Just received brand new 2026 Hikoki Gen2 Finshing gun 15gauge 34° And compared straight away with my old Hitachi Gen1 Finishing Gun 15gauge 34° i brought new back in 2018 (which only this year started to No longer sink the nails all the way home (50 & 65mm) still sinks 32mm. Wow huge difference just pulling it out the box. 1) its wayyy lighter… Read more

(so my mind thought_oh no_will this sink nails..? ☆Answered with a big Yes •it sinked 50mm & i had to adjust to the lowest setting (my old Hitachi does not any more ‍:( •tryed 65mm nails_still had to go to the lowest setting, sinked the nails with ease in both single fire & bump/rapid fire (old Hitachi left them ½ way home :( (See my short video) •then tryed 32mm_Lol_definetly on the lowest setting & bump fire (only nail my old Hitachi will sink home now :)

Oh the other thing (except for lighter weight) ☆Instantly while firing both guns @ the same time in both my hands_i could feel the strong & immediate thumping power wayyyy over my old Hitachi finish gun_it blew me away how much more powerful this gun is. ☆Next positive i noticed striaght away was how much more user friendly this gen2 gun is_the power button is wayyyy more visable & easier to reach than my old Gen1 gun & as well as the single fire or bump fire button •Last of all, i placed both guns next to each other to stand up on their own_& the new Gen 2 sat upright with no assitance & balanced all on its own_when i let go of my old Gen1 Hitachi_it just fell over :( •ooow..ow yer... The handle, its slightly easier to grab & hold onto, its a little thinner than my old Gen1 handle & it felt good & secure in my hand.

Both still have the same lights & same "No-tool" required to empty any jams. •oh yer..the head on the Gen2 Hikoki is smaller in size to_meaning it will fit in tighter places •And the firing head is easier to see_before U nail that suck#r. •the hook for your belt fits nicely into my "shorts pocket" & flows without snags when pulling out (yep i try not to wear a tool belt as much as i can get away with it) ☆oohhrr yer..The New gen2 multi volt battery (it came wif) its got like a rubber-ish bottom, which was an instant touch_notice thing_it "grips" in my hand _like wayyy better than all my 18 volts & 36 multi volts - especially when i'm always in a hurry to pack-up @ knock-off time (when the slippery suck#rs almost fly outta my hands) These New multi volts were so rubbery on the bottoms, i was playing with them after a charge (old & new together) the old were easily sliding around on my table, but the new with the same force just sat there & would not budge ( i said_with the same force_yer).

Hope this helps your decision making. ▪︎As for how long this Gen2 will last_i hope as long as my gen1 did i purchased back in 2018

Cheers little ears James. JAMES BUILT®️
