What a misleading crap tv – Where do i start. Bought this tv for our main family. Ended up in the kids play room due to its bad quality. The audio/video sync was off. Called hisense for support. Did a manual update, slight improvement. The lagging of the tv is horrible. Needs more Ram memory and better processor to handle apps and steaming. Can't not play 4K video. Bluray it also struggles. Never again will buy hisense or any Chinese made crap. Show details

Don't waste your Money!!! – Don't waste your money on this Tv >The K680 is not compatible with 4k technology and it will not work for your Xbox One S and Ps4. The Response from Hisense was that the 4k technology in 2015 is different to 4k Now!! So i have a 4k tv that can't watch 4k resolution.  Show details

Garbage – This TV is complete garbage; I had to waste over a year with support, they sent useless techs, they ended up telling me that none of my electronics were compatible with the television. Which means, any gaming console, any tv cable box, any pc, anything pretty much. I had to go with consumer protection whom advised to send a legal notice, i had to… Read more

call them, where they just don't give a darn about you. And instead of fixing their product or just calling it back it to send a new one they just refuse to assist you eventually. This TV is COMPLETE GARBAGE. It'll power off on its own and freeze off, it'll lag on you, it'll flash, it'll have spots of lighting, it'll freeze, it'll just have a bunch of huge problems. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. I would not have an issue at the idea of buying with hisense again if they had fixed or traded this garbage for something functional, but they didn't, they made me waste my time, and theirs, and now I have to step it up even higher. I used to have a hisense tv that went well a few years ago, and it still works, but after this experience, they've just striked themselves right out. GARBAGE TELEVISION.

Update: within Samsung UBDK8500 picture is amazing – Previous update 1 year ago was before purchase of the new Samsung 4K blu ray player and all I can say is wow. The set does not have HDR but when watching Deadpool on 4K disc the sharpness and detail of the picture like nothing I have seen before. You will need a HDCP 2.2 converter (got mine on eBay for $70) and you are then set.  Show details

This TV is exactly what you should expect - totally fine!!! – This TV is great. Sure you get what you pay for, so anyone who expects hands-down the best tech and speed, look elsewhere... The picture quality is great, streamed 4K from Youtube last night and looks amazing. My Logitech speakers are being repaired atmo, so have been using TV speakers for the past few weeks, and they are clear and no problem. … Read more

Touch annoying changing between inputs as I need to hit settings > go down to input > change input. But can seriously deal with that.

And if you're like me and have a computer set up to your TV, I literally NEVER use the Smart apps. They aren't the fastest, but the news and youtube work fine and vast majority of other apps go totally unused, and I've owned mine for nearly 2 years.

Don't Buy it – It has lots of problem with its software and it firzes all the time can not watch anything on YouTube everything frizz for a while and sometimes it restarts. The support teams are very rude and don't even try to help they say it's slow internet speed even though I have a very fast internet speed at home.

HISENSE TV ARE GREAT VALUE – I have bought 3 TVs in a year although one has been discontinued 65" K680 Hisense Ultra High Definition TV and two smaller ones all Hisense and am very pleased, I realise now that it was Harvey Norman that sold them to me giving me the wrong information but the TVs themselves are great and i have had to replace the remotes for one reason or… Read more ·  1

another and the company is fantastic and sent them out for free in two to three days no questions asked. There is also great after hours support for setting up and getting information (sometimes Sunday is very busy)

What I have discovered that Netflix and other apps/streams can be impossible or hard to set up on these TVs but everyone hold off buying for the moment. I spoke to HISENSE and they stated that new smart TVs with all these apps are coming (everywhere else in the world have them already we seem to get the discontinued gear). They are bringing out cheaper versions of the Smart TV (Samsung and Panasonic are around $600 for a small 32 inch). I still love my big tv I bought for only $1600 and will buy a Chrome box for Netflix. I love Netflix because I only have ADL were I am so streaming is slow and Presto and Stan do not work well at all. So before buying a TV contact Hisense and find out when the new releases are coming and save some money..

Going back to my 55" Samsung smart tv! – The functions on the tv are atrocious! The media function is something out of the dark ages, and the tv just loads whatever it wants from your hard drive and nothing over 500 items and not in alphabetical order????? And that's just one problem. You definitely get what you pay for.

Hisense just sucks – If you're considering buying a TV don't consider any Hisense TVs. This model and every other Hisense model are manufactured to the worst quality including the Android software. You'll hate it after 3 months of purchasing. If you want to buy a TV that doesn't irritate you buy a Sony or LG TV.

Poor Quality Spent 1200 For Poor Quality Product – Slow start up has ghost effects on sport programs and fast moving programs, 3d won't work only displays green and white on screen. What's the point of buying a 3d tv if it doesn't function. Service very slow had technician come out wasn't able to resolve fault, did not know what was wrong. He took photo of fault and said he would get back to us,… Read more

waiting wouldn't you think they would replace unit or take it away for repairs if fault is evident poor.

After sale service not everyone has a spare 1200 to waste on poor products. Will never recommend or ever buy this product ever again, stick to known brands (LG, Panasonic, Samsung, etc.).

Great Picture poor Apps and no support – Hisense do make a great TV with a great picture but the apps and the start up time is upto 30 seconds. Functions are slow and there is no one button to change between modes. The voice control was excellent but no longer works and Hisense seem fit to blame google for the issue but the TV and remote were made for this function. Hissense refuse to… Read more

fix or compensate for the issue. Until Hisense fix the slow start up and remote functions that are clearly behind the time i would suggest not to buy.

