Two liners and two leaks - disappointing – Just bought 10ft Intex Prism pool. First liner leaked from the seam after filling it about 1/4, so had to empty it and take it back for replacement. Installed the second one and …. You guessed, another leak but the pool is full. I don’t want to empty it again so we will suck it up. But how disappointing - a waste of $280 plus extra for the necessary extras. Show details

Crappy materials – Had one for a few days leaked around the drain. Had to cot the pool into the requested pieces to send them as proof. Cost 14.00. The sent me a new shell no pump hoses or anything and with in 5 months grass was growing thru the bottom. Show details

Wicked – We’re on our fourth inflatable pool, of various sizes. We put ours under our carport so the grandkids can play in the heat of the day. They love it. And because of their reasonable price, at the end of the season we throw it away. Show details

Great value – We had an older 12ft model with a larger white inflatable ring around the top . We've got 3 seasons out of it but it's now got a bit out of shape and is leaking air . Bought on sale from Kmart for about $60 , This thing has been an awesome investment . We sprung for a cover , foot bath and simple hose vacuum , it really has been very low… Read more

maintenance . We only leave it up for probably 3 months of the year then clean it and pack it away in the shed .

I'm not sure what people expect for the ridiculously low cost of these things .

Cheap Summer fun – (8 ft w filter). Very good. Despite size, you will need chlorine (eg. floating canister) and maintenance or pool will soon get slimey and unsanitary; there's no avoiding it. (I went to Bunnings for pool advice and products (or u can go to local pool store). Tip: for first use: air out a day or so before filling up with water for first use. (strong… Read more

plastic smell permeated into water i had to drain and refill. fine now). Clean out filter with pressure from hose once a week.Great for older kids or adults.

Devastating – I purchased one of these pools for my kids. Once I set this up and filled it with water it sprung 5 leaks instantly. Would highly recommend NOT buying this! Show details

Cheap and nasty. You get what you pay for, so don't expect anything more! – The inflatable ring was already punctured when I received the product! It took 2+ hours to inflate (not completely inflate), though initially I couldn't understand why it took so long and was still flaccid, for want of another word! Eventually, we discovered the holes (x 2) and contacted Clark Rubber. The pool was only used in a relatively… Read more

deflated state for 1 day! The inflatable ring is of such poor quality material that it really can't withstand any sort of movement, including being packaged it seems! When I contacted CR they agreed to refund my purchase instead of arranging another pool for me (the CR person wanted me to think that they were being very nice by allowing the refund!), the problem was that I then had nearly a full container of chlorine ($33+), a pool cover ($33) that had only been used overnight, tarps (ground covers) and the delivery fee ($33). So over $100 of products (can't refund) for a $109 crappy pool! I was surprised that the CR person acknowledged that they have many people who buy a framed pool the year after they purchased an inflatable ring pool, because the inflatable ring pools are poor quality. Had she told me this in the first place, I would not have bought it. Don't waste your time and money.

First time used rum deflates – Set our pool up yesterday and the kids 2 and 6 went for a swim. Nothing overly silly given their age and within one hour we noticed the rim deflating. We thought maybe just over use so we blew it up again but it’s now obvious that it’s got a whole in it somewhere. Of course we can’t find the leak ao now we cannot use the pool and there are none… Read more

left at Clarke Rubber. Disappointed big time and until manufacturers can toughen the rim I won’t be buying or recommending these pools to anyone.

Bad reviews is all Poor Parenting and/or high stupidity individuals – Excellent quality plastics and great pump and filter. Well, it's made of a plastic rubber composite material using a tube of air to maintain structural integrity while filled. If you have managed the obvious hazards like pets or child's toys you will get great use out of this pool. Show details

If you don't want stress, avoid these pools! – Bought a large above ground intex pool that holds about 17000 litres. The filters are sub par and don't move the water as it needs to be. If you use a flocculant to clarify the water, be prepared to drain it and clean it because the filter is not strong enough to suck the particles out. Even with testing the water every day, the water will still… Read more

go dull and adding a clarifier tablet only made it worse by adding MORE particles to the water sending it milky. I am obsessive about the water and no amount of professional pool advice has helped. Save your money up and buy a proper in ground pool. I will never buy another of these and I've owned 3 of them all with the same problems. If I didn't have a kid who was a water baby, I would slash it open with a razor blade.

