Since the day I bought it I regret it. Can't cast ANYTHING. No streaming works on this rubbish. Can't factory reset, can't get rid of catched data so YouTube stops working. Bad picture and sound quality. So bad I had to buy Google Chrome and even that keeps disconnecting to this cr^p tv. I find Hisense as a whole is rubbish brand. Show details
Terrible – Absolute junk. brought this model TV a while ago the moment we set it up we had problems. It would freeze and have to be reset. Via factory settings. The picture started rolling and went black but the sound was still there I brought a new tv. And it gave me great satisfaction throwing the Hisense over my top floor balcony. You people need to rename your company Nosence. Because your products are absolute trash Show details
WORST TV (HISENSE) I'VE EVER OWNED – Purchased my 65" Hisense ULED television late in 2019. 65" R7 4K UHD SMART ULED TV Frequently loses channels in the "7" range, requiring a new scan. I can press one button and another function appears or the television does its "own thing". Connects poorly to my amp/receiver's ARC. Won't connect to Youtube.

I’m about to get money back – So I bought my original tv back in October 2019, and for first few weeks, I realised something, but wasn’t sure what was. After a while I called CS, and they said to turn off local dimming... turn off a feature basically. So I do that to try and fix the issue, and still does the issue - this issue is half a side flashes black all the time. After… Read more
that, I called again, and said let’s do a full reset though some back menus need to type some codes, after this, still happened, I called and a tech was booked. This is January now. The tech comes, and of course issue doesn’t happen when here, but I recorded everything, and had pictures etc. they called a few days later and said Hisense says it’s the panel. We’re going to replace whole TV. But they now can’t replace because no stock, so they refunded Harvey Norman, and HN sorted a replacement TV. End of Jan, all sorted. Mid March.... things start going weird again... happened one in April, and May haven’t had the tv used. Anyway, today 7/7 all the same issues are here again.... exactly the same issues. This doesn’t seem to be a once off. Tomorrow I’ll be calling CS and will be getting a refund to purchase a different brand for sure. I’ve tried all things, and different power supply’s as they said was my $1000 UPS Backup, and then blamed Power in my area. Fluke Multimeter reads a constant and no fluctuations in Volts. Clean, even power. This is a failed unit, and it comes down to the 200mhz motion rate. They haven’t built a unit to support it, and that’s why no TV in 2020 range supports it. Avoid this unit
constant glitch – screen flashes every half hour or so picture goes black at times but only half of screen orange blotchy panel colors all washed 4k can look good though except whites on dark background creates light banding down tv Show details

Worst experience ever – 3 day old R7 lost back lights on one side of the screen, picture started to really degrade after that, pink pixel smears would show up as well as other screen issues like backlights illuminating parts of the bottom of the screen at all times. Hisense would not replace my tv, they sent a technician out to fix it instead! He said parts would take a… Read more
while, so I insisted on a replacement as the tv was under a week old when it happened. Hisense again said no they will not replace the tv and I’d have to wait for the parts and have it fixed.
Worst service team ever, I would be very careful with this company if purchasing a “main room” TV.
Edit: warning: Samsung atmos soundbars(I have a samsungQ90r and a Q70r soundbar do not work with this TV when trying to play atmos content, even though they state they are Dolby vision and Dolby atmos enabled. Hisense have known about the issue since release, near a year and they still don’t have a firmware update to fix this issue

Nonsense product – After a week of purchasing sounds and pictures went out of sync. Called Hisense and updated. After a week loading USB started to taking longer and one day it stopped loading it, but the USB worked with a laptop. Sound delay (out of sync with pictures) started to happen more frequently, when watching TV, recordings, YouTube and during… Read more
recording. The easiest way to fix it was changing channels. When it happens during recording I cannot stop it to keep the recording as one file which is very frustrating.
The TV has a function called store mode that shows features of the TV with several high definition images for shop display purposes and it can be disabled at settings. However, when it is off it still shows the Images. Somehow the switch keeps going back on itself. Every time turning the TV on, has to go settings and turn it off.
Around the same time, its remote control starting not working properly so the batteries were replaced. It was actually the TV that was freezing. It became more and more frequent later.
The next problem was the screen. Bottom half did not work and after switched off went normal. Other time was the screen became all pinkish. Again, it was fixed once switched off.
A white dot started to appear.
Often recorded programs have names that are not matching with what it is recorded.
Emailed Hisense to request for a refund, but they replied that it needed to be assessed and asked me to call Hisense CS for the arrangement. Called Hisense and was given a number for the assessment. The representative hung up sharply without greeting.
Contacted the technician and he said Hisense organised a replacement not an assessment.
The TV has so many problems, the Hisense call centre had high volume of calls all the time and the representative have such beautiful manners. If their solution was replacement, they could organise it when I requested for a refund. Instead make customers do their jobs with an attitude and replacing products without consent.
I saw other people got offered a refund due to discontinue of this series, it is no wonder there is no signs of replacement so far.
The qualities of Hisense including customer services are below standard. I recommend people to choose other brand.
Hisense 65r7 – I read negative reviews and cant quite understand..my 4k experience is awesome but forget that as there is little content so lets start with free to air picture quality..my antennae is fine the tuner accurate and picture more than satisfactory even with factory default settings..next feeding a source in via HDMI..well I play burnt 740p dvd and the… Read more

