DON'T DO IT. Hisense 10kg front loader. It is less than 6months old and F23 error keeps coming up with the most absurd alarm known to man. Called Hisense who organised the repairer for that id*ot to tell me it is my fault for using the recommended detergents because it gunks up the sensor. He cleaned the sensor and then tried to charge me. It… Read more
happened again, clearly not the sensor and then Hisense said they will do nothing about it because the repairer wont fix it. It is clearly a lemon and Hisense is clearly dodgy judging by the crappy reviews and passing the buck. Turns out the fellow I ended up taking to replaced the pump and now it works. Go figure.
Just under 2 years the washing machine is leaking and the water has damaged adjacent cabinetry. Cracks have also appeared on the plastic door. Very disappointing. Show details
I was so looking forward to my new washing machine. Its a heap of cr^p. How hard is it to design a machine where you get to choose your wash time, temperature and spin speed? Its not that hard. But this machine is so freaking complex you can't… Read more
get that, you either choose a 3 hour wash at 1000 degrees or a 30 minute wash on cold. There's no way to choose what you actually want without connecting via an app. I wouldn't need an app if it had the bleeding settings on the machine! The options provided dont suit my needs at all.
The spin is cr^p. It says its 1500 rpm but it doesn't dry near as well as my old lower rpm one. The towels took 1.5hrs to dry in the dryer (compared to 50mins with my old machine).
10kg. Not really. Barely takes more than my old 6.5kg.
Also you can see anything through the black door.
Also the door seal came out and I cant get it back in.
The clothes dont even feel that clean compared to my old machine.
This brought no joy at all and I'm tempted to plug in the old one.
Follow-up · Still hate this machine with a passion.
Machine broke down on the 2nd of May where the machine wouldn’t spin. This was reported back through the place of purchase to Hisense who arranged a service call. Technician advised the pump needed to be replaced. Part took a week to arrive at which time the tech called to book a date for the following week. The pump was replaced and the tech… Read more
advised the machine was fixed. When I tried to run a cycle after he left the timer would count down however again the machine wouldn’t spin. I called straight back and was advised the tech wouldn’t be able to return until the following week. The tech advised the motor needed replacing as well and would need to order the part. They called last Friday to confirm the part arrived however they wouldn’t be able to come until the 13th of June.
At 08:30 on the 13th of June, on the day the machine was to be repaired again, the service tech called to advise the wrong part had arrived. They said the part number was correct but it’s the wrong part and they would now need to order another before booking in another return visit.
It had now been over 5 weeks with no washing machine. Through the awful weather and rain with young children and a dog we have been unable to wash clothes, towels, bedlinen etc without the inconvenience and expense of travelling to and from our relatives homes while juggling work and other commitments. This has caused a large amount of stress. All detailed with Hisense who offered no alternative assistance.
With the prospect of another week for the part to come in and then re-booking the tech for days later we could no longer wait and bought another machine out of desperation.
Hisense got in touch again to apologize and acknowledge the inconvenience. They mentioned the repairer said the part arrived damaged. This differed from what they had told me. They then said the repairer had found the part in their storeroom and would be able to come and fix it after booking in another visit.
The machine eventually has been repaired however far beyond the expected timeline. The whole process was a shambles.
Hisense offered nothing more than apologies and refused any reimbursement for inconvenience, laundry fees or the replacement machine. I will no longer purchase products by Hisense due to this experience
Dont buy Hisense – If I could give it zero rating I would … stay away from Hisense …. They are like the plague … Hisense support and custom relations are the worst… I bought a brand new 10kg front loader and have had 3 issues with it and it’s only been 5 months … they do not honour their warranty they try to pass the buck and say it was negligence, wear and tear… Read more
and even an act from god and insinuate that it is your fault so you can pay for the repair … first two repairs defective hoses to which their authorised repairer removed the rubber seal … now I have damaged seal due to either their repairer not installing it correctly or defective like their hoses… hello it’s five months old and doesn’t get used excessively …clearly not wear and tear…customer relations have not been helpful … two weeks on and still they are not honouring their warranty… dont bother calling they aren’t helpful , everything is via email… now I’m putting in an offical complaint with ACCC… stay away their products are defective and they have the worst customer service
Warranty refused ONLY 4 MONTHS OLD! – After 4 months of normal usage, the front loader started leaking from the front, like a tap! Contacted The Good Guys to initiate warranty. A tear began to develop in the gasket. After 2 weeks of back and forth Hisense are refusing warranty due to, and I quote “physical force, including any damage or failure cause by an accident, neglect, misuse,… Read more
or an “act of God”;
The unit has been used normally, under expected conditions, no misuse or physical force. The “act of God” part is really rich. Seems like Hisense Australia are just trying to waste as much as they can to maximise their sales imo.
Upon inspecting the gasket, the silicone material is much thinner than competitor brands, and for a 10KG washing machine, this design is not fit for purpose.
The Good Guys have not been helpful at all, in previous warranty experience with JB HIFI they just replaced the product no questions, Good Guys not so much.
Now having to take the case up with the ACCC, all the while my family is without a washing machine.
For a $900 machine, you would expect better! Do not buy this product.
