Herbatint Questions & Answers
I’m going to cut my hair short and go gray— my roots are quite white. Could I dye my hair platinum blond to cover the roots and let it grow out that way?
What colour is one shade darker than 6N with no red tones
I am nearly 69years old and have been putting henna on my hair since I am 18.I am very lucky that I have not got many grey hairs but it has become such a drag that I ended up buying my first Herbatint color at Amazon.I bought 3 packs more through Amazon which came from England. So I colored my roots and a bit of hair with chestnut/mahogany.it turned out nearly black but luckily faded a bit with time.and then, suddenly I started losing hair like crazy.up till today my hair is breaking off.the bath is full of hair.I would REALLY advise people to NOT buy Herbatint.it damaged my hair very badly and I am in permanent shock.to this day I am losing lots of hair. Now I am wondering if I could return it to Herbatint England.I would REALLy be very greatful if I could get my money returned. Thank you Marietha Schleich
I’ve been using the Dark Chestnut once a month as my roots have to be touched up. Each time it seems to get darker and darker with layering, and is now almost black. As I’m older I feel its too dark for me as I’m pale skinned. I really want my hair to be dark brown not black. My question is, if I switch to the next colour down - Chestnut - Will this cover my white roots without making them orange?
I just use an applicator brush to cover the roots and leave the rest. I used to cover the whole hair every few months but realised that I don’t need to do that because I like the ombré colour I get by just retouching the roots.
how often can you color your hair with herbatint?
Can I use toners with herbatint ?
Is Herbalist true to colour on box ? And what herb's are actually in it ?
Probably true to colour if you want to put up with months of distress if you have a reaction to it. Look on the box for ingredients… my patch test didn’t register an allergy. But the product was dreadful for me.
They are a bit darker than the box Gentler on hair No itching Probably faded out a bit sooner than the salon type dyes
Can I use Herbatint every 3 weeks?
I use it like around every 3 weeks, its completely fine.
My hair in front / top seems a lot more resistant. It oxidizes quickly. I always put extra color on this area. Should I be doing that? How do I get better coverage?
I was happy with the result after using Herbatint....it covered all my grey and lasted for a couple of months.
Can I use both the whole lot of the 60ml of hair colour gel with developer to dye my hair instead of half the amount of each ones mixed together?
Is it possible to purchase the Glycol Developer separately? I have plenty of the color product but in several boxes received the Developer was not completely full.
What is the exact shade?
Ash blonde 7C
I have recently bought Herbatint 2N which is Dark Brown. After coloring as per instruction, I find that the color is too dark as though it is black. If I use 3N - dark chestnut, will it be dark brown?
Hi Is this product safe to use after 1 month hair transplant thanks
My hair is totally grey - about 3 different shades of it and some is white. Do you think the colour will go over so much grey? I used to have auburn coloured hair so am also not sure which colour to buy, though would like a light auburn colour. Thank you.
Mary, my hair is not only grey but it is very strong, and it covers that excellently.. the beauty of having different shades of grey is that your hair will hopefully come out different shades of the colour that you put into it making it look so natural.. I do not do the roots first, I just put it on and leave it for the 30 or 40 min and it comes out great.. A friend said that the last two that she has used have not taken so well and feels that they have changed it so i am waiting to see how this batch goes.. but try it, it is natural, and that is important.. I find that the gloves are hard to get on and not big enough for my hands and i do wish that they would put a bit of powder in them so as your hands slide in well.. Don't go as dark as when you were young as it will look awful because your skin colour changes.. go two shades lighter and see how you go... I was very dark and now get the 6 n brown i think it is or medium brown.. dont worry, it grows out if wrong ... heheh
Thank you for the advice. I will go ahead and dye it. I will put up a report.
