Have used it for the last 5 years. Being good and affordable except the visual cansometimes freeze, which needs to be reset by switching off the power. Show details
Didn't last the distance – Within two years of ownership a thin line appeared on the screen. I mounted the TV on a wall 9 months ago and now the TV does not respond to the hand unit i.e.: i cannot swap between live TV and the home page, I cannot scroll through the live TV channels, I cannot alternate between the streaming options without having to reset the TV. I have a sound bar - without a sound bar, the sound quality is poor. Show details
TV was good until it wasnt – My TV was fine until it wasnt. After 3 1/2 years of HD action my TV suffered from the black screen of death. It would turn on and thats as far as it would go. Disappointed that my set lasted just outside of the warranty period. Amazingly happy with the responses from Hisense. Understand their phone lines are busy, but they do have the option of… Read more
a call back and after choosing that option, they never failed once to return a call and later never failed to return an email. - Kudos to you Hisense for your professional manner in which you handled this issue.
Phone tech support tried all they could to get the TV working External service centre received videos from me showing what the TV wasnt doing. Decision was made to replace my TV with a new 65" model
Maybe the TV didnt quite hit the ***** star rating but their service did.
Another reason to support their products
Not reliable – The tv had great picture quality and colour palette unfortunately it lasted only 14 months. The warranty process took 3 weeks to process. Show details
Worst purchase I have ever made – TV has never worked properly. Glitchy menus, 10 sec delayed remote inputs, turning off/on whenever it wants, settings resetting for no reason... Every time i call customer service, all they do is tell me to reset it. I eventually demanded a replacement and all they did was replace a part. Problems again persisted at the beginning of every use… Read more
after a factory reset. We have avoided the living room for almost 3 years now because of this and there is still no resolution. Have just threatened legal action with the ombudsmen if they don't replace it with something that works... Regardless, I'll never ever in a million years own another Hisense product. The hardware is garbage and the warranty is worthless. I hope they go bankrupt.
Problems with voice over and tv constantly talking – Has anyone had a problem with this and know a solution? Our tv is constantly talking through everything, adjusting channel, adjusting volume every single step of the process and it’s driving us bonkers. Google says to find accessibility on the remote and go from there to adjust the audio but the remote and menu on this tv doesn’t have an “accessibility” option. Can anyone help? Thanks
Worst TV ever – Since we bought the TV in August 2019 from JB HIFI, the HDMI ports didn't work properly, the colour was washed out and the picture quality was poor. I went to the technical support who asked me to take pictures of the screen in the setup mode which I did, but this was not addressing the issue of the HDMI ports as the setup mode is for the basic TV… Read more
colours. After spending about 1 hour taking photos and attaching them to the tech support ticket, we waited a few weeks to have a response there is nothing wrong with the TV. At this point I contacted the support and asked them did they look at the comparison between the free to air (non HDMI port) pictures and the ones taken from the HDMI input where red was orange colour see attached pictures, they commented the picture was fine, to this I was annoyed with the staff and they agreed to replace the TV. We received the replacement TV about 3 months later and it was no better. Its now 2022 we have bought a Samsung TV and the picture is 100 times better in quality and colour. Also when I was asked to take photos of the TV screen I also took pictures of our old 32 inch tv as well comparing the colour and it was much better than the new Hisense tv. Also the TV turns itself on in the middle of the night (told by consultant it was probably a bug) the buttons are not that sensitive. Will never buy another Hisense.
Not Compatible With Foxtel IQ4 / IQ5 UHD Content – Since purchasing the 65A7G model TV I have discovered it is not compatible with Foxtel IQ4 / IQ5 set top box UHD channels and content on account of perennially unresolved software issues, this is despite the fact Foxtel technical specifications indicate compatibility with all Hisense UHD TVs from 2016 onwards. Further research has revealed this… Read more
issue impacts multiple Hisense TV models and has apparently been known to the organisation for some time now. I have requested assistance from Hisense in relation to this matter but not been afforded acknowledgement or a response.
I would be inclined to considering an alternative brand if you are wanting to access Foxtel UHD content.
Worst TV ever – Don't be fooled by the features most of them either don't work or take minutes to function, even the volume is slow to respond sometimes taking 30 seconds. The audio out does not work, it is super glitchy in all aspects. Note how Hisense have only responded to positive feedback. Terrible TV, terrible service and terrible company save your money and frustration. Show details
Very Very slow & glitchy. Avoid – Had this TV for a few years now. It seems to have gotten worse. Not sure if this is because a handful of additional apps we have added. But it is now painfully slow. Also some apps just don't work on this unit - Apple TV being a case in point. I keep checking for OS upgrades but none to be had. Sorry I bought this TV. Next one will not be a Hisense!
Bad quality – Have coloured lines across screen and nothing else no help from service department or Hisense or good guys will not buy your product again if this is not rectified bad customer service Show details
This is pathetic – My TV has been nothing but trouble from the get-go. Constantly playing up, coloured lines always at the top of screen volume play up and it doesn't work on Chromecast very well with the Foxtel app takes all night to cast Never recommend Show details
Very poor TV – I have had this set for approximately 12 months. It was a replacement for a 55" I purchased mid 2019. So having two sets go in the space of 18 months sounds like poor quality control. It took a while to get a repairman out to replace what they thought would be the motherboard and the "T" board only to find out that it is the actual panel that is… Read more
at fault. Processing my 3rd TV seems to be taking forever. Would I purchase Hisense again? NO I would not. The company boast, High quality, low price and superior standards of service. one out of three is not good enough.

