but I think it would struggle with heavily soiled items. Absolute waste of money. Will never buy Haier again. Show details
Just like my ex-wife, utter piece of – Bought this machine for an elderly relative who rarely used it & didn't keep receipt. I know he treated it very well. The relative passed away so we bought it cheap from his estate - Big mistake. Tangles clothes much like my brother's fishing skills. It isn't that old, but, has circuit board failure. I know this will cost somewhere between $200 -… Read more
$300 (labour included). That repair cost to fix a $498 machine just seems crazy. Have replaced it with a new different brand machine.
Bad filters design – I have just one big problem with this machine causing the 3 stars. The filters are fabric! This is ridiculous. Inside the plastic covers is an overlocked piece of fine fabric which has threads hanging from it. The fluff gets caught up in all the stitching. It's very fiddly and trying to prise bits of fluff away from where the fabric joins the… Read more
plastic is frustrating. And there's two of them! Impossible to clean and how long do they expect this to last! Terrible and thoughtless design. I curse every time I wash!
Very disappointed – Terrible machine, no fabric softener despenser, washing gets tangled all the time Show details
Clothes tangle – The machine is neat and washes well and has good options for settings/cycles etc. However clothes tangle really bad and is a big jigsaw to try get them out and untangle to hang. 5 business shirts on a delicate cycle are almost impossible to seperate and can not be good for your clothes. Worst machine I have ever had. Very dissapointed – . Clothes come out so wrinkled and twisted.Does not hold more than 1 queen set of sheets. Doesn't seem like 7 kg. The lights on control we can hardly see them Show details
Do NOT buy – I purchased this machine in November, 2020, so have had this machine for 11 weeks when the water select button became in-operable. I rang Haier (which is put out by Fisher & Paykel - not good!). I did not know this at the time of purchase, or would have selected another brand. F&P do not have a good name, either. The person from Haier (in New… Read more
Zealand) told me to contact their local repairer. This I did and was told by them, that the parts from this company take ages to be delivered. One week later I contacted the repairer and was told they had received two parts and waiting on one other. I rang Haier (F&P) again and that person was checking on the part availability. As it was Friday lunch time, they would get back to me on Monday. This means at least another week before being able to wash. There is only my Husband & I in the house, so the machine has not been abused - or over-worked!! I asked for a new replacement, as this machine was faulty, but was told that that is not their policy. Obviously, it doesn't matter to them how long one has to hand wash and wring everything - including QB sheets and towels - they do not think it necessary to just replace it. If you are looking for a new washing machine, please save yourself the hassles and purchase any brand other than Haier or Fisher & Paykel.
Horrible machine, gone through 3 differnet one in 2 years – I bought this machine from Harvey Norman, and within a month the first one broke, the water wouldn't go through. I got a replacement as it was under warranty, 8 months later it broke again, it just wouldn't start, something broke in the circuit bord. 6 months later on the 3rd one, something is wrong with the spin cycle, put anything like a towel in the wash and it struggles. Worst washing machine I've ever had. Show details
Such a great washing machinr – My old washing machine died so l got this Haeir. It's got 2 lint filters and is so easy to use. Added bonus it has sudsr eturn option so you can recycle the water immediately for the next load. Also it has 3 different spin cycles which means my washing can dry faster. It's sleek silver look has retained its look and not corroded by the salt air here either. Is a quiet washing machine too in comparison to the others lve had
I love this Washing Machine – This washer is perfect, it washes well and I absolutely love how the lid has a slamless feature. You can put the lid down without it slamming down, it has brakes, so to speak, every washer should have this. The price was very affordable for a very stylish and great little machine! Show details
Perfect washing machine, the best I have ever owned in my life! So quiet and fast! Highly recommended! – Fast, efficient. Water saving. Great little machine for a single person or small family. Has all sorts of cycles to choose from, highly recommended, Haier are a great product brand.

“Good value” but at what cost? – Sure, this is an inexpensive piece of hardware. It’s aesthetically pleasing as washing machines go. It has a relatively straightforward interface and is easy to set up. However, good luck washing more than a couple of shirts at one time. And jeans? Forget about it. It’s unclear whether it’s the absence of an agitator in the centre of the… Read more
tub, but this machine cannot balance a load to save its life. Want to sit down and watch a film whilst getting a load clean? Prepare to be interrupted by twelve piercing beeps every few minutes as the machine declares its inability to spin efficiently and summons you to balance the load again.
It doesn’t matter how many garments are in the machine; maybe 1 in 20 washes gets done without needing human intervention. You do tend to have slightly better luck (one rebalance instead of five) with a lighter load. Well and good, but any benefit is lost by then having to do another wash with the other clothes that might have been too much for poor old HWMSP70 to handle, wasting water and detergent.
Don’t buy this machine. Just don’t. It’s not worth the rage and the environmental damage.
