These are great! – These are great gates. We had 3 in our house and they all work perfectly. The other reviewers mention problems with the door opening up or the gate scratching the wall, these are problems with installation. I'd recommend mounting the plastic cups in the wall to prevent the gate from slipping and allowing you to get the gate very tight. These gates are great!

Safe, functional and reliable – I have two of these infa-secure gates and they are both fantastic. I bought them to keep the little man out of the kitchen while we were renovating. The gate secures easily to the wall and is sturdy and holds fast even when dear son was grabbing on to the bars and trying to pull it open. Highly recommend this gate. We also have an extension for… Read more

the gate and managed to erect it between to sliding doors as we did not have a security screen and needed to keep bub away from the balcony. Great value, reliable and secure One of the gates was slightly stiff and a bit hard to open but did not affect the function of the gate.

Modern, reliable and looks great – The colour and style suits our house and the gate fits well within our hallway overlooking down to the stairs. The door takes several minutes to install and feels very secure, as baby often hangs from it when he sees me when I've come from work. Only drawback is that it doesn't self latch closed. Modern colour and style. Sturdy. Doesn't self close. You need to do this yourself. Show 3 replies

great safety great perfect for us – i love how how the door can stay open if need and the catch it a bit different then other safety gate there no way my bubba is gonna work it out, my other cheap one my bubba can bump it open and get into all sorts. bit a more expensive then the basic one but one but worth it. i love how it stay open so when bubba in bed i can leave it open and do… Read more

house work and not have to open and close it very time and wanna go in and out $$ bit more expensive the the basic safety but works well.

Bad – i would not buy this due to what my daughter went through, for the price you pay for it you would think that it would be safe and not harm toddlers, i would not buy this product! easy to lock and unlock the vertical gaps are to far apart as nearly every day i have to pry my daugthers knees out of it with great difficulty and it is not easy to do… Read more

she has bruises from this, i think they should of thought a bit harder about the gap distance, i have since had to buy yet another safety gate which does not have the gaps to far apart

Terrible! – Bought two of these gates and hate them. Extremely difficult to tighten them enough to keep them from moving. They stripped the paint from our walls. Regardless of how tight we made them, they would still move with use. The locking mechanisms themselves are downright annoying to use one-handed - they are very stiff and you have to line up the… Read more

gate precisely in order to lock it. For some reason, the locking mechanism gets out of alignment and it's nearly impossible to lock the gate. We manage to force the top of the gate to "lock" but the bottom doesn't line up and therefore isn't 100% secure.

Overall, very unimpressed.

Moves with use, difficult to lock one-handed.

Terrible – When are these companies going to do something about the appauling quality of such necessary products for our young ones? Like that it looks good and suited our decor well. Not many of the gates on the market are available in silver. The gates safety button and handle were useless. The gate could simply be lifted off the little mount at the… Read more

bottom. Far from being safe??? For the cost of such a product you expect to get something that actually does the job. We went through 2 gates and both were the same immediately after fitting. Didn't work properly. When I returned to the store the women advised me that they had them returned often for the same reason.

Bad – Next time I would pay more and get something better quality. I like that it could be extended to fill large gaps but as above, it left damage on our wall and it is fairly stiff to use. Fairly sturdy. Has the no screw option (so as not to permanently damage the wall... but!!! read below) Good price. It actually did damage our wall :( In order… Read more

to get it secure enough, we screwed it in fairly tight and over time it left a massive imprint in our wall. It wouldn't do this with a door way though.

It wasn't that easy to use and I quite often needed two hands to use it.