No complaints, great tv – Have owned my hisense 55 RG since Sept 2019. Set it up on my own and it was super easy - done in 15 minutes including gently attaching legs to the tv on my own. Crashes probably only once every 6 months and it just turns itself back on and no issue. Colour and picture are great, sound is awesome and haven't needed a sound bar. I issues with the… Read more
apps crashing are the apps themselves, which isn't the fault of the tv. Only issue was that inbuilt chromecast didn't seem to work from pretty early on but haven't really needed it so doesn't feel like a big deal. I could run a refresh on it but haven't needed chrome.
Worse tv i have owned!!! – I have owned the hisense 65rg for just under a year now. It has to be the worse tv i have ever owned. The pixels flicker, tv cracks extremely loud and quite often due to the heat it produces. Netflix app causes the tv to not respond after a little while and just completely bugs out the sound and frame rate, the wifi always forgets the internet and… Read more
you have to reconnect it manually almost every time you turn it on.
Been such a problematic experience, definitely would look elsewhere for a tv brand.
Worse TV ever – I bought this TV from Good guys, Darwin. Approximately within 6months, the TV's screen turned black. Changing remote control battery every month. Lodged a case with Good guys Darwin 5 weeks back and no solution yet. Tried calling Hisense 2-3 times every week for the past 5 weeks, but in the queue for 30mins and call ends automatically. now, the tv… Read more
starts automatically. Called Good guys Darwin and the sales person was reluctant to do anything about it.
absolute junk – The software is glitchy and requires constant restarts. The picture quality is awful, sound output is also bad, remote is terrible (i replaced it twice and still had problems). The TV guide is vague at best, and rarely populates. The PVR feature slows the system down terribly. Several android apps freeze and requires a reboot to function. I put… Read more
up with this completely useless tv for 3 months before changing back to my 2012 55" LG LCD. Not impressed Hisense, I should have known, you get what you pay for.
Worst TV I have ever had – Breaks down every few weeks, I’ve had every problem several times, lines all over the screen, apps not working, channels not changing, pc boards failing. It’s just a horrible product! Show details
Hisense 65RG 2nd review – Hisense Now after having the 65RG TV for some time now I can not find a user manual anywhere for it , not even on the Hisense website USB connection is painfully awful , have to eject the USB each time I want to use one . When and if it connects the USB doesn't appear in the "Input" screen. Chrome cast takes so much time to get to work i give up. GIVE ME A USER MANUAL Show details
Great TV but started to warp – Only 7 months in and the screen has started to warp, I've been very happy with the TV up until then. I'll update as I go through the warranty process! Show details
Blurry screen – We have had a problem with blurry patches through the middle of the tv picture whilst watching DVDs and Netflix. I have contacted Hisense, they walked me through a reset, but the issue is still occurring. I will contact them again and keep you posted. Show details
Very good for the price – Bought this to replace 2011 LG 3D 42"" TV. Wasn't expecting much as long as it has Android on it. No review as this is a new 2019 series. Design has very thin bezel which I love. Shiny chrome leg which is not reversible so I have to find a wider shelve. Image quality is good to excellent. The least to say, it perform equally or better than my old… Read more · 1
LG tv. Fast motion is not an issue. Don't believe it has 4K up scaling so non 4K image don't look great such as free to air tv. Image on 4K content or Youtube HD content is excellent. With minor setting configuration, the image is pleasant. The white can sometime be too bright (overexposed in certain cases) that I have to turn down the brightness to around 28 - 35. Viewing angle is great with the exception some over exposed whites.
PVR function disappointing. Can only record one and cannot watch at the same time. Single tuner.
Audio is excellent too after changing the settings.
Google voice worked well.
3 years warranty is assuring but we just have to wait if that will be in use. The old LG is 8 years old and still running :-)
Android is fast, remote is small and wishing it has the numeric button. I can't really find major issue yet but only had it for 2 days.
So far very happy with HiSense product. My first try with this brand.
Love this android tv – Get this tv after return a tcl android tv 75 p8m because it’s faulty. This android tv run very fast. Turn on in 1 seconds. Good design. Better than tcl tv a lot. Recommended for everyone Show details
Great Android TV – We had an older non SMART TV connected to an older Apple TV, which lacked most of the freeview apps so decided it was time to update. After a lot of research we decided to go with the Hisense Android based on previous experience with Hisense TV (although not Android), price & the amount of apps available with android. The TV was very easy to set… Read more
up, but having to download the majority of apps was time consuming & non availability of Foxtel Now & Nine Now was disappointing. The android interface has taken a bit of getting use to.
The remote seems basic with less buttons than I'm use to other controls & has taken some getting use to, but is easy to use.
The real highlight is the picture quality, which I think is probably better than our 70" Hisense TV that we've had for nearly 3 years. The built in chromcast is also really good, but due to there only being a quick set up guide required some internet research to understand how to connect & use.
This would have been a 5 star rating if not for the missing apps & lack of detailed set up instructions