After much debate Hisense finally came to the party and helped but the TV still did not work but hey gave a refund.

Good TV. Needs better software – Great pic quality, but as other people have said you have to play with the settings a little as it is no good out of the box. Remote is also fiddly but can't complain when this set is $1k less than the name brands. Hisense have also released firmware update as well which I think makes it HDMI 2.0, albeit on HDMI port 1 only.

Digital audio to amplifier pathetic – Just bought 65 inch. Connected to amplifier using digital audio. Big Delay in audio Contacted Hisense and they sent USB with software upgrade. A bit better but not acceptable. X box also not performing as it did with Samsung rear projector HD TV. Next step. Send back Hisense tv and outlaying more coin for a Samsung TV

I really like this TV – I noted all the reviews here, and here are my observations. First this TV is half the cost of its competitors, and when stood alongside them it is REALLY hard to see the difference in picture quality. Second this is a Google certified TV and what a lot of people complain about relate to that, however in my view it is just different rather than… Read more ·  1

better or worse. Personally I love it.

It is important to understand that 4k playback is an issue for all UHD devices, it is very early days for the technology. I can confirm that this set accepts a 4k 24khz signal from my Samsung up scaling BD player on HDMI 1 and it looks stunning.

On the android side it is pretty quick to boot, and the interface is nice. Media playback at 1080p across my LAN is really excellent, it is very quick compared to other network players. It is much better than my Samsung BD H6500 which is supposed to be fast. It will, by the way, play a 1440p sample through its inbuilt media player, just not 2160p - yet.

Annoyances? Yes, Google has put the change TV input half way down the menu. Dumb. And I suspect Google has locked out access to the media decoding chip hardware for players other than the inbuilt player. Using a downloaded player you CAN play 4k samples, but it is quite jerky as it can only use the software decoder. Same with 1080p across the network.

But like with other Google devices, maybe we will get updates?

If you are anal spend twice as much. But if you want a big 65 inch screen that looks good and does lots of neat things - with a 3 year warranty, then this might work for you. Enjoy!

Audio out – The picture (video) and audio out to your surround sound receiver are way out of sync. It's really annoying. There is an A / V sync adjustment in Sound settings but it doesn't fix it

You get what you pay for – I wouldn't go that far to say this TV is rubbish, but it certainly very weak in many aspects and technically faulty. Previous reviewer already mentioned the brain-dead switching between inputs. The settings and options menus are cumbersome, hard to navigate and not intuitive at all. Biggest problem I found, however, is that I just bought a 4 k… Read more

TV which can't play back 4 k video files !

The built in android video player just refuses to play any 4 k video file I give him. mkv, avi, mp4 etc. doesn't matter. Always get 'video codec not supported'. That is very poor showing and very disappointing. You can download another video player from play store, and they actually _do_ play back 4 k video files, but they only do SW decoding, which means the frame rate drops to about 5 frames / second, with the TV only powered by a dual core CPU. - unusable

The whole thing really feels like a cheap chinese low cost android tablet with a 4 k display attached to it.

Picture quality is o.k. after adjusting the settings, but video noise very apparent. Speakers sound like flat broad frequency speakers with no base. 3D seems to work well.

Thinking about returning it, as it cant play 4k files. Get a Sony 55 inch 4k for the same price instead.

TV With an Identity Crisis – Great size TV with awesome picture quality, that will hopefully perform better with firmware updates in the future. “Hopefully” Frustrated user experience: 1. Ridiculously long slow boot-up time almost a full minute; 2. Boots with popup info taking a further 20 seconds before volume can be turned down etc; 3. Annoying pop-up menus… Read more

continuously appear whilst watching TV relating to the PVR and Channel Info etc;

4. All menus and option pop-ups take up most of the screen and are not movable or transparent at all;

5. Video Input selection (i.e. you want to change between TV or HDMI inputs) is buried under layers of slow NON-Scrolling menu options;

6. The WiFi air mouse type remote is slow and requires a bit of tedious adjustment before it is half useful;

7. Not usable with WiFi usb type mouse, although keyboards work great;

8. Even slower when boot-up with an external USB Drive attached, and they MUST be FAT32 only….. C’mon Hisense !

9. Picture OOTB (Out of the Box) is crap until you adjust options including disabling ‘Dynamic Contrast’ etc, then it is most awesome, as is the 3D once tweaked and setup;

10. Only comes with 1x set of #D Glasses…. Sob sob 

Advantages:

The google chrome is useful, and a huge improvement on normal Android Browser formats, as is the pre-installed YouTube app. Having the Google Play Store is awesome, but be mindful of limited on board memory space. Plex once installed works seamlessly. Nice 

For the average home user that just wants to plug in their 3D TV and watch it, without struggling through set-up menu’s and researching features and settings…… This is NOT for you….. Appears Hisense has got lost under layers of Android with nowhere near the RAM it needs to support all of it’s features. The 65K680UAD and it’s menus have completely lost it’s “TV Feel” and focus….. making it more a monitor plugged into an awkwardly slow and clumsy Android IP TV box of some sort. Honestly wish I’d purchased the Samsung or LG equivalent….. Snapperhead Reviews.