Excellent – I love this safety gate, it is really easy to use and my daughter is safely kept out of rooms that she isn't allowed into, yet we can come and go easily without any issues. Other brands of safety gate change size and extend for larger doors but then they become a pain when you just want to get in and out without the size changing. In the end you… Read more

step over them. That doesn't happen with this particular safety gate. It's truly wonderful and I will be replacing my other gates with this brand very soon. Easy to use and sturdy product There are no cons

OK – Without having used any other gates, this being our first, i'd say it's average. If screwed on the wall it can be safe and strong, though our toddler has shaken it numerous times it's still standing; but we do discourage him as it seems that it will collapse any minute from the shaking hehe. In terms of height yes very good, the bottom part is… Read more

easy to trip over the first couple of time (espec when in the dark and need a glass of water). The main problem would be that the gate is not wide enough (door part) so we have to always get in side ways; i'm not too tall and so my heaps are about the height of it and have to turn sideways, or if you're a bit over your weight again same problem. strong when installed correctly there is nothing on the door to allow entering without always having to push the tab across and lift the gate open. So we ended up getting a door stopper but my bubba keeps pulling it out so for the sake of the few times a days we need it when we cook we have to have it shut all day (but it's worth it for his safety).

Good – If your budget is tight but you need a gate then this is a good choice. it is a little tricky to fit, getting the (optional) screws in the right spot but once it is in it's easy to use. the hight is generous too. we are going to buy another the same to use in a different part of the house too. it is very easy to open, even with a baby in one hand.… Read more

the colour is stylish (silver) and the price is very good. so far ours has been much sturdyer than it looks, with an adventureous toddler trying (unsuccesfully) to climb it. you are supposed to be able to move it from door to door with no fasenings but we found we had to use the (included) support cups and they need one screw into the doorframe each (but not a big sacrifice for safety). you have to be careful not to trip on the bottom as you walk through it.

Bad – I would not recommend this type of gate unless you have perfectly square doorways, our gates get used all day with 4 children in care plus a family of 5 adults walking throught it daily. I like the colour of it and the height of it I dont like how it has wrecked my walls, I find that people trip on the bottom of it which then makes it colapse and… Read more

pull of the paint. The two year old I have in care has worked out how to open it. My family have found it very frustrating as any bump seems to knock it down.

Excellent – With stairs in our house, a safety gate was an absolute necessity. We have been really happy with this gate. While when we purchased the gate the price hurts a bit, it has been really secure and I know we can trust it 100%. I'm not sure I would trust some of the wooden or more flimsy gates like I do this one. Our daughter stands at the gate and… Read more

shakes it at hard as she can but it doesn't budge. We have another gate lent to us by a friend (not sure which brand) but it isn't anywhere near as secure. Looks good (silver), Very secure, Doesn't require permanent fixing to the wall, Easily opened and closed with one hand, Opens in both directions. Nothing really.

OK – This gate is a moderate baby safety gate. It does the job and is fairly easy to use. The gate is a bit difficult to close one handed as you need to line up the gate with the base bar and drop it down before closing the lock. I also find that it can fall down sometimes when the gate is opened as it can move about a little bit and we frequently… Read more

need to re-adjust it to get it to stay in the same spot. Easy to use. Attractive looking gate which comes in silver. A little bit expensive for what it does. Not all that easy to use.

Excellent – Excellent product. Better than all of the others we looked at. Solid lock and hinge mechanisms that wear very well. Also by far the best looking gate we have found. We have 2 of them and are extremely happy with our purchase, great value for money. A great gate taht is very difficult for children to open. Unlike feedback from other people above,… Read more

if this gate is properly adjusted it works very well. In fact a lot of adults find it hard to open, it takes a couple of seconds to work it out. It actually has a very good latch and mechanism that is easy to use but not so straight forward that a child can work it out. Once the adjusters on either side are correctly adjusted it is an excellent gate.

Good – An excellent safety gate and great value for money. It also looks great compared to some of the other chunkier safety gates available. I bought this safety gate because I needed one that my daughter could use easily as well. I found other brands difficult to open, so I knew that she had no hope. Setting up the gate is easy provided you don't read… Read more

OK – I have a 4year old niece and 1 year old nephew who have not been able to work out how to open this gate. It has given me the security that i wanted. Took a while to put together but well worth it. Great at keeping children out of specific areas. Brought to protect formal carpeted areas. The distance needed to cover meant most gates were not long… Read more

enough. This managed well for the distance. The instructions / packaging never mentioned that extensions could not be joined together. Therefore made the purchase with specific extension sizes then had to work out again how I could cover the distance required with the extension available. The retailer didn't even know that you couldn't join the extensions.
