Product and Warranty not worth the disappointment – Initially the TV was good despite lacking a couple of features. However Hisense was great at the start with a couple of technical issues. As time went on and the same problems became more regular both Hisense and Good Guys support services were absent. We should have stuck with a tried and tested brand of LG and also only use Good Guys Fyshwick as… Read more
price comparison only. Very disappointed with product and the non existent follow up as per warranty conditions.
I like it – Besides the Apps being limited and the Tv usb facilities unable to play mkv files I would still recommend this TV. I bought a second hand Apple TV box to stream from my MacBook as it’s incompatible with my laptop. The picture quality is really good. The sound is more than adequate. It’s a really slim attractive TV with hardly any frame. I’m very… Read more
happy with mine. I paid $1350 from the Good Guys Sept 2021. 3 year’s warranty vs Sony’s 1 year plus the cost was the deciding factor for me. It came with two remotes. Very happy overall.
Owned for 7months now, picture and sound quality is what I expected from a TV that s doubled its price……. Can’t complain – Owned for 7months now, picture and sound quality is what I expected from a TV that s doubled its price……. Can’t complain Can not connect apple phone to it , I will need to buy Apple TV separately that’s the only downside. But for this price tag I wouldn’t mind . I paid $1500 for it while it is on end of financial year sale Show details
Not really smart – Purely as a TV it's good, although the sound isn't great, but I was excited about getting a smart tv, and this just doesn't live up to the name. If I had known that there were so few apps available I wouldn't have bought it. You can't even get something as basic as 7plus, and the built-in browser is no help either. It's so clunky it's unusable. The only other part that is quite good is playing eternal media via USB.

Really Good Tv best picture Quality – Really happy with My Hisense Q8 75" TV 5 stars pictures Quality. 5 stars sounds Quality. 5 stars material Quality. 3 stars software and Applications only because not android. 5 stars value for your money. Show details
Tv warped- told not under warranty – Tv has warped down the side and screen has pulled away. Told this is my fault and not covered by warranty. Wouldn’t recommend. Was happy before this, not now. Won’t purchase Hisense again. Show details
High Performing ULED 4K Digital TV – Having a tradition of replacing my Digital TV before every Olympics, I spent some time reviewing what I needed for the TV. It had to be WiFi, 4K and it had to be easy to use. I found the Hisense Q8 to meet all of these and very simple to configure and then use, but don't be fooled if you dig deeper into the configuration this is an extremely… Read more
capable ULED. TV The program guide is very fast to refresh and the picture quality is outstanding. To top it all off it is reasonably economical on it's power consumption as it get used for long periods every day and night. It also has the capability via a separate remote supplied to react to your voice instructions. I love it.
Perfect Tv – I would love with my new Hisence 65” ULED which is purchased 2 months ago. There is many free and enjoyable applications in VIDAA. Also, I got phone remote application on my phone which is faster to search anything on tv. I’m pretty satisfied with my Hisence QLED. Show details
Great TV – Overall this system is pretty good, I like how you can add or remove apps from the main list. When using a HDD with movies on, the name of the movie cant be seen straight away you have to wait for it to come on, the option to see all movies as a list resets each time you open it back up. Only 1 set of audio vid plugs. Connects to my mobile data… Read more
reasonably quickly. I purchased this TV because of the inbuilt speaker which unfortunately doesn't live up to the hype I recieved about the feature, the sound output is not great and when watching HDD movies even having the sound at 100 still isn't loud enough. When old movies are on the TV itself, the sound is low then when action comes on or music its very loud, background noise blocks out and dramatically comes back on. This is something to do with the TV sound and not an error of the system, however still annoying. I wouldn't purchase this TV over the $1000 cheaper TV If I was to go back as the extra speaker makes no difference! And that's why I paid for the better system..
Tv quality very average, sound very tinny – Spend nearly $4000 on this unit. Upon unpacking and setting up. We get nothing but glare from this unit which is unfortunate. The tv quality is average for the price we paid. The tv sound is very tinny, we regret our purchase. The only thing we like is the apps, and usability around the great software. Show details
Best value TV on the market! – Great value television! Not as high tech as some of the other's but neither am I. Serious though, great picture and very easy to navigate the menu! Highly recommend Hisense Show details
Best bang for buck TV! – The TV picture is amazing and the built in soundbar is very impressive! Once I made some tweeks to the picture settings I find watching movies & sport very satisfying! This is the best value TV on the market! The operating software is OK and the apps are limited but it offers all the big guns like Netflix, Prime, Youtube & Kayo. Show details
Really nice TV! – I have had 3 smart TV's over the last 5 years. Without mentioning the brands I have purchased before not one of the smart TV's I've had has lasted over 5 years. So I changed brands, went to the Hisense and at the moment I feel this is better than all of them. The picture is nothing short of fantastic and I think is on par with the more expensive… Read more
OLED and QLED TV's. The remote button set up is ergonomic and easily navigated. The sound of the TV is also very good as I think it has a sound bar built in at the base. I have no problem with using any of the apps on it. Although I did connect a Chromecast to run Foxtel Go even though it does have the Foxtel app built in. I choose not to have it connected to Alexa as I feel it's not needed, but can see that would excite others. I have it wall mounted and the thin frame surrounding the TV makes it blend right in and looks fantastic. If I was to pick a negative it is when it is turned off and turned back on the next day it reverts back to channel 1. That is the only negative and it's a very minor one. I would reccommend this TV to anyone. Even if you can afford the "high end" TV's compare this Hisense Q8 with them. Not only can you buy 3 of these for the price of a top end LG or Samsung but you'll be pleasantly surprised that it is every bit as good.

