very happy – i bought the UZ557200 so far so good, i love it fantastic picture, start is the normal 10 sec for smart tv, but i can live with it.. sound is pretty good but all modern flat tvs are not great sound but i use external speakers, highly recommend this tv got for $1738 JBHFI it was bargain usually $2499... well i think its fabulous and if you can get one cheap your doing well 3 HDMI inputs all 4K which i haven't tried yet, the 400 mhz refresh rate is noticeable.. and picture clarity excellent. at the time i compared this hitachi to samsung lg and sony it had higher quality specifications and was definitely the better tv of the lot i bought it and don't regret it one bit.

Poor remote control reception – You have to hold the remote on just the right position and angle within 2m from tv for it to work. I brought a Logitech harmony remote and it even struggles to work, it's very frustrating. Slow startup and if you leave the volume up when you turn it off it takes around 10 seconds to turn it down when you switch it back on so be careful turning it back on late at night. An annoying USB media prompt on every startup and a poorly designed media playback, maybe the next software update will fix media and startup issues? I would give it a 4 star rating if the remote control was not so annoying. Great picture and tv looks nice. Main reason I brought this particular tv is the great stand design, it fits on a compact tv cabinet very neatly. It has a headphone jack which makes connection to sound system very easy.
2021 update I have had the tv for 4 years now and it is still working.

Terrible experience – We bought a 65" Hitachi from JN HiFi less than a month ago. The picture quality was ok and sound was pretty poor so we had to buy a soundbar as well. A couple of weeks in, the screen started going blank and we could only hear the sound. We had to switch off and then on again. Now the picture has gone completely and nothing is working. Worst experience with a TV so far.