Excellent value – Extremely easy to set-up install. Easy to use. Picture quality is outstanding. Sound quality is great. Remote control is excellent and easy to use. $400, or this one for $695. I had a look at both, and decided that the Hisense seemed better. Even though it was more expensive it was a big step-up from my old TCL that I brought 10 years ago, for $500.
When I got it home and plugged it in I was amazed at the clarity of the TV. However, it looked clear but something appeared not quite right. After some research I realised I was watching the "soap-opera effect' which is where the TV automatically doubles the frame rate sharpening the fore-ground and blurring the background. My only real gripe is that this Picture Mode Setting (Ultra Smooth Motion) should have defaulted to 'Off' when the TV was initially set-up.
Other than this, my first experience with 4K has been great, and I look forward to many years of quality viewing. Actually looking at upgrading my Netflix subscription to HD streaming. This TV is all-round great value for money.

Great for PC gaming, Netflix and 4K HDR movies – Using lower latency game mode, this 100Hz TV (200 smooth motion rate) looks stunning for PC racing games running 4K60Hz HDR10 input from my Win10 PC. to Logitech Z906 5.1 surround speakers. Very happy, although I am using in it best environment (4k content) I cannot speak for how it handles free to air TV and the upscaling of lower res content which may not be up to standard of premium TVs which is understandable - I understand these sorts of features as I also have a $8k OLED 77" in the house.
Great tv,image quality ,sound awesome – Hisense r7 led tv , 4 HDMI ports , 200 smooth motion rate, nice ,good tv, good brightness , picture quality superb especially with 4k streaming programmes which were not that many on tv channels must admit .would definately recommend this tv . Great also for watching sports programmes because of the great smooth motion 200 rate too. Show details

One of the only big screens to have Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos built in! – There were two things that stuck out immediately when I bought and started using this tv. 1) The sound, both in built and external ARC/Optical connection. This is the first tv I have come across that actually has Dolby Atmos built into it and it even has selectable Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1/7.1 signals through to your amp if you do… Read more · 1
not have an Atmos capable receiver amp! 2) Dolby Vision is great! You can definitely see the difference, with 4k viewing and HLG included, plus a bright screen, it rivals with some of the best!
It has a very quick and easy to access menu and apps load quickly, thanks to the updated VIDAA 3.0 operating system.
Looks wise, it is more modern looking than most and of course cannot beat the price for what you get, because there are not many other 85" 4k TVs with Dolby Vision and Atmos built in for under $3.5k!
Worst TV picture ive ever had – This television has the worst backlight i have ever seen, instead of lighting up the text in the credits by pixel it lights up the whole sentence being a massive center white stripe from the top of the screen to bottom, even if its just 3 words!. The 65 N7 lit up each individual pixel. In low light motion blur is shocking even after turning off… Read more
all the correction settings. You will find it very difficult to get a good image in dark scenes. I cannot wait for it to fail to get rid of it.
Great value – Top TV, great picture, great user friendly remote, great price, easy to set up and operate, Dolby Atmos and the addition of a 3 year warranty make this TV great value and a hands down winner when compared to many of the other so called “top brands” that will cost much more than this unit, it also has a better, more natural picture and 3 times the warranty of most. Thank you. Show details
Its not terrible but the experience isnt great – I bought the TV in May from the Goodguys and although the picture quality wasnt exactly as i had hoped it wasnt bad. oversaturated depending on what you are watching and I have found it almost impossible to find a setting calibration to make the picture look normal. Event watching a fully Dolby Vision movie will either be way too dark or a strange brown tint depending on which picture setting you choose. i have tried to call Hisense about 10 times now and every time i wait on the line and then the hold music stops after about 8 minutes and nothing happens. No one talks but the phone is still connected. i have tried this multiple times and cannot get in contact with anyone... i am now regretting not buying a Samsung...
Hi five for the Hisense – Happy Hisense purchase. This screen has all that I want. The ease to set it up and connect to Foxtel and internet was brilliant. The remote is especially easy to use with Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube being easy to access, plus a 3 year warranty Show details · 1
Actually Amazed – When I walked into JB, I asked them what the difference was between this and FF he Samsung 50”. He told me “Hisense has a better refresh rate and software,, among the things you already know. And it’s a commonly used panel for more expensive brands.” The picture quality was so impressive, making UHD nearly appear 3D. With a bit of tweaking, we… Read more · 1
figured out that Dolby Atmos setting has to be turned off unless the show or movie is made with Atmos.
Also, and not sure if this is an aerial or unit issue, but even with all settings in default there is a bit of a sound lag compared to picture.
But I’m actually amazed by this set
TV in the time of cholera – I purchased a 75 inch Hisense Series 7 TV that was problematic right out of the box. The customer service response to this was poor and placed all the… Read more
impositions on my time.... call the helpline and 'try this and that' etc. Finally a technician will come but 'make sure you dismount it before technician arrival' etc etc - I read this as 'please make your time available to limit the imposition on time and cost for us'. I had sent a video to Hisense customer support showing evidence of the flickering problems, but when the technician arrived he obviously had not been provided with it. He took one look at the pre-recorded video and said 'oh you need [tv part], I'll order one in and it will take a few weeks. Awesome. Second visit and [tv part] installed. Flickering problem still ongoing. I've reported the ongoing issue to Hisense and wondering if they will recommend yet another visit from the tech? Three times inviting a stranger into my home during a covid pandemic... I wonder if common sense will prevail? Probably not..... Avoid this company. Pay the money for a Samsung or LG, I'm kicking myself now.