Not bad – Not a bad machine. It works well and meets general needs of washing. The disadvantages are : its loading is too small, and it can not wash many clothes once. The normal mode takes a long time, and it must complete full washing cycles. It can not start from a specific step. Show details
Not too bad – Good washing machine, rather loud and disruptive though. I find there is always a bit of a smell to the washing machine afterwards. It's a bit small for a big family also, you will end up doing a few loads. Overall it cleans well and is also worth the price Show details
horrible washing machine.. steer clear – absolutely the worst machine i have ever had. It doesnt even wash properly. My clothes often come out with dirt marks and what looks like left over fluff or dirty water skin stuff on them, .. so i end up washing them again. It takes ages just to do one simple load, is noisy, and sometimes doesnt even spin. I am about to wash my doona ( a very… Read more
light weight summer one that SHOULD fit easily in there and be an easy job) for the third time today , and it takes 67 minutes EACH wash, so now it wont be dry in time for use tonight. It was cleaner before i started the washing process and wish i never put it in there!.. will definitely be calling service people this week as I suffer from chronic illness and dont need to be doing my washing 10 times
OK – Not a bad replacement for my end-of-life front loader. Pretty straight forward to use and cleans well. Found the 'normal' cycle is a bit harsh ( wear & tear on some clothing ) The lint catcher however is a real pain in the butt - pretty poorly sewn 'catching sachet' ....and if you don't clean out after EVERY wash...leaves lint all over items. (… Read more
that probably explains how harsh the cycle is on the wear of clothes - it's actually stripping fibres off items ).... have NEVER experienced, in my 40 years of using a washing machine...SO MUCH lint. Lesson learnt.....do the research and go and purchase item by yourself....don't leave it up to the 'OH'....or get him to do the washing......haaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Terrible, Stay away – This Machine is crap. Its super loud and gets unbalanced really really easy. Then it starts the cycle from the start once rebalanced. Water pipe came out from underneath and flooded my house Show details
Makes life so much easier – This Washing Machine i so much better than the LG Front Loader that I replaced it with. Not so hard on my clothes and washes brilliantly. It is quiet and has plenty of Washing Cycle Options. I find this brand excellent and will never pay the huge prices for Name Brands again. Show details
Absolutely crap machine – Takes forever to do a load, doesn't spin properly clothes come out wet & have to re spin again gets out of balance with just towels have to restart wash cycle all over again, previously had a 6.5kg NEC & the 7kg is actually smaller???, wished I had never brought this machine & done more research ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!!!!!! GOOD SMALL FAMILY WASHING MACHINE – Great washing machine, makes a thorough job of washing the clothes, even when I forgot the powder. An improvement on my last machine which tangled the clothes. It has no agitator. I absolutely love the quick 10 minute cycle for rinsing the nappies. I recommend this machine, and am very happy with it . A small draw back is if you don't open the lid properly it will collapse down, just when your head is down getting the washing out. Show details

A waste of money – I bought this machine 2 months ago and it did wash things ok but they were all twisted after spin dry. The sad part is we use tank water for washing and because of it supa techo programming it has burnt out my house pump twice in 2 months. If you have tank water or live off a bore this machine WILL destroy your pump. I sent mine back and got my money back because the salesman failed to disclose this info at time of purchase. ABSOLUTE DISASTER – I purchased this washing machine 5 months ago, in that time I have had 5 service calls, the last being last Wednesday when the water was pouring out of the bottom of the machine I was told the technician would be here Friday, received a call Thurs saying he couldn't come until Monday between 8-10am, when he hadn't arrived after 10am I called spent… Read more
3/4 hour on phone and was told he would be there between 3-5pm, he fixed what he thought was the problem 20mins later the water again was pouring out I called for him to come back and they said he had gone home after some talking was told he could come Tuesday he came and again tried to fix the problem this time using silicon and saying it had to set for 24hrs. he could come back and check Wednesday between 3-5, when he hadn't arrived at 4.30pm I called him he had just left a meeting 1 1/2 hrs away from where I live but told me to turn machine on it should be right. I did so the same thing happened. I then called customer care again and said I wanted a replacement,,they had to check. I must say the technician did come at around 6.15pm again tried another remedy stayed while the machine started and left, I went to check 20mins later the water was again pouring out. I phoned customer care again and asked for a replacement again they said they would call me Thurs. Eventually I have a credit authorization and am going to get a new machine. If there was a rating less than 1 I would give it, I would not recommend the machine or Fisher & Paykel to my worst enemy.
Wish I never bought it – I bought this machine for dog washing only as I look after a couple of dogs & have my own and I like to keep their coats and bedding clean. This machine washes and rinses fairly well. It is loud at times. The only features I like about the machine is that the lid does not bang down when you let it go . It gently closes. and the lint filters… Read more
are excellent. I would be satisfied with the machine if when I do a warm wash it did not put the hot water in for so long and then the cold. Sometimes I have woollen blankets or woollen dog coats and I have to put the water in the machine before I put the articles in the water or they would be wrecked. Had I known this I would have looked for something better. It is only about 5.5kg. The instruction book is useless. It is a bit better than a new Fisher & Paykel 10kg that I purchased. Would not recommend it to my worst enemy.
