Long wearing not good in wet – Brought in Jan 20, 4 for 3 deal. Have got over 55K and still plenty of tread left. However, this may be the vehicle (CH Lancer) very dicey in the wet, the smallest amount of water will cause wheel spin and slip out Show details
Hankook Ventus 2 concept 2 troubles – Purchased Hankook ventus 2 concept 2 for my Toyota 86 about a year ago and have had a lot of trouble with them in the wet. In the dry they are OK not great but in the wet they will let go at any time and can be really quite dangerous. Maybe these are meant for lesser vehicles but beware they can be unpredictable in my opinion. Show details
Terrible and dangerous in the wet. Never buy them for a front wheel drive – Terrible and dangerous in the wet. Never buy them for a front wheel drive. I have a 2.4 litre Mitsubishi and it's now a death trap due to these awful tyres
Nails & Glass – I fitted Hankook Tyres on my wives Mitsubishi Outlander. I have no issues with grip or noise, but we have had so many punctures from nails and glass pieces picked up while driving. One was so bad we had to replace that Tyre. Have we just had some bad luck ? or have somebody else had the same experience. After 7000 KM 4 Nails and 2 Pieces of glass. Regards Niels. Show details
Excellent on my Liberty GR – Great tyres for my Subaru Liberty GT. It’s a quiet tire for me but the car is pretty much quiet in general and get no road noise. Can be slippery in the wet but if you drive to the conditions they handle well. For a mid range tire for under $200 it’s exceptional value for what’s out there on the market. Have had them on the back of my vehicle now for 20,000km and still going well with minimal wear. Show details
Slippery when wet – Bought a 2014 Suzuki Swift GLX 5/2020 with these fairly new tyres (2/18 build) and the wet weather grip on take off is poor. 70kw Auto and just a tap on the throttle brings instant wheel spin. Good grip in the dry though. Tyre noise is not to bad. Show details
Great wet and dry grip but DAMN they don’t last – These tyres look good and perform well in wet and dry, as good as RE050a and Falken FK453 but unlike the Bridgestone’s and Fallkens which have lasted 25-30,000 kms on several sets, the Hankook was only able to give me 8900 kms! I thought this was terrible and they were trying to tell me it was my car or that I was causing it. No track work or… Read more
burnouts, just a heavy right foot but this hasnt changed with any of the tyres I’ve used. I can’t recommend them simply because of the terrible mileage.
Impress better than my old goodyear triplemax – Got new tyres today and was a bit concern because of some of the reviews i read here but the price was so good , got them at jax smithfield $377 for four fited and balance.Fist impretions they are quiet smooth and i have never had that much grip ,cero wheel sping on a modified rear wheel drive v6 holden with 3.9 diff gears its amazing, ill report after 5000km for wearing , tyre noise, and wet driving . Tyre size 235 45r17 Show details
Horrendous wet weather performance – Have had tyres on for three months when first rains of the year, excessive wheel spin on take-off and sliding with the traction control working overtime. Road noise not the best however was not too much issue. Show details
Very Noisy – Not a bad Tyre bad the more wear it gets the more road noise you get, Got around 30,000 kms out of them on the back of my Commodore manly highway use-age, Would recommend if you didn't mine the road noise, Not bad in the wet and good in the dry. Show details
Excellent in the wet, great value but wow, very very noisy – Purchased these based on the wet weather reviews and they have not disappointed. Given, I'm in Tasmania and we have had atrocious rain (and wind) recently I took the opportunity to test these out. Wow, great grip in the atrocious wet roads recently here in Tasmania and LOTS of standing water on the road but these tyres really didn't feel unsafe,… Read more
they felt firm on the road with no slip noticeable at all.
On the downside.... these are crazy noisy, no, they are really noisy. The road noise is quite bad on highway style roads with the more grippy style road top but on the smoother roads tops the noise is ok (just ok)
My priority for these was wet weather and dry weather and as mentioned above, they did not disappoint it's just the road noise is bad.
