Dont bother with this model, it's problematic and has no firmware updates from Hisense, spend your money on a good samsung smart tv, you wont regret it.

My 55K3110PW has been in storage for 9 months. Plugged it in, turned it on, no issues. Changed channel and the sound disappeared. tried to turn it up and all I get is the sound bar showing and the volume indicator flicking between 1 and 2.

freezing on youtube

Cogs06
Cogs06

It is an inherent problem with the television. You will also find you can't fast forward or rewind and get it to pick up again from there. If you try to watch YouTube or other video through the internet browser it is no better.

Hisense customer support were great at blaming everything but their dodgey product.

They got me to reset my TV to factory and then other settings.

They blamed it on my WiFi connection even after I told them it was Ethernet cable connected. Then they blamed my ISP, my modem and even my TV aerial.(?)

Hisense eventually changed the motherboard and WiFi card and it made no difference.

Then they still blamed my ISP even when two tablets, two mobile phones and a laptop still work fine. Their answer to that was that whichever device connected to the internet first got the best signal and the other one struggled. I said that often the TV would already be connected to the internet when the other device connects so their answer was that the second device must be closer to the modem. What utter rubbish especially when the TV is connected by Ethernet cable.

They asked had I rebooted my modem and I said yes as I do that regularly. They asked how and I said by turning it off waiting a few minutes then back on. They said that is not correct, you gave to push the reset button with a pin as that is the correct way to do it. Me not knowing any better did this and wiped all of my ISPs settings so I had no internet until I got my ISP to help me reconfigure the modem.

Their repair contractors are as dodgey and lie and blame everything else just as much. He even said that the NBN connection was highly likely the problem. When I told him that none of the other devices has issues his answer to that was that whichever device connected to the internet first got the best signal and the other one struggled. I said that often the TV would already be connected to the internet when the other device connects so their answer was that the second device must be closer to the modem. Heard that from Hisense. Must be part of their training course. How stupid did he think I am when he just disconnected and then reconnected the TV by Ethernet cable?

I set up my laptop and the TV to watch the same YouTube channel at the same time and every time without fail the TV would stall.

Hisense again blamed my modem, my ISP and even NBN for the problem. Sounds like the repair man doesn't it.

It took seven months to finally get to having the repair done and then a refund.

In Australia there are laws that if a product has a major fault that the consumer has the right to choose a replacement, a repair or a refund. The repair didn't work so I went for a refund. Check your State's Department of Fair Trading web site and the ACCC web site. The retailer does not have a choice as mine tried to tell me they were not going to refund until Nosense gave them a refund first. Utter rubbish as my contract of sale is with them not Hisense. The law extends beyond warranty expiration also if it is for a part that has a service life that would under normal use be intended to last way beyond that time.

I bought a normal Hisense TV in 2015 and it is still going strong. The Smart or more like Dumb TV is a real bit of junk.

Hisense know it and will blame everyone and anything else to try and hide the fact.

My advice is go back to your retailer, tell them the issue and let them verify it and ask for a refund or a full credit toward another brand of TV.

I hope my experience will be of help and prevent you from going through the months of nonsense from Hisense.

I have 2 of these televisions and one has decided to put it's volume down without the use of the remote. It will just go down by itself and after I reset it with the remote it may last 10 to 12 minutes sometimes and down to zero again. I have been into the setup menu and put everything back to factory default. I have also change both the remote and the remote batteries. Any help?

Thanks

Chris R

Cognicom
Cognicom

It's quite possible that the remote has a stuck key (or dirt on the underlying contact). You can see if there's anything being sent from the remote by using your mobile 'phone camera (it can see infra-red) to view the front window of the remote control. Alternatively, remove the batteries from the remote and see if the TV still reduces its volume after 10-12 minutes - if it keeps operating normally, you'll know that it's the remote control that's the problem; if it does the same thing again, it's likely the remote receiver in the TV.

Another possibility is that (seeing as you have two of the same TV) someone else in your household is playing a trick on you using the second remote?

Just using the TV how do i program a program to come on the TV when the time has arrived? I have used reminder although if i am not watching it will disappear. I dont want to record anything. I have a smart 55 inch. tks

Cognicom
Cognicom

There's no way to do this in the way that you want, unfortunately - you can either use the reminder (which'll just be a splash notification on the screen) or set it to record a programme. You can work around the problem by simply having a "scrap" flash drive plugged into the USB port and instruct the TV to record the programme you want - then just delete the recording after it's done.

Thank you. Tv is not that smart then. My old TV had that feature. Bit annoying.

I plugged in my 1 TB HDD and it doesn't pick it up..flash drives work fine tho.. is there not enough power going into the usb ports ? Or do I have the wrong format

Cognicom
Cognicom

The USB port on the TV is rated to supply 500mA MAXIMUM, with a more conservative estimate being around 300mA. Either use a full-size external HDD (one which has its own power supply), or use a powered USB hub to go between the TV and your drive.

hi I have a 55K3110PW does anyone have a issue with the writing being blurry?

Cognicom
Cognicom

Are you talking about the writing from the TV's internal menus, or writing whilst watching TV shows? If it's the former, you have a problem with your TV and need to get it serviced. If it's the latter, it may be that that particular station's only broadcasting in SD (standard definition).

Is there any manual buttons for my hisense tv i cant find my remote?

eileen haydon

All i know is the on&off button right side front of tv.o always contact them if need to know more

Cognicom
Cognicom

On the back of the left corner of the TV, there's a "joypad" control - use up/down to change channels and left/right to adjust volume; in the centre is an "OK" button which doubles as a "menu" button. Consult page 3 of your manual (or download it from here if you can't find it: external link

Abdull

Is it easy to be wall mounted?

Cognicom
Cognicom

Just get a suitably-rated VESA bracket and make sure you affix it properly to the wall (screw into studs; don't trust plasterboard anchors to do the job on their own). The TV weighs 15Kg without its tabletop stand, so I'd suggest going for a bracket designed to handle at least 20Kg. VESA mount spacing is 200mm x 200mm.

There's no shortage of brackets available through eBay, but you might prefer to get one from a retail shop. I've found the bracket prices at The Good Guys and JB HiFi aren't that much more painful price-wise than buying online, and you have the advantage of being able to examine it properly before purchase. If you can afford to wait, Aldi sell good quality VESA wall brackets at very good prices at least twice a year.