My ring just blew out after a rain. No other damage any where in yard – I bought my current 18'x42" pool around 2015. I had to replace my old one, same model. My old pool lasted 14 years. Although the new one was much thinner and lighter. I did expect it to last more than 2.5 seasons. It basically just blew out no warning. I got up Fri July 20th. Unplugged the pump before going to work and left it was fine. When I… Read more

came home after it had rained the entire ring on top had slits up and down about every 18". This pool has been up since May with absolutely no sign of a problem. And at the end of the season as with the pool before. I took it down and rolled it up on a hot day storing it in a barrel. Now I have no pool and no response from Intex. I would like to tell everyone, unless they go back and make these pools better, don't buy one. Unless you want to replace it frequently.

Disappointed – First find two pin holes in pool liner before set up. Had to patch before finishing set up. Then pump worked for one day. Really disappointed mine is a Intex 15×48 above ground. Sorry I bought it. So now I have to get a new pump. Read reviews ahead of time but thought they had improve product.

Intex Above ground pool 20x48 – I bought an Intex above ground pool and I have had it over a year and I winterized it as recommended buy the manufacturer, as spring rolls around and I’m ready to open the pool up for the summer I noticed that the poles had rusted and were breaking apart. So I drain the pool the rest of the way and start taking the pool down to see how bad the… Read more

damage is and come to find out that every pole was rusted and over half of them broke apart while I was trying to take it apart. I called Intex and have got nothing but the run around and they say that they recommend taking pool down for the winter but not mandatory to do so as long as it is winterized correctly, so as I have been getting the run around trying to get someone to help me all they can say is that there is a 90 day limited warranty and that there is nothing they can do and they say that because it occasionally it gets below 32 degrees where I live that the cold weather affect the poles and could have caused the issue I’m having. So basically they are a crap product and they don’t stand behind there product al they want is us hard working people to keep buying there product that is crap. The sad part is that they even said they could help me purchase new pole for my pool but they wouldn’t help with price or even give a discount but they pride there selfs with great customer service, if you ask me and my experience there customer service sucks and they won’t admit when there product is faulty even if it is after there so called 90 day limited warranty on there products. I hope everyone sees this and sees what kind of company they are, they don’t stand behind anything and all they want us to do is spend our hard earned money on there products they don’t even stand behind. I know everyone’s experience isn’t the same but I will say I will never buy another Intex product ever. If I could post pictures I would so everyone can see what happened and what it looks like.

Raft Problems – I bought a 36" round raft for my grand kids and the valve does not stay shut when I put air in it. I did not find the receipt and they do not stand behind their products. Offered me nothing. Not a good brand to buy. It's not like I was asking for a new pool just a new raft that would hold air.

A new pool with leaks – I was very disappointed in this pool, ordered it thru amazon, my mother in law got it as a gift to us for our grandchildren, as soon as we put it up, leak #1, then after an hour of putting water in oops there comes leak #2 I was so mad, you should not put a product out there you cannot back up! I will not buy another pool from you.

We luv the pool but the ladder rusted – My husband and myself bought the pool for our young daughter. We luv it. One problem, the ladder rusted so we had to buy a new ladder. It was 200.00 dollars for the new ladder. The pool itself is great! It's our Hampton beach! We luv the pool itself! Thank you!

Be careful, only buy where you can return to store, intex is terrible if pool is defective. i guess – purchased 16x42 pool, days filling water 14000+ litres , small leak around the protruding hose connection. phoned intex, i have to drain, cut the pool apart and send them the logo, the drain plug, piece of liner, piece where it leaks, at my cost. Intex not willing to do anything.

Kids love it! – I have the 8ftby30 pool and set up was pretty easy. Wish it would have came with a pump would of gave a 5 start rating but overall kids love it! Waiting to see how it will hold up over time. Great buy for the price! Would definitely recommend just have to buy your own pump. Still not a bad deal for the little ones.

Great pool but – Great pool eg sizing ( can fit in a small flat space) for the price but it was very easily popped and so we decided to buy another one and the pump wasn't strong enough for the pool at all so didn't last long and was quite shallow we have now upgraded and regret buying this pool previously.

No – It's to small for my 6'8 brother who has a disorder like down syndrome and I find it so rude how you wouldn't make a cheap big pool for me. Oh and I would like it to be heated and it to have like colour lighting in it. Thank you for your time and hopefully I see an improvement.

