Just bought a Husky HUS-172VFWH.1 UPRIGHT FREEZER , Let it stand for 2 hours after leveling it before turning on. The outside of the freezer got very hot - is this normal?
Mine didn't. But if it's faulty don't buy same one. Mine also freezers inside in weeks to the point I can't open the top compartment - it isn't frost free but freezers up too fast imo.
Hi Carolann, Thanks for contacting us, Yes that’s normal. It will get hot at first start-up because it is trying to cool down the freezer. It will still get warm to hot on the outside when running which is normal because the compressor is running the hot/cold refrigerant along the pipes.

Why are the top coils and top section constantly freezing up to the point I can't use?

Unfortunately, with this unit you will have to manually defrost the freezer every few months to help with the freezer build up.

It's a pull down flap. not a drawer. (same as bottom) very stiff, I recommend 2 hands.
Just brought one and can’t open the pull down flap either
