Helga's Traditional Wholemeal

New Helga’s wholemeal bread is too soft and disappears into nothing. Terrible quality. Bring back the old style!
I have been eating Helgas bread for 8yrs now, it was superior to all other breads, my house hold alone goes thru 10-12 bags a week, white and wholemeal bread. I made the change to Helgas because the bread was firmer, had more flavour and didn't taste like cardboard when you toasted it. These past few weeks of eating tastless toast have left me… Read more
very disappointed and I have made the choice to move on to another brand, thank you for 8yrs of delicious bread, if you go back to the old recipe I will return to buying Helgas, until then I will be buying other brands until I find one that satisfys my taste.
Earlier, I used to love Helga's traditional wholemeal bread a lot; it was of perfect texture and delicious taste too. The new, softer version is not up to the mark like its previous version. I sincerely hope they will bring back the old one rather than the softer bread. Show details
A shadow of it's former self – This product has steadily declined over the years and is now just a puffed up version of a white bread with a hint of dark colouring. Really just a waste of time and money. It rarely makes it to expiry without a forest of fungi engulfing each slice. The manufacturers really take the consumer for fools. The Aldi equivalent leaves it for dead. Show details
Shinkage – I have bought Helga whole meal for years and am so disappointed that the slices have gotten so small that I will have to look elseware for a full slice bread. Show details
Decline in quality consistently – Wanting to try the Helgas Wholemeal bread again just to see if the quality has improved. I had stopped buying it for a long time since noticing the quality has declined consistently over the past 10 years. I wasn't impressed after purchasing one at Woolworths for $4.10, It was dry, flaky and falls apart when you pick up a slice, it just feels like… Read more
it was long overdue that had been in the fridge for a very long time, it was not fresh at all even though it was just purchased from the supermarket. I won't be buying it ever again. The wholemeal bread at Aldi is soooo much better and only costs $2.49.
Caused Diarrhoea and got fungus before expiry – Bread caused serious Diarrhoea, not just me but my whole family, also bread got fungus even before expiry. I am attaching proof. Its shameful for a bread that is so expensive to be like this. Show details
Best Tasting Wholemeal Bread – They say you get what you pay for and I truly believe in that saying. I paid $3.90 for a loaf of this beautiful, tantalising, and super soft bread. Made the best tasting and very healthy sandwiches with it, and it stayed fresh for several days. Excellent for toast as well. I can not fault it, just absolutely delightful!