Its a good TV based on the price - value for dollar with high definition screening – Happy with the screening and clarity of the TV, however still exploring operational features which could be tweaked... ie some manual functions are not so user friendly (if a remote is not present) When it was initially purchased, we had to sync the screen with the movement of lips (which wasn't necessary with other models and occasionally you had pop ups appear where you had to go in and change the settings manually. It is a lot of TV for the price you pay – After more than 15 years of loyalty to Sony I had enough of so called “premium TVs”. I understand that every brand has budget TV models and many brands would have premium TV models that could be summarised as “you get what you pay for”. I honestly believe in that until in recent years I had some exposure to TCL and Hisense TVs. Well, 2 years ago I… Read more
bought my first Hisense S8 series in a 50” version and what a surprise it was. If you wish you can view my unboxing review here: https://youtu.be/eDlnhehNMw4. I have enjoyed the S8 now for 2 years and needed a new TV for the living room. The Q8 in 65” version came on sale and I pulled the trigger. I’ll attach below my impressions after using it for a month, but here is a quick summary. The bad: Doesn’t keep memory of the TV channel last used after 24 hours - defaults to channel 1 upon turning on next day. Not all apps available on offer within the VIDAA operation system. It is not an Android TV (that is bad and good at the same time - depending on what you’re after). The good: Panel (video) quality is amazing for a budget TV. Sound is great for a budget TV. The VIDAA operation system isn’t perfect, but very responsive and does what it intends to do. The price is right - there is a lot of TV for the price they sell for. Warranty - 3 year warranty. I don’t want to go around the circles poking fun at TVs imperfections and glorifying what they did well, but would like to say following: The Q series is a big improvement on the S series. If you are not happy with the “smartness” of the TV, Google Chromecast TV, Apple TV or Amazon equivalent offer fixes all imperfections at the fraction of the premium TV price. Buy one, connect, configure and here you have a fully premium TV (well almost) at a fraction of the price. I would not hesitate to recommend this TV for those who are on relative budget looking for an alternative for Sony, LG and Samsung.
Seriously brilliant. Hisense has come of age – Looks brilliant, it's a Smart tv with everything except Disney. Picture is vibrant and alive. Stand is sexy. Very very happy. Paired beautifully with my Samsung Sound bar. I have had this tv for 10 months Show details
Very good tv – Only had this TV a few days, but so far it's very good. Very good picture, no lag on sports at all. Sound is really good as well. The only problem I had was setting up the voice control, it was complicated, or at least for me, I found it to be difficult, but I did get there in the end & now it works well.
Nice picture but a few failings – We bought a Q8 55 a couple of months ago. Good points: - For general viewing (movies, FTA etc) the picture is very good - colour needed to be dialed down a bit, but contrast is great. - Sound quality is reasonable but we prefer to carry on using a soundbar for better quality. Bad Points: - Picture doesn't perform so well when watching… Read more
sport - action often blurred. Sports mode makes almost no difference. A family member has a Sony X9000 series TV and these definitely perform better for sport if anyone considering the two. - It's a smart TV but for the Aussie version of this TV they've cheaped out and use the Hisense operating system - VIDAA. This is a real disappointment - it doesn't have a lot of the apps available on Android TV (like Binge and Disney) or even Nine / Seven / Ten Apps - instead a buggy version of freeview is there. Other apps which are on VIDAA like Prime TV don't seem to work as well as the Android TV versions and have crashed on us a few time mid-viewing - meaning we have to reboot the TV. End result of this is that - even though it's marketed as a smart TV - you need to go out and buy an Android TV box or Apple TV to use with it which to me defeats the purpose. - Sound output via ARC give completely different volumes depending on channel / source. Have been through all the menu options several times but no solution.
Overall it's not a bad TV but probably would not buy again because of the VIDAA limitations - especially as no-one knows how long there will be support for VIDAA.
$2,500 for a 75" with FALD - use the savings from Sony to buy a Chromecast if you want a proper "smart TV" :) – Having read reviews on the Q8, we knew in advance to get a separate smart TV dongle - such as Mi Box S or Chromecast TV. Once you do a few tweaks with the settings (Rtings has some good tips for the US H9G equivalent), this is a killer TV. Stan sport looks great, and it plays 4k 60Hz content flawlessly. The big feature of this bad boy - FALD… Read more
or full area local dimming which is terrific for those "darker" movies like Christian Bale Batman.
ARC works seamlessly (turns the Denon AVR on/off) so you only need 1 remote for most general usage.