Terrible service from Hisense – Creases washing terribly. At just 1 year old is making really loud knocking noises, the rubber seal around the door is twisted, but the worst part is the after sales service from Hisense. Absolutely shocking, have to chat to a bot online, have sent in multiple emails with info and they are just not helpful at all. All I need is a technician to come out and fix the machine as it’s still under warranty. I will never buy a Hisense product again. Show details
Hisense can take the high road – Love the design but the technology suck! As others have mentioned it's not exactly 10Kg for every day use - it's around 6kg! At first the spinning drum sounded like a motor engine, and when that went away weeks later, the detergent and softener compartment failed to drain. Had the technician came over and treated me like an idiot and telling me,… Read more
"the softener liquid is too watery". I had to show him the blocked valve resorting him replacing the entire compartment draw. After he left, the liquids still fail to drain! I finally had enough and demanded an exchange. I now have a Westinghouse and it's so quiet and the settings are simple. And yes, it's a 10KG front loader - that's 10kg for everyday load ^_^
Avoid at all costs – Steer clear of Hisense washing machines. I wish I’d someone would have told me that before I purchased this. From the beginning it has had nothing but problems. Straight out of the box it couldn’t compete a cycle because it kept getting an error message. I should have been given a new one but it took 3 goes for the technician to repair it. Then a… Read more
few months later it started to sound like a 747 taking off when it was on a spin cycle. Contact Hisense who told me there is something stuck in the filter so I’ll have to pay to send someone out. I have checked the filters and there is nothing there. I have to delay start it as it’s too noisy to use when we are home, now that has stopped working. I try and delay start it for 1 hour and it starts up after a minute.
So despite to still being in warranty Hisense have told me if I need to get someone out then I will be charged. I would steer clear of this brand at all costs, becomes if something happens your on your own.
Terrible – Selling it online with zero stock. If you cant supply it, stop fooling customers
save yourself many headaches and choose a different brand/or washer – •Firstly- it’s not a 10kg washer, it’s absurd that it can be marketed as such when all but 1 cycle has a maximum load capacity of 6kg. •Second complaint- the single cycle offering a 10kg capacity is a 3.5hour cycle- incase you think that’s a typo- it’s correct the cycle takes 3 and a half hours to complete. 3.5hrs…210minutes. • just my opinion… Read more
but I cannot see that as being economical.. at all.
• so the washer is 2.5months old. It says it has no softener. The softener reservoir is full.
• if it does in fact use the softener and detergent in the reserves it clearly uses a pea size amount because liquid in the reservoir doesn’t decline, ever. I havnt had to fill the detergent since I bought it! I do multiple loads daily. I poured a single bottle in when I purchased the machine and the level has remained unchanged since.. maybe that’s what they’re referring to when they say it’s economical. But I prefer my clothes to actually smell clean after being washed. These clothes do not. In fact they smell worse, a bit like wet washing that’s been left in a basket. Or stagnant water or whatever. It’s gross. They smell mouldy.
•because of this I have to add additional detergent into the manual detergent compartment, otherwise the clothes stink.
•it doesn’t have a manual softener compartment, so after every wash I have to then do an additional “quickwash” using softener in the manual detergent compartment. Another trait that screams uneconomical.
•the cycles are automatic and do not offer the ability to modify them. If you want the quickwash to spin at a higher speed so the clothes aren’t sopping when it’s finished- you cannot. You have to use the slow spin. It doesn’t give you the option to increase the spin speed and therefore increase the cycle length, if be fine for the cycle ti take a little longer but nope, not possible. U use their settings or u don’t use it at all.
•there is no option to manually select the stages in a cycle, and no “manual” cycle to let the user enter their preferences. If you want a hot wash on the quick cycle u expect it to simply take a little longer, but nope, can’t have hot water on a quick cycle regardless.
The biggest disappointment is the unpleasant smell of the clothes once they’ve been washed. I don’t know why they smell but they do.
•this washer has probably been the biggest regret of all the things I have bought in my life.
•I can’t understand how they can sell it as a 10kg washer when it’s untrue, 3.5hours for a cycle is absurd and not what I consider reasonable but this is the required time for 10kg. You cannot wash 10kg in this washer unless you’re prepared to wait 3.5hours. I mean, I could probably hand wash 10kg in less time than that. Take my advice and avoid this machine. Oh and just to top it off my app won’t allow me to login without resetting my password- no worries. I have requested a reset link about 5 times now and nothing has come thru. Still waiting. Went to try and login again and I’ve been locked out of my account due to too many attempts at password reset. Great. Anyway it’s been nothing but issues and this is the last straw for me so I jumped online to write this. At almost 1K I expect better.
Not really 10kg – I recently turned to the world of the front loader. Did my research, read reviews but I am so disappointed and I hate the machine. This may not be the machines fault but it does not do the things it says it does. Is this normal? The load settings don’t allow for 10kg, the spin does not spin at 1500rpm. It does towels at 800! I have attached a… Read more
screen shots from the manual that shows maximum loads. Shirts maximum load is 3kg and it takes an hour and a half. I have two boys and a full time Job. This is just crazy and not what I signed up for. Perhaps this is the world of front loaders, this is my first but would not have purchased it had I known.
Good Machine, Easy As to use – Did some research on company and decided to take a chance on the brand. We like it once we got over the "how does it work" syndrome. We use the auto setting for almost everything, it weighs the load, sets time, etc. We ain't gotta do nutten. Nice pre wash option for really soiled or smelly clothing. Why only 4 stars? Because it does not sort and load the wash, empty the washer and hang cloths out to dry and then being them i and fold them
