Ilve 60cm LVG Series Questions & Answers
VerifiedCan the oven door be adjusted as it sits off the bottom seal by 5mm but still touches the top one. My oven has not been installed yet.
I would never buy Ilve again. The gas oven you mention -the handle is unsafe as it gets so hot. You need mits. Also the gas lighter function. If you start with a higher temperature then need to turn down the gas goes out. I have had two people come to fix and noone can. Ilve dont even want to know about it. I hate my oven. Buy electric - a Neff. I wish I had.

Why does my Ilve 600SVGI oven burn everything on the bottom?
also how do you tell when the oven has reached the desired temperature?
Hi Trish,
can you please email your contact details to cc@eurolinx.com.au and we'll talk you through this. ILVE Customer Care
I have the same problem with my oven. If you fill the lowest rack with 2 or 3 empty baking trays, this stops the bottom of your food burning. Also, make sure you cook on only the middle or upper racks when using as an oven. For fan/grill mode, I use middle and lower racks to prevent burning.
There is no obvious way to tell the oven is at temperature. However, if you look at the bottom element, through the two little holes, you’ll see the gas flame. If the flame is large, it’s still heating; if the flame is small, it’s at temperature. You can also turn the dial on the right side around and listen for a soft “click”. Then look in your manual for the corresponding temperature.
