We bought this TV from the Good Guys Bundaberg on 20 June 2022. About 2 1/2 years later it started to turn itself off with frequency. We did all the usual things turn off at power point etc. Eventually fearing it may never turn back on and it was running out of warranty we rang the Good Guys on 8May 2025 they gave it a case number and referred it… Read more

to Hisense. On 12May 2025 Hisense rep rang and did a full factory reset on line with us. This is a lengthy procedure and also meant we had to reconnect to the internet and also to all our streaming services. It took us a couple of hours. The TV was okay for about a month then it started doing it again. We rang Hisense on 13 June 2025 who advised we would have to do another full reset, then reconnect to the internet and input all our passwords for the second time. We were not happy and asked if this is a monthly thing with Hisense TVs. He said resetting a TV is necessary every now and again. We also have a 65" Samsung SUHD TV 8 years old it has never had to be reset,. I notice the Good Guys have just had an extensive TV campaign for end of financial year heavily advertising Hisense TVs. All I can say is beware of Hisense they do not appear to be a good value TV.

Absolute garbage – This tv has been nothing but awful!! It’s freezes continuously for no reason And the only way to reset it is to turn it off at the power point Seriously don’t waste ya money no matter how cheap they are going !!! Show details

Hisense makes NO sense! – Purchased 18/03/2023 from Harvey Norman This unit won't turn on about once a week. Tv turns on - blank, deep blue screen. Remote doesn't work anymore, can only turn it off by removing the power cord. Usually after a few hours (overnight) it works again as it should. Every time there is a software upgrade it's guaranteed not to work anymore. Had… Read more

the motherboard replaced - didn't fix the problem. Second complaint and request to fix it has been ignored

This is the Best ever picture I have ever seen - PERFECT - – I have only owned this HISENSE 55 inch TV for a few weeks - I bought a Hisense as I had seen one recently that a neighbour had purchased. I found instantly that the picture was the BEST I had ever seen, and the remote is also the best I have ever seen . Yes, this is just the BEST TV ever. I have never ever noticed a TV in a Shop that really… Read more

stood out, but this HISENSE 55A7HAU is just the BEST - Highly Recommended - Also it was hundreds of dollars less expensive than other Major Brands like LG & Samsung etc. It was very easy to set up, doing most things by itself. Very easy to find Netlix & YOU TUBE etc. also very easy to install TEXT on the screen which is Great for us oldies.. two seconds to add TEXT or take it off. as it has its own buttons. I watch foxtel mostly, and it is very simple to watch shows on demand etc. If I miss a show I just click on when it was on, so, I can watch any of My favorite shows when I want. Now as I said , I have a perfect TV picture , but I had to get a new FOXTEL BOX during the week, and the guy said My TV Antenna signal was about 6 instead of 26... He didn't know how the TV was even showing a Good Picture... ALSO, The Hisense TVs come with 3 year warranty. so, You don't need to pay for extra warranty. The easiest smart TV that I have ever seen.. Yes, Highly recommended.

Quality is still missing but value for money – Still not the best pictures for dark pixels however bright colour's are spot on. If you are on a budget but still want great value for money you cant go past the HiSense TVs. They give a good warranty compared to other manufacturers and this is my 2nd HiSense TV purchased in 3 years. Show details

Affordable and quality – After purchasing a new tv for the shed I was very pleased with all features and the picture quality. Having apps such as kao and more was really surprising given the price. I would definitely purchase the same brand for a new one inside too. Show details

OK quality for the price we bought for – The picture quality is OK not too great for the price we paid for. They are cheaper when compared to other companies. The screen at time freezes so need to turn it off and then turn it back on. Apart from that no issues. Happy with it. Show details

Clarity of picture and ease of use – When first turned on, the picture quality is definitely a wow. So sharp and colours were perfect right out of the box. Navigating through the systems was straight forward and making changes are easy. The remote control is excellent and the actual voice commands work. Connection to WiFi or internet is very straight forward, but the software… Read more

controlling the content on the screen is average at best and navigation away from Vidaa TV is how you will start viewing. The TV cannot be set to return to last watched program or open at favourite channel, if it can do these things, it is impossible to find. Luckily it is not difficult to navigate to your choice of streaming platform or free to air channel, so although annoying when you wish to promptly open a live show, it is the only real gripe with the entire package. If they lose Vidaa and put in better software the Hisense would be perfect.

