Best product I bought for my third baby and third c section!
Fantastic bassinet cannot fault it you can literally put your hands on your baby whilst your sleeping it swivels out of the way easily and is super sturdy and adjustable for any bed. Excellent product wish I had one for all 3 of my children.
Purchased in August 2017.
Good but pricey
We have a very small bedroom and 4 dogs - so i needed a bassinet that could get in close to me, but was also sturdy so I didn't have to worry about my dogs knocking it over. This bassinet was perfect for my requirements. I could position it so i could move the bassinet over the mattress and close to me, and then move it out the way to get in and out of bed. My daughter was a great sleeper and slept throughout the night from 6 weeks - but I would still wake to check on her so I loved that i could just slide the bassinet close to me to make su...re she was ok without waking her up. The mesh sides are brilliant as it allows me to be able to see her clearly, and she cant get her hands or legs stuck in it. The negatives - the light, music, and vibration were pretty much useless and i wish they offered the 'basic' version in Australia like they do in the US. That version is far more economical, and the extra $$$ for the light, music and vibration is not worth it. The sound is not very loud, the light is in the wrong spot, and the vibration can hardly be felt. I ended up using 'ewan the dream sheep' to soothe my daughter back to sleep and as a night light. The mattress is also very very thin, and i know this is supposed to be good to reduce SIDS but it seemed too thin and cold. So i covered my mattress in an extra halo sheet, and then wrapped the mattress in a tight fleece blanket to give it some extra cushioning and warmth. This bassinet also does not move - once its in position you cant just move it to another room easily. That was a pro for me with my dogs, but a con in that i had to have another sleep solution for the lounge room. I used this bassinet until my daughter was 12 weeks old. I transitioned her to her cot when she became too aware of her surroundings and i wanted her to get used to her own room. She can still fit in the bassinet at 4.5mths old but she does kick the sides with her arms and legs and now its more of a play space rather than sleep space! Overall i really like the halo bassinet, but i just wished they offered the basic version in Australia.
This bassinet has been amazing. I had a traditional one for my first child and the difference is incredible. The Halo Bassinest is so smooth in its movement and do convenient. I can have it right next to me and not hurt my wrist shoulder and back trying to get Baby in and out. It’s smooth swivel action also allows me to get in and out of bed easily. I very highly recommend this product.

Pretty good bassinet with few design flaws
The Halo Bassinet has a great design concept including breathable mesh sides, 360 turning, adjustable height, melodies, nightlight and vibration settings but unfortunately most of these features have issues. The adjustable height does not go low enough to align with modern bed height, the volume of the melodies is very low and cannot be adjusted, the nightlight is useless, the vibration is very very light, the base is extremely heavy and the mattress is very thin and made from very cheap material. I love the fact its mesh and can spin around however, its pricey and half of the things you pay for are below average.
Very happy with this purchase
I don't usually write reviews, but I must let people know how happy I was with this purchase. The light was perfect for night time feeds. The swivel was effortless and didn't wake baby if he was sleeping. It could be adjusted in height easily and the front pushed down so you don't need to reach in as much. it is also quite a large bassinet and was fine for my baby at 9 months old which is a long time for a bassinet.
Great way to safely co-sleep!
So glad that we opted for this bassinet as it has been amazingly convenient and safe! I ended up having a emergency cesarian and the swivel feature was a godsend... Instead of painfully moving in and out of bed each time bubs needed a feed I could simply pull the bassinet in towards me and lean down on the side (it has a spring edge that lowers for you to pick baby up) and feed him without leaving the bed. The fabric and over all design is really modern and chic... It blended so nicely into our bedroom. The mesh sides are also a great safety fe...ature as you can easily see bub and don't have to worry about air flow (especially when they start to roll into strange positions). Our boy is quite big and he still fits in it and he is nearing 6 months old. The only downside is that it is very heavy to move and may prove a little bulky in the way of storage as the legs are quite large. I would definitely recommend this bassinet!
Questions & Answers
I’m concerned about that low side bending down, is it safe? Can’t baby roll over and out?
Does the bassinet separate from the base to move between rooms?
Yes but it doesn't lie flat as the plastic swivel attachment is on the bottom on the bassinet. Also the base is quiet heavy and alkward to carry.. my husband carried it in and out of the bedroom for the first few weeks with bub but it was a little annoying. I would suggest a day bassinet in another room if you are wanting the option of 2 sleep spaces for bub.
