Problem with soap, use this instead! – Most soaps clean skin but also dry it out. If you have sensitive skin or dry skin, soap becomes the enemy and does more harm than good. So you need to find an alternative. Hamilton Skin Therapy - Gentle Wash is a very good alternative. First of all, its says on the bottle that its dermatologist recommended. This use to mean a lot, but recently every skin product uses this phrase without true cause, so we need to look deeper into the product. On the back of the bottle, it says free from soap and sulphates and fragrance. Now this is important. While soap/sulphates are great for cleaning skin (and clothes in the laundry), it strips the skin of moisture, which then causes dryness. Fragrance can also affect skin by causing unnecessary allergic reactions and irritation. So some people end up with irritated, dry and red skin by using soaps with these ingredients. Better to avoid these ingredients altogether. This product does that - if you look at the ingredients on the bottle. Now some products do try to do the right thing but are they effective in cleaning skin ? The answer is not all of them. But Hamilton Skin Therapy - Gentle Wash - does what it says. It lathers nicely, and gently washes the skin. You end up feeling clean and with no irritation. The only problem is that this brand of products is not available in all stores. You have to look a little harder to find it. But it is available at Chemist Warehouse - so try it out, if you have problem skin. Lastly, this product is produced by an Australian-owned company. So buying this product helps Australians in general.
