Never owned or used one before but this one works really well, would recommend it – Have used this machine for making many different garments using many different fabrics all of which have been successful. The threading process was a little fiddly at first, but you can’t go far wrong with the manufacturers colour and numbering system. All in all a great little machine. Would recommend it.

Purchased at Spotlight Retail Stores for $299.

Sturdy, easy threading, simple overlocker – Trouble free sewing for 15 years now. Threading is simple, barely ever have to mess around with tensions, but instructions are detailed, and it's simple to do. I've constructed T-shirts, PJs etc. with the 4 thread, and use three thread for finishing. Couldn't be happier with its ease of use, and what it adds to my sewing projects. Very easy to maintain - couple of oiling points - main thing (as with any sewing machine), is to ensure you clean out lint and fluff regularly, and change over the needles regularly (about every 8 sewing hours, or each new project). Was recommended to me by my Mother in law, and I've been happy to recommend it to others.

Great machine – I have had this machine for a few years and I love it. It is easy to thread and does roll hemming, gathering with ease. It has never missed a beat. I have it serviced once a year to make sure it keeps running perfectly. It sews double Minky with ease. Has earned its weight and I recommend it.

Nightmare!!! – If you want to sew anything heavier than a light weight cotton this is not the machine for you as soon as you try and sew through a seam the needle snaps I've tried everything and unless i manually wind it through anything more than double thickness the needle bends or snaps its also super noisy and flimsy the cover never snaps back in place properly all in all a terrible machine!!!

Good – A fantastic buy. This machine is very user friendly, easy to adjust to different stitches. Threading is simple. Sews like a dream. Fantastic machine. Easy to thread, does a beautiful rolled hem. Foot lever is on the side so no need to to fumbling at the back for the lever. Plenty of room either side of the needles. Advantage of sewing by disengaging the cutting blade for delicate fabrics. Easy to clean. Easy to change to different stitches. Easy threading. You can't see the cutting blade because it has a protective cover. It takes a little getting used too but am fine with that now. Bounces around when sewing at top speed. Have broken a few needle prongs.

Be aware of the warranty period, as they don't honor their 5 year warranty as advertised in media. They have all the excuses in the world not to fix broken machine, newer a husqvarna again.
