We’ve used a range of RF car seats. This seat worked well in a 2020 Mazda 3, with room for the front passenger. 2 yo seemed comfortable and happy. Only grip is that it was difficult to get a tight install with isofix and seat belt + locking clip. We got an acceptably tight install using a rolled towel and seat belt + locking clip. This was the… Read more ·  1

case with the Mazda 3 and with a Rav 4. Not a bad seat but the isofix is basically useless and gave the loosest install in both cars.

For reference we’ve installed Bitax boulevard, Graco nautilus, Diono 3RXT, Mother’s Choice focus along with to others.

Very secure fit for our 8 month. Tightening of straps is stiff and takes a bit of effort to pull. This should hopefully ease with more use. Overall great chair! Show reply

Easy to install and secure with ISOFIX system. I find it easier to put my child in the seat (rear facing) compared to another seat I have used in the past. Show details ·  1

I really like this car seat. A lot more compact for the back of my Ute compared to our Maxi Cosi. Also a lot easier to pull bub in and out with the side strap compared to the last car seat. Show details ·  1

Great seat! My 2yo is still under the first marker so she’s got ages to go rear facing which is why I love it so much! Show details ·  1

Follow-up  · Cleaning tips - honestly I just hand wash the cover & vacuum the seat. Super easy. The fabric is great, no issues, my daughter loves it! Super easy to install! I regularly take it in and out of other cars so am reinstalling it at least once a week!

Okay, so we finally got our hands on the Infasecure Quattro Onyx after what felt like an eternity! Seriously, the wait was the most stressful part of this whole experience. It was out of stock for a good three weeks after we ordered, and then the shipping itself took another 3-4 weeks. Honestly, with our little one's due date looming, that delay… Read more ·  1

was pretty anxiety-inducing. A little communication or even a small gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience would have gone a long way, especially with such a vital piece of baby gear. BUT, now that it's actually in the car, I have to say, I'm really impressed. We have a Mazda 3, which isn't the biggest car in the world, and one of our main concerns was finding a car seat that wouldn't completely swallow the back seat. The Infasecure Quattro Onyx is surprisingly compact! It fits really well without making it feel cramped for anyone else back there. That was a huge relief. Plus, the Onyx colour actually looks really good with our car's interior – a nice, sleek black that doesn't look cheap or out of place. Installation was also a breeze. Honestly, I was expecting a wrestling match with straps and buckles, but the instructions were so clear and straightforward. It took maybe fifteen minutes from unboxing to feeling confident that it was securely in place. Everything just seemed to click together intuitively. That's a massive plus for sleep-deprived parents-to-be! So, overall, now that we have it, I'm really happy with the Infasecure Quattro Onyx. It feels sturdy, looks great in the Onyx colour, and fits perfectly in our Mazda 3 without being bulky. The ease of installation was a major win too. However, that initial stock issue and the long wait, coupled with the lack of any acknowledgement for the delay, definitely left a sour taste. If you're not in a rush, this seems like a fantastic car seat. But if you have a tight timeline, maybe double-check the stock levels before ordering to avoid the stress we went through. Hopefully, our experience was just a one-off, but it's something to be aware of.

Fantastic safe & secure high quality made seat with many features and price extremely hard to beat – The Infasecure Quattro Onyx is a fantastic safe and secure high quality made seat, and the price is very reasonable and extremely hard to beat for its comfort and many important features. Instruction manual a bit confusing, with the most important things you need to randomly spaced out throughout the whole manual, so very important to go through… Read more ·  1

the whole manual first to make it an easy installation.

Very easy to install with the isofix feature to either of our cars was so simple and did not need to get it professionally fitted which is another huge bonus. Seats have come a long way from when we had our children 25 years ago. It has 4 anchor points, and the clasp is easy to adjust. As we have 2 cars, it's been so easy to transfer the seat to the other car within minutes.

Very easy to operate and functional seat and comes in a Charcoal bamboo fabric that looks and feels of a very high-quality smooth surface very well padded, with all stitching internally so not visible on the outside. The cover which is press studded, as well as the shoulder pads, come off without having to take the seat out of the car to enable it to be cleaned very easily with a minimum of discomfort. The seat is made for children 0 to 4 years old. Our grandchild seems to be very comfortable in the seat and not fidgeting. There are up to 9 reclining positions to give total flexibility for the child’s comfort.

The twist and lift feature is that simply put so you don’t have to deal with winding of straps and you can adjust parts of the seat such as the harness and head rest with just one hand from the front of the restraint.

The baby seat has a side impact protection which protects the child from a harmful impact and combined with the air cocoon technology working almost like an airbag but really is a soft cushioning effect that gives a huge piece of mind should something unplanned occur.

Would definitely recommend this seat to purchase which currently is at half price which is a double bonus as it’s well worth the money.