I've had these on for just over 2000km and I cannot see them changing their grip or road noise now, plus I purposely held off doing a review of these until I had covered some good kilometres.
I'm unsure on how long wearing they are but given my priority was
1- wet weather grip (excellent)
2- dry weather grip (excellent)
3-value for money (high)
4 - long wearing (unknown)
5- noise (bad)
So far, 3 out 5 is great because they're my top three priorities so happy with that.
Excellent value for money – Excellent tyres for the kind of driving that I do. They handle very well in wet or dry conditions on most road surfaces. I travel on motorways and congested city roads and feel safe and confident these tyres will hold the road. I have had them for over 3 months now and purchased them from Bob Jane in Lakehaven and found their customer service to be excellent as well. Show details
A very good and safe tyres – The tyres on my second car needed changing. A mechanic friend told me he had witnessed tests of the Hankook Ventus V2 Concept 2 on a trade day display and he was impressed by them. He said I should consider buying them as they were very good especially for their price. I carried out some research by reading tests of these tyres in motoring… Read more
magazines, asking for prices and opinions of tyre sales outlets.
After carrying out my research I decided to buy 4 X 235-45-17's for my modified VX - Commodore.
The car is not low on power and it is not slow so I needed something that would grip.
I have never looked back and I am very happy with my friends advice and the purchase of these tyres.

Safe For Your Life and Your Pocket! – They are durable with reasonable price and above all good handling tyres that stick to the road in any conditions including dry, loose gravel, wet and snow. They could not fault in any way. That is why when we replace tyres we stay with Hankook Ventus V2. We travel a lot and tow a large trailer frequently over mountainous terrain in normally wet cold condition. Additional information : Made in Indonesia. Show details
Value tyres – I think it's hard for a layman to tell one set of tyres from another in terms of performance, but for comfort, road noise and grip in the wet, these tyres are great, much better than the Kumho ones I had before. The garage had them on an offer as well as a cash back and warranty from the manufacturer, so they were significantly cheaper than the next option. Recommended. Show details
Made a difference – Bought pair of ventus v2 concept 2 H457 made in Indonesia, 195-55 R15, coming from a good hankook optimo same size, I can not believe what a difference in the car feeling this change did. First I just put 2 new tyres in front, the car changed to be smoother and quiet (tyre road noise). I noticed the change on the steering also, car feels more… Read more
"grip" but without feeling heavy to steer. I have not tested a heavy breaking on wet. Will update durability as time pass.
Crap, tyre failed – This tyre was fitted to a Mercedes and failed due to side wall damage within 12 months of purchase, the company failed to acknowledge any fault and denied me compensation. The company that fitted the tyres suggested that HANKOOK should replace the tyre in question. I would not recommend these tyres! Show details
Very good performance tires – first, my car is modified with stage 1 tuning that gained about 30hp(which is not a lot of hp gain)...my stock Dunlop 2030 tires slipped everywhere causing terrible noises and wobbly ride..i replaced them with Hankook V2 Concept 2 195/50/15..these tires just grips to the floor during full throttle..its not Hankook RS3 tires but still worth the price for its performance :) Show details
Just great tyres – Replaced hard, slippery, Dunlop LM703 on the shopping car, an XC Barina, with these excellent tyres (195/50/15). Quiet, smooth supple ride, precise steering, very stable at freeway speeds and great grip in wet and dry. Wet braking is outstanding. A pleasure to drive on, they feel like Michelins at a bargain basement price. Bought them on a… Read more
"four for the price of three" deal thinking they couldn't be any worse than the Dunlops which were just plain dangerous in the wet. They've turned out to be a very nice surprise and have removed any prejudices I might have had about Korean-branded tyres. Look good on the rim too.
Only done about 5000ks so can't comment on wear, but they have a 500 treadwear rating so should last a while. Great turn-in and grip, very smooth and quiet. Nothing to criticise, especially at the price.
