Instant Pot Vortex Mini (2L)

For single households its perfect – What you can cook in bench top or standard ovens can be cooked in the Vortex mini, just in smaller quantities. A chook breast instead of a whole bird etc. It's great for frozen food portions or fresh, and I've used a packet cake mix on the bake setting, removing the cooking tray and the results were fantastic.The temperature needs to be reduced, on all settings, as food can and will burn, get that right, and you've nailed it. The bonus for me was switching the stove top and oven off at the wall and that was 6 months ago. Cleaning is easy, just add water to the drawer, then a squirt of dish cleaner and hit the bake button for about 8 mins, use a nail brush as it gets in the grooves and its done. Clean and ready to go.

Disappointing – So far, I’m totally underwhelmed by this product: 1. Warranty registration: The link given on the manual does not work for the air fryer. Customer service asked me to send an email. I’m still waiting for response. 2. There is a very unpleasant chemical smell when using the appliance and it affects the taste of food cooked in it.

What a beauty! – Compact, perfect for one and a space saver.You can cook almost everything,even boiled eggs.It is easy to clean,wth a removable nonstick barrier plate.The only downside is that it is smaller than expected!

Not quite convinced with the hype – I wanted to love this product. In a single household and with limited shelf space, I thought this would be perfect. It is just too small. Sure, it saves switching the oven on to cook my fries, but it fits nothing else in. So, unless I want to eat dinner in three courses, I still need the oven or stovetop. That said, the air fryer function is acceptable and quite quick, the machine looks swish and even my elderly mother can easily manage the user friendly interface. It is also super easy to clean. So I’d still recommend, but with a strong caution on size.
