A brutal heating beast – This thing heats my entire uninsulated 160sqm brick veneer house in Canberra. I use it in conjunction with a heat transfer system. I get 12 hour burns when it's stacked full of yellow box or ironbark or red gum. I cook on the top. I previously had an insert of a similar size which struggled. It's 10 degrees outside now and 26 degrees inside. A bit hot for me but the wife is happy.

Purchased for $3,149.

Good performance but poor internal materials – I have been using mine for the last three winters now and to be honest it is a good performer to heat the house, but. Well I have had to replace the internal tubes once under warranty, otherwise cost $300. Two years later, the wall plates that hold the heat bricks in place and the tube support bracket. All of them heat destroyed, cost of replacement $360. Well made my own to get around the cost and wait time for replacements. I don’t mind doing maintenance and replacing parts but the sheer cost for poorly made stamped out steel does not impress me. Just as well I have the skills to make and do it myself, heavens help if I had to also pay someone to replace them. All the bolts to take them off all broke off. No, a great heater, replacement parts as dear as poison. So disappointed in overall quality.

Excellent heater – 12 hour plus burn - Very small amount of ash left in fire box. I would rate it 12 out of 10. Installed over summer and have been using it for the last 6 weeks.

Very very very good – Had woodheaters in the past and this one craps all over them. Did all my research and this is one of the most efficient on the Australian market with very small emmissions. The price is very competitive . It is a sub brand of quadrafire . I am siiting here writing this review in the middle of a cold snap in short sleeves. Past woodheaters have left a build up of coal in the bottom of the heater requiring regular cleaning, this one leaves a fine dust and i am yet to clean it out. It really pumps out that bone warming heat. Cannot recommend it enough..
