Terrible! Stay away – Accurate facts. I have 4 Hunter pacific fans. They are terrible. Nothing wrong with the fans but the remote keeps breaking on all 4 and that’s a $70 replacement. Plus the spin speed is TERRIBLE. Beacon lighting fan I tried and it’s like a tornado in comparison
Not worth the money – Purchases 2 from Masters, one straight out of the box makes a noise which turns out to be a fan fault and the other fan's light failed shortly after 1 year which isn't covered by warranty. At $200 per fan most people would expect more, I wouldn't recommend this fan. Show details
Don’t buy this fan! – Original remote did not work, I had to change the batteries daily, that was replaced. Now it is 4 months out of warranty and it will not turn on. It has hardly been used so I didn’t realise it wasn’t working. I need to buy a part for $70-100. Hunter Pacific used to be a reliable brand. I won’t replace this one with HP. Show details
Agree with the 'not so good' reviews! – Reported that both fans are 1.5 years old and both have an electrical burning smell when in use and do not seem safe to use. One of the fans is also turning on by itself, starts beeping and won't stop until we turn the fan off at the fuse box. response to ask for photos (which required us taking the cover off the fans, etc.) which we supplied.
Final response was that they feel the issues are with the remotes and not the fans (really?!) and that the remotes only cover a 12 month warranty.
Poor customer service, defiantly wound never by a Hunter Pacific fan again!!
Should have read these reviews first!! – Brought 3 "Intercept 2" fans in April 2015 but did not get them installed until Feb 2016 as waiting for Electrician. 1 of the 3 fans works well and is quiet. them. Took them about 2 weeks to respond (after following up several times). They agreed to send 2 new motors which they did along with a cheque for $120 as we live in an area they have no agent. Do not see why we have to pay the extra when it is their products that are faulty. Both new motors are quiet and all 3 fans are working well. Coming into winter we will not use them so will have to see how well they work next summer. Fingers crossed.
worked well for 1 year – I was recommended this brand by the electrician, I bought 3 for our new house. The first 2 slowed to a speed that would not create a breeze on their highest speed within about a year. The part in a capacitor? I paid the electrician to repair the first 2 and then 6 months later the 3rd fan did the same thing. I was sent another capacitor and need to pay the electrician. I asked if this was going to happen every year or 2 because it would be cheaper to by a different fan. I was told no, the fault was rectified in the new capacitor. Well it lasted 3 years and the 1st repaired fan is now slow again on the highest speed. Fans will be pulled out and I advise all my friends and family and on all my social media groups to stay right away from hunter pacific.
TERRIBLE, DONT BUY – Im not sure what was worse, the fans or the customer service. We had 2 fans installed in September 2015... its now the end of Summer in March 2016 and the fans are still not working and we are still waiting for warranty replacement. One good fan and one bad fan – In 2008 bought 2 basic wall operated Hunter Pacific fans. One has always worked well. The other has always been a waste, high speed works well but medium is slower than slow and the slow speed is almost not there. Hunter Pacific Fans - Fans might be good but who knows - their service certainly isn't! – Had two HP Intercept fans installed 10 June 2015. Heard nothing for quite some time so I emailed them again & was advised on 24 July 2015 that the replacement fans had been sent to Fusion Electrical & that perhaps I might like to ring them myself. Tried that - received a recorded message. After much chasing up, I finally managed to contact Fusion (dunno why HP couldn't follow their own issues up) & FINALLY on 31 July 2015, Fusion arrived (loud cheer). Replaced the fan that wasn't working but didn't have a replacement fan for the one making a grinding noise.
Then the electrician noticed that his paperwork said to use the one replacement fan he did have to replace the one that was making a grinding sound. No way that was going to happen now that I actually had one fan that was working. Electrician said he'd report that he needed a second replacement fan and mark it as urgent. Well - it was so urgent that when I hadn't heard anything by 10 August 2015, I contacted HP to find out what was happening. Received an email response advising that the replacement fan would be sent to Fusion sometime that week. So they were waiting for me to complain before following the matter up - how bad are they!!! It's now 21 August and I still haven't been further contacted by either HP or Fusion to advise when the job will be completed. Both of these companies need a reality check because the service has been appalling. ADDITION: Still 21 August 2015 and I received a call from Fusion Electrical. They'd received the replacement fan but were so sorry but they wouldn't be able to install it until 1 September 2015. So I guess the job must still be considered urgent! What poor efforts from both of these companies and I wish I'd just gone to K-Mart and bought a couple of fans now.
Steer clear of Hunter Pacific fans – We purchased 6 Intercept 2 fans in early Jan 2015. One did not work at all and 2 had noise issues, rendering them useless in a bedroom situation. This is a 50% defect rate. Retailer, JD Lighting & Fans, referred us to HP to make an online warranty claim which we did on 15 Jan. They do not stand by their product and do not allow customers to speak to management. We are continually fobbed off by their phone staff saying "senior management will call us" but they never do. BE WARNED.
Quite costly and very useless – Bought it a year ago and it spins slower on high speed than similar fans do on there slow setting. Have bought three of these fans over the last ten years throughout the house with varying performances. This one is by far the worst and I will not be buying a forth.
dont buy these – we have had these fans fixed twice over the last 5 years- about to go for the third time. twice the problem has been with the receiver which cost us $$$$ to replace. poor quality and expensive. go to bunnings.
Light a nightmare – The fan itself is great. I had problems with the light, an electrician was sent out during warranty but didn't fix it. The light goes out, I have to try the fan on high, then turn it off, then try turning it off at the wall. years now since I bought 4 fans and Hunter Pacific have no support, even though the fault was reported well within the first 12 months. Very disappointed. Fan looks smart and is quiet Light unreliable and poor follow up on this fault