Cons - the USB ports don't have enough power to run a chromecast,
Shocking picture quality – Wasn’t expecting the world from a tv cheaper than other brands but for a $4000 tv (on sale) I thought the picture quality would be vastly better. I have a 7 year old 70” Sony that has arguably better quality and it’s not even a 4K tv. The screen looks like an uneven dirty mess on a uniformly grey screen and watching sport you notice how bad the… Read more
screen colour/brightness unevenness is. Also watching sport there’s ghosting around the players and looks like resolution is changing every few seconds. The apps are hopeless as well. Kayo can hardly keep a HD picture and needs to load on a 100mb connection and it’s so slow to load menus. No problems using kayo on the telstra tv. Dunno about 4K upscaling either. Last hisense I purchase and I’d highly recommend avoiding to others. Also a nightmare getting it out of the box. Terrible instructions.
Trying to return product but the good guys are blaming me for changing my mind asking for a 20% return fee for a RRP $5000 TV that looks like it cost $200. Highly recommend avoiding the good guys as well. Lost my business. ACCC complaint incoming.
Just absolutely horrendous follow up from both Hisense and Good Guys. The tv was assessed as faulty and they keep buck passing between each other about returning it. Theres a strong likelihood you’ll get a dud unit and don’t expect any support if you do. Consumer law says the trader needs to collect the unit +/- the packaging in a reasonable time frame at their expense. Good luck getting them to adhere to those laws. I’ve been stuck with the unit for 5 weeks and counting.
Rubbish... smart TV... not! – As the title says this RV is rubbish... I bought it to stream all my apps only to find out it doesn’t support Disney! Are you serious! The sound is also garbage and it’s really hard to distinguish voices when watching a movie. Don’t waste your money but LG or Sony. Show details
Good TV.....bad panel!!!! – After reading all the positive reviews I was excited about this TV. It has so much potential with some great features and a built in sound bar. But what let's it down is the panel. I noticed black shadow lines while watching sports, manily anything with a solid colour background with fast horizontal panning. "Vertical banding"! Once I've seen it I… Read more
can't unsee it. Had the TV replaced and the new one has it too, maybe even worse. I bought the TV as an upgrade from my 42 inch I purchased 12 years ago. You buy a TV to enjoy but instead I find myself not wanting to watch it and go back to my older TV that's still going strong. Hopefully others will get lucky with a good panel.

Screen Dis colouration – Screen discolouration after 6 months of use. I have been using it mainly for gaming and the screen panel looks nasty and so dirty that if you see the discolouration, you cant unsee it. The TV is has been purchase over 6 months and it already have this issue. Show details
Doesn't like Foxtel Satellite – TV's experience interference at the top of the screen when watching Foxtel non HD channels via satellite. We had two old Hisense tv's that did not experience this issue. After several Foxtel calls, visits by their technicians and phone calls with Hisense support the matter has not been resolved. Unfortunately the Overscan option on Hisense tv's is… Read more
not available via HDMI input which would have solved the problem. Hisense have said there is nothing they can do so put up with it. Very disappointing as I spent nearly four grand buying two of these tv's - wish I hadn't. If you don't have Foxtel satellite it's a good tv but don't buy one if you do.
Hisense Q8 (PS5) – Not bad its 4k, bought for a PS5. No HDMI 2.1 but don't care. For PS5 guys this t.v. is fine for fast motion 4k gaming @30fps. JBL sound rocks, but I use a Home theater system. Slick fast U.I. not a heavy t.v. WiFi, and the stand....its nice and tight and doesn't interfere on either side or front of the t.v. so even a small cabinet works for… Read more

Don’t buy Hisense way behind today technology and consumer expectations – I bought Hisense 55Q8 but was disappointed after 5mins to find out I can’t chromecast or air tv to my iPhone 11 (only works on android phone) , plus there is no option to download my favourite Optus Sport app. I was led to believe by the JB Hifi staff (Mark) in Belconnen Canberra that the Tv has everything technology uptodate. Thus I had to buy a chromecast ($99) to get around the issue SUCK. Show details
5 star tv from an LG / Samsung fan – Ive owned the 65 q8 for over 5 months now and i cannot recommend it more. It has a built in JBL soundbar great OLED panel and excellent backlight. get that room rumbling bass. But for normal movies and tv etc its great! Ive also put a review on the av forums website about this tv and everyone thats seen it loves it. So great job hisense, i chose your 65q8 over an lg oled, samsung qled and lg qled.
not to bad good picture but has faults – unlike my old 55-inch Hisense tv cant edit tv channels to know when I want channel 7 it says not available ie; when I took away all channels I didn't want non-HD channels, it would let me save HD channels as my numbers like 7, doesn't recognize it as 7 HD not 70 bad upgrades in this tv is needed. need to fix this first. volume with this tv is… Read more
terrible even with a soundbar now I have to go up to 70 on the soundbar but with the 55inch it was only 55 on the soundbar to be good to listen to. now the last thing is it says it 4k upscales I can't see that at all 4k upscale doesn't exist. not a bad tv but needs more done to compete with better TVs in the market. all in all its a good tv
