Hisense 40K3300UW (40")

Do not recommend Hisense 40" smart tv – I have just bought a Hisense 40" in smart tv (my first smart tv) and I am very, very disappointed with the picture quality. It is worse than a ordinary tv I have had for at least 15 years. Would not recommend.

Simply crap – To start with the items listed by Product Review, the smart TV functions have not been fully tested so no comment on that, the plug in facilities on the back look good but not fully tested, the remote control works OK not fully tested, The initial set up following the printed directions didn't work so I had to phone Hisense and wait nearly one… Read more

hour for phone to answer. The person assisted me and after a complex series of instructions, got the TV to work on antenna only. I gave up after that so haven't tested wireless or internet systems yet. Ports seem OK The sound is terrible, even on very low volume (5 - 7) there is a regular buzzing noise like you used to get with overloading the volume on a cheap radio. The picture is regularly washed out and there is ghosting plus other poor quality picture issues. What good is all the fancy stuff if you can't get a good picture and sound??? Waste of $500.

Terrible – One of the worst tv we ever purchased,remote didnt work,store wouldnt exchange at first but at the end did,then few days later wouldnt turn on at all,wasnt remote but sensor on tv,took it back they gave me replacement and guess what after one month no picture. Cheap brand won't last long – I purchased a Hisense TV from Harvey Norman on 11/06/17. Took it home, hooked it up would not power on, returned it within the hour and was given a replacement. would have to contact Hisense. I contacted Hisense the next day and the tech told me that a repair man would contact me the following week. The repair man came to my house and repaired the tv. It worked fine in the first 3 days. Again it would not power on. I again contacted Hisense Only to be told I would have to ship the Tv to the Warehouse for them to check it. And it would take up approx. 2 weeks. Even spoke to a manager who told me the same thing. Even asked for a refund only to be told no refund.

I am a consumer spending my hard earned money on a product that did not work at all, It's plain to me that Hisense does not care about their product or their customer, only getting your money. Why should anyone spend their time and money on a RIP OFF.

menu items; so you have a handy list of most used menu items; very simple but smart. The remote is snappy and useful. We do not have a super fast internet connection but youtube and netflix run smoothly and give absolute amazing quality streams without any pauses to buffer while viewing. Laptop via HDMI is crystal clear and fast. A lot of ports for video and audio in and out. Personally i think the design is stunning; super small edges and a stylish metallic strip on the bottom, that looks good in any living room. Love the two small side stands instead of a single ugly stand in the middle. It is not the flattest TV out there. The sound quality isn't top notch but very acceptable. Longevity for me is still unknown since only owned for couple of days. In conclusion; this TV is an absolute winner considering price/quality. Definitely highly recommended; you cannot get any better for this price.

Excellent – Set-up was a breeze, just followed the quick set-up guide to get the basics working. the options for sound etc.which is acceptable but is improved after you read the manual and select the other sound options.

The picture quality is excellent and comparable or even better than our other TV which is a Plasma. When our Plasma dies we know what the replacement will be.

Would have liked the bigger model but was limited space wise to the 40" for where we wanted it as a second telly. Has enough ports and connections for our needs and interfaced with our wireless modem which is 3 rooms away at about 18m without a problem.

The 3 year warranty is a bonus, no hard sell from the retailer to take out their extended warranty.

Good price – I have had the TV for almost 6 years and I have to say it functions very well, it has great sound and is user friendly. However, it lacks the current features which can be frustrating to use sometimes. But i have to say the price of the TV is great and you can get the same quality without having to spend extra money on other big brands.  Show details

Don't let brand name fool you! – Have had many different Hisenses in each room of my house and not one of them have let me down so far after 5 years collectively. These tv's are just as good as your LG's, Samsung etc.. and this model is no different. The picture quality is excellent, speakers are average but a good soundbar should fix the issue. Love a SMART TV – This tv has been a great addition to our home. It is used in the bedroom & is a great sized screen. Has great sound & the built in apps are great & we use them alot of the time. Cheap and Nasty – I bought this TV late in 2016 after reading positive reviews. Should have known better that you can't get quality at a budget price. problems with the SBS stations and to a lesser extent the Channel 10 stations. If you switch to SBS One or Viceland the TV will stop responding to the remote for up to 30 seconds or more. Inexplicable. The TV has completely stopped responding on several occasions, failed to show a picture or turned itself off from standby. The only solution has been to power the TV down and back up. You get what you pay for. I won't buy this brand again.

Very good value for money – I'm using this primarily as a PC Monitor, and I've very pleased with the performance and quality of the video output. As it is a smart-tv it takes a few seconds (15-20?) to start up.

Based on this I would definitely consider other Hi-Sense products.

Awsum TV – Picture quality is amazing so clear and perfect for movies. Sound and speakers that are built in are great feels like you are getting the full theatre experience. Great value for the price – Got it from Harvey Norman with a promo. Paid only 400 bucks. I wouldn't complain anything for a 4k TV at this price lol. The picture is quite sharp and bright. Works well with my xiaomi mibox and apple tv. However it has no HDR so if you wanna play 4k console games this might not be the best choice. Perfect for what we are after – I really like this tv. It is much cheaper than your top brands but the gadgets and quality is just as good. I have had hisense tvs before and have never had a problem. Don't buy online through Harvey Norman – The TV is OK - but we attempted to buy this online through Harvey Norman during their Thursday night specials and they took the money from our account but then sent an email saying we were refused to purchase. Wonderful TV at a most reasonable price! – Good unit at a reasonable price. Came with a hadcopy set up guide and batteries for the remote.
