Hoover Slalom SL8123

Worst machine I have ever used – I brought my machine in 2013 as a replacement for my 1999 Hoover high performance upright, what a disapointment. it has poor suction even on the highest setting and continually re-deposits rubbish instead of picking it up. I find that it takes considerably longer to clean the same area having to go over the same spot repeatedly and still not have a clean floor. After 40 years of Hoover products I will not buy another Hoover. the hand brush attachnments Poor suction and performance
OK – Overall its a great machine. however the extention arm only has the angle end (ie for tight spots like between car seats), rather then being able to connect the brush end etc. Which is annoying because when trying to reach cobwebs from the ceiling you can not connect the brush and potentially mark the ceiling. Also recently the on/off switch stopped working, and now need to turn on at the power point. I called the shop, and after I get it back to them it will be sent away for up to 3 weeks to be repaired. Lets hope its all good after that. Suction is great. maneuverability is great. Its Heavy, Particularly for stairs. for $599 i would expect the cord to be recoiled.
