Husqvarna TS 114
VerifiedMPN: TS1141 review
Bought fom a local rural dealer, this mower looked the part, and came with solid specifications, Made in USA. So far, it starts well, and does a great job on the grass, with a comfortable seat and a good turning circle. However, original equipment screws constantly come loose, and on one occasion caused a plastic guard to fall off and get damaged, which was replaced under warranty by the dealer. Two nuts locked together, NOT Nyloc nuts, holding up the front cutting deck fell off, so there was no height adjustment control, and again parts were replaced by the dealer. The steering wheel became loose and had to be re-secured. The same original screws holding on that plastic guard came off again, and this time were secured with a tek screw, so fingers crossed that will fix the problem. Overall in such a short time, this mower has been disappointing as far as quality control is concerned. I did my research, but still I am not happy.
Follow-up · Now that I have tightened up many of the loose screws and bolts, the mower has performed well, although it was always easy to start and drive. The seat is quite comfortable, and sometimes I could be on it for a couple of hours at a time. I use the mower over mainly clean areas with some slight undulations, but common sense height adjustment of the cutting deck is essential. I expect engine maintenance to be relatively easy when required, but checking the air cleaner is easy, and cutting blades is made much easier, in an elevated location; up on ramps! Would I recommend this model Husqvarna? Perhaps, but do your own research!
