Equipment Old – Equipment out dated, floors uneven, Equipment which need attention overall 2/10. For the price we pay it's not worth it. CEO don't care about the gym and members. Not Good July 5th 2019 Update: Fitness centre out of touch From equipment, dressing room, floor space management. The whole gym needs a massive overall. Music out dated. I feel like im in a retirement place. I have nothing wrong with oldely seniors training but its frustrating when they sleep on the machine and take forever. They need their own gym separate from gym floor. Needs more updated equipment overall needs a new gym. Management in health mate needs to be replaced because they are all abt their bonus and not the people. Membership is why to high, they can't even supply descent equipment to use.

Horrible reception with extreme rude staff and managers – The staff at the reception are extremely arrogant and rude. When I tried to explain as clarification of my membership card, one of the staff had no patience to listen. Instead she shouted at me. No minimum customer service standard at all. When the truth was found relating to my query, she blamed the system and other staff member. When I reported to the manager, all I received was a letter full of worse Manner and bigger arrogance. Not wanting to go back to the gym any more or recommend to anyone else. I would like to share my letter received from the manager Christina on Facebook to warn other people.

Fitness centre of the year lol!,onlywhen it comes to overbearing staff & perdantic management style – The centre is in need of a reality check. For a centre who prides itself on industry awards,They are loosing touch with its members over small perdantic issues. It really feels like being a kid at school and have overbearing staff and management hassle you over trivial issues. There is a lack of common sense and flexible aproach by management on sensetive personal issues. They seem to care more to act

on member gossip than OH&S issues like little kids running around the gym area while their mothers get the gym tour . Or having instructors walking around giving you a spot Their equipment is constantly faulty with long downtime.Their matchbox size saunas,shower and locker rooms facility gives you no space or privacy.

The mobile reception at best can only described as poor. They have some rude members.They have a great range of about two only fm and am stations in their cardio section. There have been many times I could not train because their carpark was full with other events on in the club. No flexability if you dont have your card they don't let you in. Like I said schoolyard stuff. Relatively new centre Overbearing perdantic managment, staff who work there with complacent attitude towards customer care,too small in size.

Great gym! The best of everything – I've been a member of Health Mates for over 4 years. The refurb is amazing & they have the best cardio equipment by far! Got to check it out if you haven't already! In the past my friends tried to coax me to try other gyms, but Health Mates is still the best. After hearing some of their stories I know where I'd rather be going. There are always staff around to offer assistance, their group classes are some of the best around and there is a stack to choose from. The instructors make every class fun and manage to push me to go just that bit further right when I need a kick in the butt. It's air conditioned and the place always looks clean and tidy - they obviously take pride in what they do and offer. Not that I use it, they offer programs for older adults and now have kids classes as well. My neighbour is 67 years old and raves about their Active Over 50's lessons. She grins from ear to ear when she tells me about it. I love the competitions and events they put on also. It has a great vibe and makes me look forward to doing my workouts. Friendly & knowledgable staff, extra services like massage & personal training, flexi memberships, no pushy sales people, secure parking, close to trains, good hours, clean, no "meat heads", great buzz No pool - please build one!!

Excellent – I used to be a member of Health Mates before they renovated the centre, it was good then, it is great now! They renovated in June 2009 and it is great having a brand new centre to work out in. There are loads of equipment, I have never seen it so busy that you have to wait for equipement, there is now a separate ladies training area, which is great for those that feel intimidated lifting weights with the guys! There are two exercise rooms including a cycle class, lots of variety in the class types and times and they are open long hours. The new changerooms / showers are great, plenty of room, modern and very clean. I would highly recommend joining Health Mates. I travel 20 mins to come to this gym because it is good value for money and far nicer than any gym closer to my area. Lots of equipment