Sound sync and aspect ratio – Sound sync fixed with latest update, however the aspect ratio is not working. I've seen all the recommended fixes and they don't work. Hisense needs to work on this because this is such a basic feature. The fact that I have it grayed out for certain source types is useless. It should not matter the type of source aspect ratio should be just the signal received and dealing with that signal on the TV itself. Show details

Great TV! Excellent service from Hisense – I bought this TV for about $755. Much cheaper than other TV's, but picture just as good. I chose Hisense because it has a 4 year warranty (all other TV's at that price, only 1 year warranty). Had a small issue, with the first one I bought, and Hisense replaced it in less than a week. They were in regular contact with me, and I cannot fault their service. Would recommend the TV and Hisense company to anyone. Show details

Big problems after only 6 months – Problems with turning on and off , freezing ect The tvs performance was actually great for the price and what I want . with my own eyes . I had a look at this website to see if anyone understood or was it just me ? Well every second comment is my story . Hisense are complete nonsense they’ll stuff you over and anything to save money and put you out in any way shape or form for you not to get a refund or a replacement . Guys AVOID HISENSE . Pay the extra 1000-2000 and go with a reputable brand like Sony - LG - Samsung . Don’t try save a bit you’ll just get that energy of cutting corners . What a joke this was . I’m going to JB now and demanding my tv to be picked up and refunded and trust me when I say this , they’ll do as I say .

Great TV with three problems (that could be anoying) – The picture quality and price of this TV is excellent however this model Hisense Smart TV (43A7HAU) has the following three problems. 1. Sometimes when using the internet the TV can lock up (freeze) and only pulling out the power plug will allow the TV to operate correctly. As there is no Hard wired on/off switch only pulling out the mains plug… Read more

will unfreeze the TV. 2. On every occasion when I watch STAN, Netflix, Youtube or any on line (via the internet) application, the internet drops out (on a regular basis) and I must re select STAN, Netflix, Youtube or any on line application to re connect to the internet. I have three Samsung Smart TV's and this fault only occurs on my Hisense Smart TV. This problem may be due to the limited internal memory of my Hisense Smart TV as I sometimes get a error message indicating limited memory. 3. When viewing dark scenes the brightness of the picture varies (goes slightly darker then returns to normal dark)

So if you would get annoyed if your smart TV's internet connection (not an actual Internet failure problem) disconnects from the internet 2 to 3 times while watching a movie then this is not the Smart TV for you. Also, if you intend to use this Smart TV for access to the internet (using the browser) then maybe this is not the smart TV for you.

If however I am just an unlucky person who has purchased a Hisense 43A7HAU smart TV that has faults that can be fixed by the manufacture, I will happily apologise/remove this review.

Horrible service – Bought tv from Bing Lee. Organised a service call. Have rang three times now. Each time I request a call and no one has returned my call. I have an over 2.5 k tv in the living room that won’t turn on. First tv from them was good however I would say avoid at ALL COSTS Show details

Service is very bad – Have tried to get help with my TV online chat is very rude and will not call you. They gave me a hard time saying it was a power point issue. Then changed my DNS to add no difference. I tried calling on 3 occasions one session was 30min, the second another 28min and then finally 56min and no answer. Then I opted for two call backs got nothing. I will have to go to good guys and complain from there I guess. Show details

Great value for money – Paid $540 for a Hisense A7HAU 43A7HAU (43") TV including delivery and removal of my 14 year old 42 inch Panasonic plasma TV. In hindsight I wish I’d paid $100 extra for the 50 inch model after realising that the thin bezel meant that the 50 inch model would fit in the limited space I had in my bedroom. Picture quality is good. The TV is far better… Read more

value for money than top of the line OLED models which probably only give a marginal improvement in picture quality. It took me ages to get the picture the way I preferred because of the large number of options available. Understanding how the operating system works was trial and error and took a long time. Hisense should provide a manual to make it easier. It's backed by a 3 year warranty. The value for money is excellent.

Is it worth the money? – I purchased this ULED 4K Smart TV on 25/1/23 not realising it's one that runs Hisense own corporate software (VIDAA). Cost $995. The picture is great but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. Can't install Google Play and have to rely on Hisense very limited range of apps. Also can't install a VPN and therefore can't access foreign content… Read more

unless there's a app in Hisense very small library. If you want a VPN you'll need to find a complicated work around. Would I recommend TV's using this operating system or buy another one - ABSOLUTELY NOT. Be wary of any TV using VIDAA or WebOS they are NOT Android based sets and therefore very restricted in the apps you can download. I have also recently discovered there is no app for some catch up tv channels.
