Disappointed in the sound – While I really like the size, shape and picture quality of this TV, the sound is very disappointing, so much so that I had to buy a sound bar. Also, it does not have bluetooth so bluetooth headphones are not a possibility. Seems silly to make a TV these days without bluetooth. Once the TV is mounted on a wall it is extremely difficult to get to the panel on the side, e.g., the headphone jack, USB ports.

Very disappointed. Will not buy Hisense again.

UPDATED OCT 2018 - Not for the average user – August 2023, despite rather hating this TV, it's traded hands a 3rd time and still works... I guess that beats other chinese TV brands? This UHD TV has staggering resolution, if you know how to access it. Standard definition movies/content look mediocre on 65" TV's generally, and will look pixelated and poor unless the TV has lots of image to work with. This TV will not play 1080p content on it's 65" screen magically better than any other TV. When playing 4k content from a home theatre PC, it's excellent. It has 1 UHD capable HDMI port which does not appear to support 3D. Looks excellent with Xbox One (which is not a UHD device).

Updated 8/9/15: For some reasons the lip sync when running content from PC through HDMI is NEVER aligned. It seems ok with Netflix (when run from windows PC via hdmi). There IS an Australian firmware update, however I have not managed to run it and update the TV at this stage to test.

I've reduced this to 4 stars. With Aldi now releasing a 65" 4k TV at $1199, the price point I got my Hisense is not as great.

2016 experience edits

I have not had any success trying to work out how to change the lip sync from video files from my PC to this tv (includes lip sync being out playing Netflix).

To counter the issue I have been forced to play media using VLC and use the millisecond lip sync adjust feature within that application. *********

So you bought this TV second hand? I hope it was cheap.

This TV cannot, and will never support XBOX S, XBOX X or PS4PRO at 4k, no adapter cable or conversion device will fix this. This TV is a HDMI 1.4, and HDCP2? (I think) - ONLY 4K@30hz

The best solution to breath life into this TV is either A: Use a home theatre PC that outputs 4K@30hz. Or Buy a Xaomi Mi3 Box off Aliexpress that allows a 4K@30hz/4K@24hz output, allowing 4k Youtube. Netflix will not play 4K at below 50hz.

Your 4K torrents will work just fine. Cheap, Big, 4k-UHD, Decent power consumption. UHD Hdmi port appears to not support 3d.

Purchased at Harvey Norman.

Id buy a different brand – This tv looked amazing in store but when we got it home and tried to watch digital tv there was huge ghosting problems and pixelating problems. It has the latest firmware update when you check on the tv and we then rang hisense to sort the problem out. We adjusted the settings like they suggested and it made it somewhat bearable. We ended up taking it back and exchanging it for another tv. The xbox looked really good on it and that was about it. Price ghosting and pixelation

Excellant TV – The Hisense in my view is the not only the best value UHDTV on the market but also has the tech to match any brand. Well constructed, solid build. Remove the cover and you will find better longer lasting components. Also has the best warranty which is 3 years and yes the picture is brilliant. Beyond Value for money Have not found an issue yet.

Just beware that some HDMI cable don't work with their TV'S, there is no reason for this but yet it happens.
