Makes the shed bearable!! – I have been looking at getting aircon in shed for a few years. This year i bit the bullet. After shopping around and looking at various options i went with this unit. Don't waste your money – The normal situation in our house near Cooma is 27 degrees inside and 45 pc humidity, and 37 degrees and 10 pc humidity outside. be 27 degrees. This unit is only of benefit in an outdoor environment which kind of negates the reason we bought it. Fine for the Nullarbor Plain sitting under a tree, but for a house forget it. This baby is headed for eBay asap.

Powerful unit – This will blow you away, I've had the unit for a year or more and in South Australia where the temperature hits 40 c+ it works very well. it's quite noisy but that's to be expected with the size of the fan. As with all water coolers does not work well in humid conditions but in the dry heat of SA it's fantastic. Great for cooling down large outdoor under cover areas, large water tank means you don't have to fill often and a connector for a hose if you need to keep it running for extended periods.

Stay Cool! – The Honeywell CL60PM is running right now , it's 32.6°C @ 28% humidity outside and cool inside with some windows open for ventilation to stop humidity rising. running it dry will ruin the water pump, the hose connection is supplied with a 13mm barb, pipe inlet measures about 16mm (5/8) having trouble finding other fittings for it like a 90° elbow so hose isn't a trip hazard. Noise? It does create some noise but not much more than smaller units, being cool and rested makes it easily bearable . Overall I'm impressed with it , and maintaining it isn't too difficult, turn water off 15min before turning unit off to prevent growth on pads , dump tank water weekly will prevent issues. Cleaning pads requires taking screws out and hose pads down gently , dont over tighten screws as they screw into plastic. There is a cheaper unit out there that uses less power but I want something that's rugged and lasts with a larger tank with plenty of cooling media. Cheers.
