Hankook Ventus Prime

Good service - arrived on time and date specified. Professional service. One thing which would be an added bonus is to "black" the tyres once fitted so they look all pristine.

Both Prime 2 and Prime 3 make me fear for my life – Dry performance is okay-ish, but wet weather? Forget it, it feels like I'm on ice. These cost way too much for how they perform, I want my money back. It might also just be my bad luck, but I've already had to replace one tyre due to a puncture. Never buy rubbish – Never ever buy these tyres for you vehicle, worst safety and hard earned cash investment ever made, Less than 150000 klms and ready for the Tyre mulcher. I'm a conservative driver, check my tyre pressures every fortnight as i use my car for work purposes. Show details

These tyres are so noisey that I thought I was in a jet! – I have had these for around 1000 km and the road noise on these tyres is driving me batty! Any speed over 80kph and the loud drone kicks in. Considering the high amount of highway driving that I do these are the worst!! Show details

Hankook makes good tyres – I always buy Korean tyres like Hankook for my Hyundai I30. It lasts long and can run heaps of mileage, less road noise and good value for the money. My next tyres will be Hankook again. Thanks Show details

Fabulous tyre for the price – Purchased just over 12 months and 22500KLM ago. Great handling tyre in diverse road surfaces and weather conditions. Not the quietest tyre on coarse road surfaces but makes up for under braking and handling in heavy rain. same price and had the same wear factor but the ones I meant to purchase were rated as a more eco and quiet tyre. That being said, I am satisfied with my purchase but lament my mistake for the road noise level as indicated above.

Pretty good tyre but not very durable – Our i30 GD came with four Ventus Prime2 when we bought it brand new. While noise, comfort, handling and braking (in the dry and wet) is good, two of them only lasted for just under 34,000 km - and I think the other two aren't far behind. I've always kept the pressure at over 34 and had them rotated once, which makes little difference with directional tyres. Have replaced them with GT Radial EF1, which I will review soon.  Show details

Perfect balance of performance and price – I recently replaced four Nexen tyres on my 2013 Kia Sorento SLi with four Hankook Ventus Prime 2 tyres. These are an exceptional tyre for the money. They grip really well in the wet and the dry and are significantly quieter than the Nexens. I'm hoping I get similar wear from these as the Nexens - which was 50,000 kms.  Show details

Excellent – Just replaced my Goodyear NTC ECO tyres on the convertible with this tyre and the difference is outstanding. Very smooth ride and exceptionally quiet. Sharp handling in the wet and dry. Excellent value at $155 fitted by local tyre shop. I would say they are as good as or better than the Goodyear Excellence I have on the wagon and cheaper by $80 per tyre! Very smooth and quiet ride. Great handling in wet or dry.

Excellent – This is a very high grip Tyre, the TDI golf no-longer spins its front wheels in the dry unlike original tyres.