The most frustrating Tv ever purchased – From Day one we had issues. Wasnt up to date when it arrived, had to get update sent out. Lip syncing is constantly out and needs readjusting. What did play before we now get a 'file not supported message' for. Now TV will not turn on at all, just red standby light. Side note - Im a disabled Vet, my wifes just home from surgery and we have a 6yr old. Now our 5mth old TV stops working on a Saturday morning as flood waters are still subsiding around us....that really is a great start to the weekend.

Should have known for the price – Firstly, we knew this when we bought it and didnt think we needed it but yes we need google play, and android tv. Impressive Picture Quality – Picture quality is excellent for the price, whilst sound is good. The included stand is good and looks premium. There is a pixel glitch approx every 30 mins. The screen goes fuzzy for approx 1/4 of a second then goes back to normal. Not a big deal.

Ultra HD 4K TV but picture output so poor! – I bought this TV today and as soon as I turned it on “ there is a plastic film on tv screen “ that was my initial reaction! Because picture was not sharp and not bright I thought may be there is plastic film on the tv screen but it was not . I changed the setting and it was almost same result! Show details
This TV definitely punches above it's weight! – No longer is the quest to have a decent TV down to 2 or 3 'big' brands... Only an 8 bit Colour bit nowadays – Well the older 50N7 & 50P7 were very good tvs. They had10 bit colour depths which made viewing terrific. The 50R7 is a good tv and I have rated it 3/5. However, the R7 only has 8 bit +FRC colour depth. Hisense may tell you there is no difference, but there is. Especially on full panoramic shots ... will get pond like ripples around the sun). Basically many panaramics shots aren't great. Its due to Hisense now using the 8 bit + FRC where they use to use 10 bit a year and a half ago on the same type of tele. My 50N7 failed and Hisense replaced it with a 50R7. The speakers have been improved and I don't use the Smart Options as rural Australia does have NBN luxuries. The 50R7 is just not in the top class of viewing tvs anymore, but the 50N7 was. :(

Movie playback not smooth and would not consider it 4K picture quality – So after being a devoted Samsung customer for many years and due for a TV upgrade I thought I would try another brand (Hisence). TV, I find while watching YouTube, DVDs, and movies from my home theater PC there is a significant amount of judder and refresh rate stutter @ 1080p and 4K as well as some random video tearing across the bottom of the screen at times. I have played with all the built in settings but it really makes little difference at all, and just to test my theory I hooked the same media components to my older Samsung 50" 4k TV and there were no issues what so ever. I now feel like I have lost a large chunk of money and will more than likely have to shop for a new TV again..... very very disappointed. Will be looking for a refund under consumer law

different qualities of video. The one that played the best picture over all qualities was the Hisense R7. I've only had it for 3 days, but so far am very happy with it. It has 4 x HDMI and two USB slots. TV remote is nice and overall TV functions are easy to use. Picture is really good for UHD and as I said it plays lower resolution stuff much better than other more expensive TV's. Can't comment on sound quality as I always use soundbars.
If you don't watch the majority of your shows on at least 1080p, I would avoid the QLED TV's and go with one like this. Great value for money. I ended up being able to afford a new soundbar as well because of the price. Was a little hesitant going with a lesser known brand and only time well tell if the TV holds up. But for now I couldn't be happier with my choice.

spotify (apparently these and others are coming). It is also works with Alexa and google assistant for the techno savvy. It has 4 HDMI inputs and overall, it has a great picture and sound. Aquaman on bluray was awesome and netflix in 4k all look great. The price has recently dropped making it an even better buy, highly recommend it. ***Update**** 5 months in and the TV won't boot past the initial turn on screen with Hisense displayed and the red start light keeps flashing. Rang Hisense and went through the usual try this and that and now have to wait until their technician calls within 24 -48 business hours and then will possibly tell me what I already know - it won't boot up and I have no tv. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for it to be fixed and hopefully it will stay fixed. Disappointing for a 5 month old tv. ***update again*** TV was fixed within a week. New power board fitted (in home service) and I am now happy again. Hopefully there are no more issues.
