Terrible Quality – Terrible quality item. During assembly one of the screw heads was stripped, had to use pliers to get this out. Then had to go back to IKEA to get more parts, people were lovely about it. Got home and fixed the issue, went onto putting the screws into the base that the mattress sits on top of and found that the screw hole was blocked as a bit of… Read more

wood wasn't glued properly from the factory. IKEA does not show any reviews online for this product despite it being old, so I am assuming that they are all poor quality and that they do not wish to show the amount of negative reviews. Countless results on the internet showing how bad this product is, I wish I had have seen those first.

All Ikea Cots are Dangerous – My 20 mth old toddler keeps getting her leg stuck between the bars. We bought a breathable cot liner but it doesnt help as it slides down when she puts her leg on it. It is dangerous in the sense that she screams in pain when her leg is between the bars and sometimes right up to her hip joint, so one wrong move and it risks her dislocating her… Read more

hip. The bars are not rigid enough or close enough together to stop a childs leg from sliding in between.

Sad to see it’s no longer offered – Just realised this is no longer for sale. What a shame as it is possibly the best cot ever! Cheap, sturdy, portable enough to lift around to clean the flooring under... and most importantly safe. We’ve used this with our 2 baby girls and it has well and truly stood the test and in fact, could still look like new! I feel sorry for those who’d paid 5 times more for something bulkier and heavier.  Show details

Such a good cheap cot – Cheap, practical and matches our other furniture in the bedroom. Love our cot. Perfect height either low or high. Would reccomend if they still sold it. Haven’t used as toddler bed yet

Great cot – Great cot for my daughter. The mattress from Ikea is perfect too. Looks great in her room & she is happy falling asleep in it. We have cot bumpers too which make it a bit more comfortable for her Show details

Cot is good, mattress is terrible – We were happy with the cot, however the Ikea cot mattress is terrible! After my newborn son (8 weeks at the time) slept on it for one sleep, there was an indent in the mattress, which didn't go away in between sleeps. I was really concerned about the back support, so we went out and bought a different cot and mattress - much better. I am currently… Read more

talking with Ikea about a resolution. Really disappointing because we liked the cot itself, but other mattresses don't fit Ikea's sizing.

Great value – I agonised over buying a cot for my first baby and decided to go for this one as it seemed good value for money. I'm so happy with this purchase. It's been a year and the cot is in perfect condition. Very comfy, sturdy and not too heavy so you can easily move to clean etc.

A bit small for my LO – I was generally happy with this cot up until just recently. It has no harmful paint and no drop down rail meaning its safer for the baby (not good for MY back though lol). However unfortunately my LO - who is not at all big for his age (13months) moves around a lot while he is asleep and found this cot a bit too small - its generally slightly… Read more

shorter in length or width than other (expensive) cots. He gets stuck and cries in pain when he happens to be sleeping "horizontally". By stuck I don't mean that his limbs go out because we have the protector and all but when he sleeps horizontally his head is turned in an awkward angle because the cot is shorter in width. BUT it could be just my LO.... he is an adventurous sleeper.

Perfect for us – We brought this cot as a replacement one for our first. Long story short my partner broke it while rebuilding it so we didn't want to spend a small fortune in getting another one. Off to ikea we went and I am SO happy we did. It was $79 + a mattress. We chose the cheapest mattress that I think was around $30. The cot itself is sturdy and was… Read more

easy to build. My son went straight down to the bottom setting as he was around 1 when he went into it.

He's currently 17 months and will be sleeping in it until he is around 24 months, then his sister will be sleeping in it.

Also a little DIY trick, we are going to be painting the pillars around the cot a light shade of pink. The cot is untreated wood so it will be simple to do :-)

Simple and good – I love the simplicity of this cot- nice proportions, clean lines, simple function, nothing unnecessary. Baby can bite the rails without worrying about toxic paint or chipping. No noisy fussy drop down side. One side can be removed for when child is older. And the $99 pricetag I bought it for just cannot be beaten. Simple and neutral design

Good – This was a really simple option for our baby which has been useful since he was born. You can have the base set up higher when they are small and put it lower once they can pull themselves up. You can also take the side completely off and use it as a toddler bed once they get older. It is really plain looking so matches whatever decor you have for… Read more

your baby. Spending less of the cot enabled mme o spend more on other baby stuff (pram etc). Simple, cheap, safe, lots of options for use. You have to undo it to change the function.

Good – I have no regrets. I half wish I'd gotten something with a drop down side because it's so hard to pat bub to sleep when she's lying in the cot- but the drop side cots have been banned in america as they've caused too many deaths with infants. The price- one of the cheapest I could find. Nice plain style, light, easy to move, makes a nice toddler… Read more

bed as it's so low to the ground. Needed a sand, bit rough. When you lower the bed base because bub is standing, it's really too low down to pat them to sleep- even if you're 175cm tall!

Excellent – The cot complies with Australian standards and is very sturdy once assembled. It is very light to move around and is easy for cleaning. Would recommend this as a cheap but good quality, nice little cot that would suit any decor or bedding. For our baby's room we purchased the IKEA Gulliver cot however when my mum wanted to buy one for her place… Read more

for sleepovers, we decided to go with the cheaper Sniglar cot. Whilst quite plain, once it is set up in the room, it actually looks really nice and goes with any decor. If you want to get creative, you could paint it any colour you like. We also purchased the Cloud canopy to go with it and it looks really cute (we have the circus canopy for our one at home).

Good – If you are on a budget and want a cheap cot that will do the job and still looks fine than I would highly recommend this cot from Ikea which sells for just over $100. It is pretty sturdy and comes in a nice simple design. Quite easy to look after and the construction is not that bad compared with other cots. One definitely worth looking at. Good… Read more

value cot. Very cheap and a great alternative for those on a budget. It will do the job that it needs to and still looks great. There are none. Worth it as a second cot.

Excellent – This is about one of the cheapest cots you can get these days and it meets the Australian cot standards so is a very affordable way to kit out a room for a new baby. The cot is pretty sturdy and is great if you need to purchase an additional cot for another child. It is easy to move around and looks nice in most decors. Very easy to clean and I… Read more

think it is a very safe cot to use. A very inexpensive cot that suits many different decors and is easy to movie around. Can also be used for a growing toddler as well. There are none. A bargain.
