Harman Kardon Citation One MKIII

Excellent speaker! I bought two! Very convenient w/ Google Assistant, Spotify integrated. Not "huge" treble or bass, plus no built-in EQ, compared to my two Alexa Studio speakers ('doof-doof'). The Alexa Studio speakers are much richer in treble, mids and lows (bass) but obviously 5 years newer! Side by side playing music it is very very obvious. BUT when I listening to just the Citation One speakers, the audio is excellent and above average, compared to Google Nest speakers. 9/10 =D
Purchased in for $300.
Harmon Kardon Citation One Mk III Paperweight – This Speaker requires the Google Device Utility App for setup, however that App is no longer available from the Play Store for more recent Android devices. So check before purchasing that you have a compatible Device to set up the Speaker, otherwise it may be useful if you need to hold a door open somewhere. Oh, and Harmon Kardon support don't have any answers either...
Worked perfectly out of the box – Straight out of the box, setup was easy. Updated itself quickly and have had this for a month now. Despite the negative reviews for the Mkiii I have seen with connectivity etc, I have had no issues at all with my smart speaker. Voice operation is easy, sound quality is great. with sound quality, I feel it does seem to depend on the source you are playing, free to air radio can tend to have a little less bass than spotify. Bluetooth quality is impressive and it could also be that I need to turn the radio up! It is loud and powerful and I have it located in a large living room. Construction is impressive, solid and in my opinion is good value for the cost. Touch buttons on the top take a little getting used to but work well.
