My HP Laptop didn't last even 4 fours and not much used in those 4 years. It first came up with BIOS error and then a week later it would not start, came up with Bitlocker code, I tried so many times but nothing worked. Show details

I brought this laptop as a home laptop to pay bills, online groceries etc. I use it anywhere between once a fortnight-month so very little. I find it so annoying, always a prompt to be updating something taking ages to be able to actually use the laptop. Today, after having it for under 2 years I notice a small screw on my floor, turned the laptop… Read more

I purchased this laptop from JBHifi in Dec 24 during a promotion with Boxing day. This is for school .In few months time my son has complained about poor battery life. When I took to JB Hifi they said need to send over to HP even though it's under warrenty and it will take 4-6 weeks turn around. As my son could survive for such a long time we took… Read more

the laptop back and made a complain .Then JB Hifi said directly contact HP support for quicker turn around. When I call HP support they constanty sai it is a software issue. We spent hours and hours in the phone .Wirh our push HP support said to send the machine to their repair centre.Once we send it it return withwith two days by putting a battery as the problem is with Battery. So my lessons are if you buy a laptop from JB and even it's under warranty they do not do any , they pass that to the repairer where you do not have laptop for a longer period. Then when you call HP support (support center overseas) they take you around the bush .Only positive experience is with HP repair centre .

Smallish screen but good overall – We purchased this in return of MacBook pro because we were looking to buy laptop with the Intel processor. This is 10th gen core 17 processor. Happy with that. However the battery runs rather quickly. Display is wide but not long enough. Camera not very good either. Show details

Reliable – We decided to pay a little more for a laptop and chose a HP Pavilion 3 in 1. It is very reliable and quality made. It's stood the test of time for several years now and I would be happy to stick with this brand. Show details

Good price – The price of this computer was great given what we use it for. We've had it for 11 months and haven't had any big issues with it so far. It was very easy to set up and put on the programs that we use. The only issue we've had it occasionally it will log out just after you log it, but that hasn't happened too often. Show details

Bought an HP Pavilion in May 24 and have nothing but problems with calibrating the battery. It is a cumbersome exercise taking hours to complete and the final result still shows a battery calibration is needed. I have always owned a HP Pavilion and never had to perform this task in the past. I will no longer trust HP products. Show details

I have an HP laptop 15s, and after three years of use, I needed to change the battery. I called HP customer service to ask about the price for a replacement battery. After about ten minutes on the phone, the representative emailed me but did not provide a price for the new battery. Instead, she asked for my home address. I explained that I only… Read more

wanted the price to compare with other retailers, but she insisted on getting my address. I eventually provided my postcode and state, but she still refused to give me a price.

She explained (HP customer care), "We requested your full address for a 'comprehensive quotation' because our standard service model for parts like batteries includes the associated labor and potential travel costs for a technician to visit your location for installation. This is why a simple postcode isn't sufficient for generating a complete service quote that reflects all charges. However, I understand that you are only looking for the price of the battery itself, without any service."

I didn't need a technician to come to my home or to incur labor costs for installation, as I could install the battery myself. Despite this, she continued to refuse to provide a price. After waiting on the phone and sending three emails, she finally told me to visit the HP parts store. I was frustrated because she didn't mention that option sooner. I decided I didn’t want to buy a battery from them and cut off the conversation.

Later, I ordered a replacement laptop battery from Better Batt for $50, including a one-year warranty, and installed it myself. Saved $200 for just the battery plus comprehensive service charges and saved time to just deliver the product on time, most of the time they run out the stock. I got my new battery from Better Bratt in 2 days. The HP product is good, but this kind of service, I'd better buy another brand.

HP laptop not recommended – Beware this laptop as not touch screen. I purchased online from HP. It was a decent price, not a cheap one. Not having touch screen is a step back in time. Not recommended. Also, I have had a hardware issue with the laptop....camera not working. HP support used to be great, now very disappointing. Starts off well, lots of promises then nothing. Email after email to find out what is going on, what next step is. Why is HP support so poor? Show details

HP laptops can’t do the basics after 3 years….like turn on! – HP need to own up to their laptops being of poor quality that don’t demand the price they charge. My rarely used HP Pavilion laptop won’t turn on. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue, that were all futile, HP decided it was my problem that the power button doesn’t work, and HP don’t take any accountability. Apparently 3 years is more… Read more

than enough for a power button to work!

Upon doing some research, it seems this is a common issue with HP laptops. I can not recommend anyone buy a HP laptop….or anything else from HP after dealing with their customer service team.

HP 15-FD0031TU not up to spec at $1400 price point – HP 15-FD0031TU (7X861PA..) is not a quality and valued laptop. The keys are cheap, tacky, noisy, rubbery and feel very hollow. I suggest you look elsewhere as this laptop is not up to spec at $1400 AUS. If it drops to around $800 AUS, then it would be a good buy. Check other reviews from various websites and they also mention this is not a quality and valued laptop at this price point.

HP Pavilion does not turn on and HP Tech support want to charge me $500 plus for repair – I am very unhappy with HP technical support and the laptop does not charge or turn on. HP Pavilion 15.6" touchscreen laptop 15-cs3073cl – I bought this laptop brand new in Oct., 2020 for my daughter to use in college. Sometime in Feb. 2021, she started having issues with it. error message saying "there is not any available recovery binary in the system". For a brand new laptop, it has been a major headache. My daughter and I had been on the phone for many hours for several days talking to tech support. She had to scramble borrowing school mate's laptops or use the library computer so she can attend classes and do her school work. New laptops shouldn't have these types of problems. What is worse is I am not able to return it to the store because it was past the 3 month return period. I also found out the store I purchased it from or HP stopped manufacturing this particular model. Go figure. Laptops are very expensive as it is. Common people do not have the luxury of buying laptops on a whim. I would give it a zero if I can.

Not Good – HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15. For me, not a cheap laptop and I feel like a fool for getting it. I have had it now for over 12 months. I had to install a better C drive almost immediately because some programs… Read more

run best off the C Drive. With the new C drive memory is no longer an issue - great.

However, over heating is a massive concern. The computer shuts down to a black screen even playing online chess. Note - this a 'gaming computer' it can not handle even the basic games. There are so many comments online about the over heating. I usually do a lot research before spending this kind of money. Honestly I can't remember if I did the research, but I know I trusted the HP name.

I will never ever buy HP again.

A great light-weight laptop – I don't know a lot about computers, but when I needed to get a new laptop I knew I wanted something light-weight and stylish, with a large keyboard, separate number keypad and good sound. Lost Focus of Hewlett Packard – Hewlett Packard is by far the worst computer manufacturing company till date in my experience. A company marketing BYOD as their specialty should not be selling such crap laptops. Many reviews here also having similar fault. Disgusted customer. A very robust design – My HP Pavilion accompanied me to north-eastern Thailand during the Monsoon. I used it everyday for 3 months there, usually outdoors. It was shorted by water, repaired by a local technician, and worked as a well as ever. Back in Sydney it was stored in a hock shop for 2 months. Years after purchase I am using it now.
