Not recommended – Not worth the price. Had to change two tyres in a year. Not recommended and will not buy hankook tyres again Show details
Good at first, became very loud – These were decent at first but became very noisy to the point I plan to replace them early. Seem to wear okay and have decent braking. I have noticed small bulges in the sidewalls. Show details
Great tyres. EDIT!!! Will NOT buy the same ones again – (EDIT Approx. Oct 2023) went to buy the next set & the tyre shop put the price up to $265, Will try the Falken FK510 $165ea. (EDIT April 2024 Falkens are great, go grip etc. will buy again if price stays the same) These are great tyres & were not expensive at all. The grip in wet & dry conditions is fine. They are not noisy. Quite long life.… Read more
EDIT!!!! Will NOT buy the same ones again Not now!! Just got a price on their replacements the Ventus RS4 $265!! each, (Although that could be the dealer marking them up).
Great tyres – Replaced older tyres with these Hankook tyres. These handle well in all weather conditions and overall ride seems to be quieter. Grip level is still good after years of use. Would use them again.
Impressive At First, Regret At Leisure – Partly my ex-mechanic's fault: I own a continental car and was told this tyre was good*. I changed all 4 tyres. At first, I was impressed for the quietness of the tyre. After using it for about 8 months, the tyre started to make an oscillating noise that can be irritating between speeds 20-50km/h. I thought it was the car but I had also the… Read more
same issue on another continental car that I own, fitted with the same tyre. I sent both cars to a specialists to check, and the results were the same - it's the tyre noise.
To eliminate the issue, I had the tyres changed on one of my cars and the noise went away immediately, concluding that it was indeed the tyres, and not the car. Curious as I am, I did some research on the tyre and found out that this tyre is more suited for non-continental cars, which are usually lighter in nature. Because of the weight of the car, the tyre wear is uneven, resulting in the oscillating noise that I mentioned earlier. Hence, (good*), is defined suited more for non-continental cars.
My tyre size is 245/40ZR18.
Bang for bucks!! – i threw away the bridgestone er33 tires supposley for premium lexus class or whatever...had to choose between michelin primacy 4 or s1 noble 2....i start seeing s1 noble 2 as standard tires on bmw and benz mid size for europe/asia so i decided to take the chance... its very quiet, the grip is very good.....im not sure about how long it will last, its not a problem for me when its 30% cheaper than michelin primacy 4 :) Show details
Comfortable and less noise - 225/45R18 – Tyres ride comfortably, handles better and lesser noise compared to my previous Bridgestone Turanza ER300. Stock wheels on car was 215/55R17 and after upgrading to 18" it made car ride harsher. But this tyres made it ride comfortably again. Not sure of longevity as yet as i have just installed them. But got 500 treadwear hopefully that… Read more
translates to a long lasting tyre.
Was bought buy 3 get 4 tyres @$200 each, which is a Great deal!
I had good experiences with Korean tyres namely Nexen, Kumho and Hankook.
Will upgrade review on longevity later.
Great replacement – After getting close to 60,000km out of my factory fitted tyres on my Hyundai I45 I began looking around and reading reviews and finally settled on the Hankook Ventus as a replacement. A few reviewers complained over the handling of the I45 saying it may well have been the factory fitted tyres I had no such problems , so i was interested how these… Read more
tyres performed.
They were not much different from my original Hankooks so I am quite pleased with them.
My next interest will be how well these wear but at present even though it's only been a short while they still look like new on the tread.I noted someone said they were super soft , can't say I agree as the tread wear rating does not suggest that with a manufacturer rating of 500 which is not soft, maybe the tread pattern and the sidewalls make it feel and grip like a soft tyre but in actually fact they have a harder tread wear guide than my originals .
Of all tyres on the market there is only 8% , yes 8% of tyres with a higher tread wear rating than 500 .
In the USA they give a pro rata 50,000 mile warranty but in all honesty I have never had a tyre in all my years on the road that gets more than 60,000 Km , so 50,000 miles would just be a dream.
Great tyres for the $$$ – The S1 Noble 2 are not the highest performing tyre on the market, they don't stick like glue compared to other super soft tyres, what they do is provide you with an excellent balance of handling, wet weather performance, and wear factor, combined with a quiet ride. You want stickier, buy something at $50-100 more per boot and replace them in 30K. My money is on the Hankook every time! Show details
Dont buy this tyre it is dangerous – Bought these tyres for a BMW 328i F30 after the factory's had worn out and they were good for 5000kms now they are trying to put me in an early grave it would seem. I keep perfect pressures at 10000km things started to go wrong, they tramline on the roads, have terrible road noise, and oh the fact they dont hold grip on a perfectly sunny day on a… Read more
gravel road is a real issue for me. The true shop told me nothing is wrong with them um no. Do not buy these tyres under any circumstances you will be sorry.
Premium suits best – For someone that only ever bought budget tyres for the sole reason that they were affordable, I felt it was time to make the switch to Premium. I bought 4 and immediately noticed the difference, they just hugged the road and gave me better control on the road. So far I have been driving on them for 12 months and they still look brand new,… Read more
and feel exactly the same as when I had them fitted.
I had them fitted to my 2006 HOLDEN OMEGA, very durable and handles extremely well in wet conditions.
Am amazed by how much the noise reduction was by using hankook tyres.
Highly recommend these tyres to anyone wishing to feel a little safer on the roads.
Ultra High Performance Tyres – Hankook are developing better and better tyres every time. I chose these tyres for ultimate comfort, zero noise and performance in wet and dry. For me, this tyre ticks all the boxes. It also is a good looking tyre! I have factory Bilstein suspension and got the factory size tyre. Even with the stiffer suspension it is comfortable on Sydney's… Read more
poor roads. No more tyre noise and you only hear the engine.
It is a soft tyre so it may wear quicker. I'll be monitoring this to see how long it lasts. I hope it goes the distance though.
So far, loving this tyre. I'm glad I've made the right choice. Paid $208 pre tyre which includes the usual fitting and balance.