Quattro Onyx with Volvo ROPS – Sounds like an All Wheel Drive (Quattro) child seat for those 0 to 4 years. Our first baby capsule was fitted by the local RACV service agent into a Volvo 240 in 1991 for our first child. Fast forward a few years to 2024, and an InfraSecure Quattro Onyx is taking a test drive in a Volvo C70 (grandma's bucket list car) for our first grandchild.… Read more ·  1

Being a convertible, Volvo have installed an electronic Roll Over Protection System at the back of the rear seats.

First port of call is the 66 page manual supplied by InfraSecure and the 252 page owners manual supplied by Volvo. What is ISOFIX?? Well the Quattro has is so better find out. Ahhh. No need to use the car's seat belts because additional belts and clips stored under the Quattro clip directly into anchor points on the rear wall between the seat base and the back rest. Volvo even place pictures on the seats to help you find them. What about the top tether strap when the Quattro is rear facing? Consulted the owners manual and there does not appear to be one in this vehicle (not good).

Before installation into the vehicle, we test fit our 8 week old baby into the Quattro and adjust the straps for a snug fit. Observations were that this did take a bit of time, however the rotary height adjuster was very quick and easy to use with baby leaning forward. The tilt level handle below the seat is colour coded the same colour as the bonnet release lever on the c70, red. A quick pull and the Quattro reclines into position with a snap.

Not in the manual. Take the roof off the car to provide access to the rear seat! It is electric and folds up into the boot.

First impressions: (i) the foam padding in the seat whilst acceptable, was not as dense as in the car seat purchased by the parents. In particular the padding between baby and the seat strap buckle was at a minimum standard, and no additional strap padding is provided for the straps going over baby's thighs. These are provided in the car seat purchased by the parents. Similarly, the supplementary vehicle seat protector supplied is not very thick and only protects the seat base. I did see a 3 in 1 vehicle seat protector listed on the InfraSecure web site for $59, and this would be worth buying. (ii) as users, we felt that the "J" shape of the seat mold provided an empty space on the side of the Quattro that was bigger than it need to be. This was a perception, and not necessarily disclosed in professional tests of the Quattro by www.childcarseats.com.au. (iii) the Quattro is a much more sophisticated model than the InfraSecure model purchased 8 years ago by one of the parents. The quality and design are much improved, for example ISOFIX compatible. (iv) With a RRP of $699 the seat is too expensive for the quality level of soft material finishes. However at the time of writing, the InfraSecure website were advertising the Quattro for $349 and were sold out. The Quattro was the second most expensive 0 to 4 yrs car seat in the range, and I would say two different brands were offering the consumer more for their money at $699.

A breeze to setup – Baby seats/capsule have come a long way since my first one over 30 years ago. Now I have a grandson, which I look after about 4 days a week. I have a new Infasecure Quattro Onyx to ensure the safety of my precious cargo. This model is suitable for 0 - 4yo, and is easily converted from rear-facing to forward facing. There are markings on the seat… Read more ·  1

to indicate when to convert, (when your toddler reaches the appropriate size). Fitting the seat was a complete breeze, with ISO mounts for newer vehicles, or utilising the seatbelt with standard floor/ceiling anchor points. On this note, the safety seat instructions noted that an extension belt maybe required (not included, and not required in most vehicles). A quick trip to Baby Bunting satisfied this need ($21.95). Local councils provide support, to check if your seat is correctly fitted. If in doubt, use this service, however, the included instructions are comprehensive, and cover all scenarios....even my 19yo people mover! I placed the seat in my middle row, for ease of use. There is a little twisting and reaching to get your toddler/baby in or out. This is common, just take your time. I have chronic back pain, but with patience, I can successfully get my bundle of trouble in and out without exacerbating my condition. As with all quality seats, this Quattro Onyx sports 4 anchor-point harness, with a central clasp, easy to fasten and pull the rear strap to tighten. The rear back of the seat, has a clip guide for the bracing strap, which is very handy, and missing from the competition. The headrest ensures generous lateral support, and is adjustable in height. The whole unit cleverly tilts to the familiar rear-facing "capsule" position. Quality breathable materials are utilised throughout, and are removable for washing, and even comes with a seat blanket to protect your car's upholstery. My 19mo grandson likes it, and is instantly settled whenever we go out. Around $700 at all good retailers. OK, It's been just over a year now since purchasing my InfaSecure Quattro Onyx, baby seat, and I've changed cars (at last). Gone is my old 2005 Kia Carnival, and hello to my new Tesla Model Y Juniper. Installation was an absolute breeze. Click on the two ISO mounts, thread the seatbelt through the child seat base, tighten and clip securely and buckle up the rear mount and presto. The seat has held up remarkably well, and has kept it's shape and looks. The material has no signs of wear apart from a few spots from food, but not holes, tears, nor "pilling" of the fabric. So happy with this child seat, and it was easily adjusted to suit my growing grandson. (now 16kg of trouble!) And BTW, the included seat cover/mat worked brilliantly keeping the car's upholstery clean. I'm sure my new Tesla will be well protected too.

for about a month now and it fits our car really well considering the size and my daughter is super happy to have a spacious seat compared to her capsule.

The quality feels really great considering the price I paid.
