What a misleading crap tv – Where do i start. Bought this tv for our main family. Ended up in the kids play room due to its bad quality. The audio/video sync was off. Called hisense for support. Did a manual update, slight improvement. The lagging of the tv is horrible. Needs more Ram memory and better processor to handle apps and steaming. Can't not play 4K video. Bluray it also struggles. Never again will buy hisense or any Chinese made crap. Show details

Don't waste your Money!!! – Don't waste your money on this Tv >The K680 is not compatible with 4k technology and it will not work for your Xbox One S and Ps4. The Response from Hisense was that the 4k technology in 2015 is different to 4k Now!! So i have a 4k tv that can't watch 4k resolution. Show details
Update: within Samsung UBDK8500 picture is amazing – Previous update 1 year ago was before purchase of the new Samsung 4K blu ray player and all I can say is wow. The set does not have HDR but when watching Deadpool on 4K disc the sharpness and detail of the picture like nothing I have seen before. You will need a HDCP 2.2 converter (got mine on eBay for $70) and you are then set. Show details
This TV is exactly what you should expect - totally fine!!! – This TV is great. Sure you get what you pay for, so anyone who expects hands-down the best tech and speed, look elsewhere... The picture quality is great, streamed 4K from Youtube last night and looks amazing. My Logitech speakers are being repaired atmo, so have been using TV speakers for the past few weeks, and they are clear and no problem. … Read more
Touch annoying changing between inputs as I need to hit settings > go down to input > change input. But can seriously deal with that.
And if you're like me and have a computer set up to your TV, I literally NEVER use the Smart apps. They aren't the fastest, but the news and youtube work fine and vast majority of other apps go totally unused, and I've owned mine for nearly 2 years.
stay away from this 1 – bought this tv for the bedroom had it for 6 months and got dead pixels but couldve just been a bad 1. the worse thing was this tv froze up quite a bit wen trying to surf the net its like the operating systems half there way to many bugs. overall pic quality was pretty good. forget this tv for any sort of gaming the input lag is really bad. the tv… Read more
itself has all the pros and cons would have been good if they worked. eg the mic wont work unless you press the speaker icon on the screen itself and somtimes not even then. also app support just isnt there at all. forget any firmware upgrades. this tv is just 1 of the bad 1s imo
HISENSE TV ARE GREAT VALUE – I have bought 3 TVs in a year although one has been discontinued 65" K680 Hisense Ultra High Definition TV and two smaller ones all Hisense and am very pleased, I realise now that it was Harvey Norman that sold them to me giving me the wrong information but the TVs themselves are great and i have had to replace the remotes for one reason or… Read more · 1
another and the company is fantastic and sent them out for free in two to three days no questions asked. There is also great after hours support for setting up and getting information (sometimes Sunday is very busy)
What I have discovered that Netflix and other apps/streams can be impossible or hard to set up on these TVs but everyone hold off buying for the moment. I spoke to HISENSE and they stated that new smart TVs with all these apps are coming (everywhere else in the world have them already we seem to get the discontinued gear). They are bringing out cheaper versions of the Smart TV (Samsung and Panasonic are around $600 for a small 32 inch). I still love my big tv I bought for only $1600 and will buy a Chrome box for Netflix. I love Netflix because I only have ADL were I am so streaming is slow and Presto and Stan do not work well at all. So before buying a TV contact Hisense and find out when the new releases are coming and save some money..
Going back to my 55" Samsung smart tv! – The functions on the tv are atrocious! The media function is something out of the dark ages, and the tv just loads whatever it wants from your hard drive and nothing over 500 items and not in alphabetical order????? And that's just one problem. You definitely get what you pay for.
Hisense just sucks – If you're considering buying a TV don't consider any Hisense TVs. This model and every other Hisense model are manufactured to the worst quality including the Android software. You'll hate it after 3 months of purchasing. If you want to buy a TV that doesn't irritate you buy a Sony or LG TV.
Great Picture poor Apps and no support – Hisense do make a great TV with a great picture but the apps and the start up time is upto 30 seconds. Functions are slow and there is no one button to change between modes. The voice control was excellent but no longer works and Hisense seem fit to blame google for the issue but the TV and remote were made for this function. Hissense refuse to… Read more
fix or compensate for the issue. Until Hisense fix the slow start up and remote functions that are clearly behind the time i would suggest not to buy.
After much debate Hisense finally came to the party and helped but the TV still did not work but hey gave a refund.
Digital audio to amplifier pathetic – Just bought 65 inch. Connected to amplifier using digital audio. Big Delay in audio Contacted Hisense and they sent USB with software upgrade. A bit better but not acceptable. X box also not performing as it did with Samsung rear projector HD TV. Next step. Send back Hisense tv and outlaying more coin for a Samsung TV
TV With an Identity Crisis – Great size TV with awesome picture quality, that will hopefully perform better with firmware updates in the future. “Hopefully” Frustrated user experience: 1. Ridiculously long slow boot-up time almost a full minute; 2. Boots with popup info taking a further 20 seconds before volume can be turned down etc; 3. Annoying pop-up menus… Read more
continuously appear whilst watching TV relating to the PVR and Channel Info etc;
4. All menus and option pop-ups take up most of the screen and are not movable or transparent at all;
5. Video Input selection (i.e. you want to change between TV or HDMI inputs) is buried under layers of slow NON-Scrolling menu options;
6. The WiFi air mouse type remote is slow and requires a bit of tedious adjustment before it is half useful;
7. Not usable with WiFi usb type mouse, although keyboards work great;
8. Even slower when boot-up with an external USB Drive attached, and they MUST be FAT32 only….. C’mon Hisense !
9. Picture OOTB (Out of the Box) is crap until you adjust options including disabling ‘Dynamic Contrast’ etc, then it is most awesome, as is the 3D once tweaked and setup;
10. Only comes with 1x set of #D Glasses…. Sob sob
Advantages:
The google chrome is useful, and a huge improvement on normal Android Browser formats, as is the pre-installed YouTube app. Having the Google Play Store is awesome, but be mindful of limited on board memory space. Plex once installed works seamlessly. Nice
For the average home user that just wants to plug in their 3D TV and watch it, without struggling through set-up menu’s and researching features and settings…… This is NOT for you….. Appears Hisense has got lost under layers of Android with nowhere near the RAM it needs to support all of it’s features. The 65K680UAD and it’s menus have completely lost it’s “TV Feel” and focus….. making it more a monitor plugged into an awkwardly slow and clumsy Android IP TV box of some sort. Honestly wish I’d purchased the Samsung or LG equivalent….. Snapperhead Reviews.
