Harris Signature Blend

My day catalyst – I grew up on Coffee plantations since childhood and am obsessed with Coffee, to my surprise is my all time favourite, Harris Signature blend is deliciuos to my taste, I love the deep strong but rounded flavour, a subtle hint chocolate. I love Harris Signature Blend
Once was Coffee ? Now its gone off the boil ? – for years I drank Harris Colombian Reserve. A year or so ago Harris decided to finish that line, and released their Signature blend, Not near as good but it sufficed. Over the last year quality is diminishing at a steady rate, then recently it dropped right off the charts. The current signature line lacks aroma, the taste on the pellet is long but quite unpleasant, in a word "disgusting" Show details
Great crema, rich taste – Bought $35 worth of beans from the local "gourmet" roaster. Too bitter. Went back to my old reliable Signature Blend which is so much better. No more watery looking stream of "espresso", but a thick, honey coloured pour of rich, real coffee. Show details
Good but not to my taste – I've tried the 'Harris Signature Blend' but its not to my liking, I prefer their 'Columbian' blend which is a rich, dark and strong tasting bean and well roasted. The 'Signature Blend' is not exactly what I prefer as I like my coffee very strong and with a rich coffee taste. One of the best coffee beans that I've tasted is the Indonesian Karangi… Read more
coffee bean that comes and is grown in the volcanic soil at the foot of Mount Karangi. Harris 'Columbia' blend is a very close match to that (not quite the same and not as good) and it always retails for $18.00 per Kilo. That is why I have given the 'Harris Signature Blend' a 3 star as its not exactly to my taste.
Great coffee, rich in taste and chocolate like look – Beautiful look is what you would comment on the shot as it comes out from espresso machine to fill your cup. The shot has a dark colour like chocolate, and is as thick as honey! Brilliant! But look is just half of the story. The taste is rich, full of floral! And no acidity trait! Another brilliant thing! One major issue though : the… Read more
coffee beans quickly lose its taste after 2 weeks of opening, which is normal. But why did they pack the beans in 1kg and let the beans lose their taste? It is like buying 1kg of coffee to use only 1/4, and throw the rest away!
Pack them in 200-250 gr bags please!
Excellent supermarket coffee beans – For years I have been buying my coffee beans from a variety of small independent roasters. However, the prices at these establishments have risen to $50 - $55 for their top blends. I was curious to try some of the premium beans from the major brands in my local supermarket, and bought some Harris Signature Blend beans. I was stunned to find it… Read more
matched or bettered the beans I had been paying twice the price for. Great crema when used in my espresso machine, and a rich, full flavour, with no bitterness or over-roasted flavours (unlike one of the market leaders).
In summary I found Harris Signature Blend coffee beans to be as good as most independent roasters at half the price. Sometimes it seems to be out of stock in Coles and Woolworths, but it is well worth trying.
