Had lot of issues poor support – Has so many issues with this tv, running latest updates and has already had parts replaced by Hisense and still having similar issues. Randomly freezes and shuts off, remote becomes unresponsive also. Over 2 years old and honestly can't wait to get it replaced once I've had enough. When it works works great just too many intermittent issues for a TV Show details

It is not a good Tv – The Tv was playing up with apps and it is not happened before. I think there needs to be some improvement when they make the Tv. They need to add Apple TV to the apps Show details

WORST TV EVER – Was working fine for about 6 months then started with problems , Error codes while watching Foxtel and Netflix APP's and volume keeps going down , Sometimes have to have it at 90 just to hear the sound , Spoke to customer service and they keep saying if they cant find a fault then I will get charged for it , I keep telling them that when it… Read more

happens I do a factory rest and that last for a few weeks until it comes back so they could send a tech out after I do a rest just to watch tv and I would get charged because they wont or cant find a fault. Wont buy hisense again warranty not worth the paper its written on.

Very Impressed – We this TV now for 3 weeks and very happy with the purchase. And have a 43" S5 as well but it is slower...Youtube. So the 8S is far quicker for a few $ more.....and the 3 year warranty....See how that goes, if we have any problems. So far so good Hisense. Our 2 Samsung smart, are also working well, 65 "and a 55" but earlier Models so they are slower. Show details

Good TV with a problem – I am very pleased with the appearance of the TV the price and the controls. I do quite a lot of streaming but do have limited data and I found having the TV linked to data was eating away at my monthly allowance.  Show details

Best medium sized TV I ever had – Traditionally I have been sticking with Sony TVs for the last 15 years or so. Sadly they let me down not once, but twice. Samsung was a bit too expensive for our liking and after reading overwhelmingly good reviews about Hisense 50S8 on the internet we decided to replace our Sony 55" TV with Hisense 50S8. The TV destined for one of the bedrooms… Read more

and 50" seem like a perfect size to have it hanging on the wall. Please refer to the video attached for unpacking and setting it up. But, in simple words everything that we experienced so far with this TV was very positive. Starting with unboxing. Hisense put a lot of thought together how to pack TV well, avoid excessive packaging and minimise possible damage during transportation. Everything was well secure, nothing in the box was lost and the whole unpacking experience was overwhelmingly positive. In the box we found a remote, manual, cables and set of batteries in the zip bag securely attached to the inside of the TV box. The TV was firmly affixed in foam molds and wrapped well. It was easy to unpack everything. The TV is relatively light and I didn't need a second person to assist me with unpacking. Visually all input and output ports are positioned well and are enough of them too. TV has 2x USB ports and 4xHDMI ports as well as usual audio in and optical audio out as well as TV antenna port. We did not use legs provided with TV, but there are two stands/legs provided with TV that are clearly marked left and right. On top of that you can't incorrectly install them as they have different shapes that makes installation easy even if you missed L and R markings. After hanging the TV on the wall mount (which was a straightforward process too) we flipped the power socket switch on and the TV greeted us with a set up. The startup was quick and there were no surprises. Set up guided us through usual things like region, state, city, WiFi network, channel search as well as let us skip things that we did not want to configure straight away like Amazon Video, YouTube and Plex. I think we finished the basic set up within 5 minutes. What we didn't like about TV so far - NOTHING!!!! The TV is amazing What we like about TV so far: 1. Amazing screen. Colours, Contrast, Sharpness 2. Fast functions. Switches between modes in no time. 3. Main used functions are on remote. E.g. Amazon, YouTube and Netflix 4. Preinstalled a lot of apps that we already use and used to cast to TV. Hence, no need to cast, we can start them up directly on TV. E.g. ABC Kids, SBS, Plex and so on. 5. Really easy and intuitive to configure without even reading the manual. Yes, I think we'll read it one day ;-) 6. The price, oh my goodness... You will get a lot of good TV for a sub $900 price tag. If you are in the market for a 50" TV I'd not hesitate to recommend you to consider this TV. Unlikely you'll get disappointed.
