happy with mine. I paid $1350 from the Good Guys Sept 2021. 3 year’s warranty vs Sony’s 1 year plus the cost was the deciding factor for me. It came with two remotes. Very happy overall.

Not really smart – Purely as a TV it's good, although the sound isn't great, but I was excited about getting a smart tv, and this just doesn't live up to the name. If I had known that there were so few apps available I wouldn't have bought it. You can't even get something as basic as 7plus, and the built-in browser is no help either. It's so clunky it's unusable. The only other part that is quite good is playing eternal media via USB.

Great TV – Overall this system is pretty good, I like how you can add or remove apps from the main list. When using a HDD with movies on, the name of the movie cant be seen straight away you have to wait for it to come on, the option to see all movies as a list resets each time you open it back up. reasonably quickly. I purchased this TV because of the inbuilt speaker which unfortunately doesn't live up to the hype I recieved about the feature, the sound output is not great and when watching HDD movies even having the sound at 100 still isn't loud enough. When old movies are on the TV itself, the sound is low then when action comes on or music its very loud, background noise blocks out and dramatically comes back on. This is something to do with the TV sound and not an error of the system, however still annoying. I wouldn't purchase this TV over the $1000 cheaper TV If I was to go back as the extra speaker makes no difference! And that's why I paid for the better system..
Best bang for buck TV! – The TV picture is amazing and the built in soundbar is very impressive! Once I made some tweeks to the picture settings I find watching movies & sport very satisfying! OLED and QLED TV's. The remote button set up is ergonomic and easily navigated. The sound of the TV is also very good as I think it has a sound bar built in at the base. I have no problem with using any of the apps on it. Although I did connect a Chromecast to run Foxtel Go even though it does have the Foxtel app built in. I choose not to have it connected to Alexa as I feel it's not needed, but can see that would excite others. I have it wall mounted and the thin frame surrounding the TV makes it blend right in and looks fantastic. If I was to pick a negative it is when it is turned off and turned back on the next day it reverts back to channel 1. That is the only negative and it's a very minor one. I would reccommend this TV to anyone. Even if you can afford the "high end" TV's compare this Hisense Q8 with them. Not only can you buy 3 of these for the price of a top end LG or Samsung but you'll be pleasantly surprised that it is every bit as good.

I have enjoyed the S8 now for 2 years and needed a new TV for the living room. The Q8 in 65” version came on sale and I pulled the trigger. I’ll attach below my impressions after using it for a month, but here is a quick summary. The bad: Doesn’t keep memory of the TV channel last used after 24 hours - defaults to channel 1 upon turning on next day. Not all apps available on offer within the VIDAA operation system. It is not an Android TV (that is bad and good at the same time - depending on what you’re after). The good: Panel (video) quality is amazing for a budget TV. Sound is great for a budget TV. The VIDAA operation system isn’t perfect, but very responsive and does what it intends to do. The price is right - there is a lot of TV for the price they sell for. Warranty - 3 year warranty. I don’t want to go around the circles poking fun at TVs imperfections and glorifying what they did well, but would like to say following: The Q series is a big improvement on the S series. If you are not happy with the “smartness” of the TV, Google Chromecast TV, Apple TV or Amazon equivalent offer fixes all imperfections at the fraction of the premium TV price. Buy one, connect, configure and here you have a fully premium TV (well almost) at a fraction of the price. I would not hesitate to recommend this TV for those who are on relative budget looking for an alternative for Sony, LG and Samsung.

Rubbish... smart TV... not! – As the title says this TV is rubbish... I bought it to stream all my apps only to find out it doesn’t support Disney! Are you serious! The sound is also garbage and it’s really hard to distinguish voices when watching a movie. Don’t waste your money buy an LG or Sony. Show details

can't unsee it. Had the TV replaced and the new one has it too, maybe even worse. I bought the TV as an upgrade from my 42 inch I purchased 12 years ago. You buy a TV to enjoy but instead I find myself not wanting to watch it and go back to my older TV that's still going strong. Hopefully others will get lucky with a good panel.
Screen Dis colouration – Screen discolouration after 6 months of use. I have been using it mainly for gaming and the screen panel looks nasty and so dirty that if you see the discolouration, you cant unsee it. The TV is has been purchase over 6 months and it already have this issue. Show details

not available via HDMI input which would have solved the problem. Hisense have said there is nothing they can do so put up with it. Very disappointing as I spent nearly four grand buying two of these tv's - wish I hadn't. If you don't have Foxtel satellite it's a good tv but don't buy one if you do.
Hisense Q8 (PS5) – Not bad its 4k, bought for a PS5. No HDMI 2.1 but don't care. For PS5 guys this t.v. is fine for fast motion 4k gaming @30fps. JBL sound rocks, but I use a Home theater system. 5 star tv from an LG / Samsung fan – Ive owned the 65 q8 for over 5 months now and i cannot recommend it more. It has a built in JBL soundbar great OLED panel and excellent backlight. not to bad good picture but has faults – unlike my old 55-inch Hisense tv cant edit tv channels to know when I want channel 7 it says not available ie; when I took away all channels I didn't want non-HD channels, it would let me save HD channels as my numbers like 7, doesn't recognize it as 7 HD not 70 bad upgrades in this tv is needed. need to fix this first. volume with this tv is… Read more
terrible even with a soundbar now I have to go up to 70 on the soundbar but with the 55inch it was only 55 on the soundbar to be good to listen to. now the last thing is it says it 4k upscales I can't see that at all 4k upscale doesn't exist. not a bad tv but needs more done to compete with better TVs in the market. all in all its a good tv