Waste of money - overpriced and so much trouble – I bought one of these pools - and I spend more time servicing the stupid pool than actually using it. Faults? - where do I start!! Very limited warranty - 30 - 90 days says it all. Ladder - good grief!! - is really only suitable for a very light weight child. Cover? - ripped within 10 days. Cannot get replacement covers anywhere. Pump? - go… Read more

through cartridges one a week. ANY sign of dirt in filter - and pump won't work. Can't clean them - have to replace them. Suction of pump - can barely pick up a leaf, let alone suck it up. Pool service company's won't service them - told that is because they are too problematic, you cannot get spare parts, and the parts with it are so cheap and poorly made. Have spent the last 2 weekends trying to clean my pool - over $140 in chemicals later, and still not the slightest bit of difference. Pumps are useless - what little dirty water it does suck in (only after you have put in a new cartridge) - just comes back IN the other end. End continually pops off the pump - so dirty particles that you have spent ages cleaning, fall back in to the pool. Trying to get parts is a nightmare - shops won't stock the parts, I have heard SO many stories from shops as to why they won't touch them. I don't believe these pools are at all suitable for Australian conditions. I have spent a fortune on making my pool and area compliant (with Council) and now would not recommend ANYONE buy this pool. If I can get another summer out of this pool - though doubt it as I hate swimming in dirty water - it will be sliced up and dumped at the tip. Speak to the many people who are now trying to flog off their similar pool and if they are honest, they will tell you the same story as above. No customer service, impossible to get spare parts, what is available will only last a very short time, total waste of money.

Pool has leaks – This is the second year and second pool with a leak. Last summer I found a leak along a seam, I was able to get through the summer. I bought a new pool for this summer and it has a leak along a fold. I am so frustrated this should not happen. These pool are good when they work but this is unacceptable new products should not have flaws. This is brutal. I am so disappointed.

Best Pool Ever (with one qualification) - UPDATE – UPDATE: We had a 42 degrees celsius day a couple weeks ago and the issue mentioned about the ring deflating has happened to us which admittedly is the first it's happened in 4 years. It appears that in extreme heat the seal that connects the inflated ring to the pool itself loses contact. There's no point looking for the leak as you would normally… Read more

via sound or with soapy water as it's on such a micro and macro scale i.e. micro in the failing contact isn't a hole in the fabric but a destabilising of the glue and macro in that it can be the case for tens of centimetres. We kind of have a fix in that we have really strong electrical tape and have taped a good 2 metres of where the contact has failed the most clearly. Still have to pump air in every few days which isn't great but I think this will last us to the end of summer.

Cheap and beats the heat :) – For less than $100, I couldn't be happier has kept me cool on the hot days. At this price i'm happy to get a season out of it :) Any pool shop is happy to check your water, just take in a sample and they'll test and advise you on chemical use and amounts.

Love it! 10 years now – My hubby and I got this 12 ft pool in Queensland - 10 years ago - and before we had children. We used it every summer, moved to Western Australia and used it again every summer since. Our children love it too now. We rinse and dry it very well before packing it away for winter. Recommend this to the extreme. Excellent pool.

Simple from set up to splashdown! – We buy one of these every year and manage to up the size each year too. inflatable ring working the next season, but for the price you pay, that's fine in my books. You just have to get in as soon as they hit stores before the advertising blitz or a hot weekend comes and you spend it driving everywhere looking for one.

The filters seem to get a bit better each year, last year's was quieter than the year before, hopefully steps up again this season.

Anyone can set it up, and within no time you are relaxing with a cold one in comfort. Super easy to maintain once you get an idea of how to care for the water.

Bring on this swimming season. Bombs away!

Crap! – I got this pool as a means to exercise my leg after a knee replacement. What happened was 1. The ring needed inflating every morning 2. When the ring went flat the pool leaked and needed to be conatantly (every day at least) to be refilled. Water meters were very busy. Too much maintenance needed to keep it up so when knee got a bit better I… Read more

replaced it with a cheap framed pool (that seeps water out!)

This is a cheap pool so if you get it cheap ok use it for what you intend but think of it as a temporary solution or a disposable one.

Waste of money & time - constant worry if our house would flood – Purchased this pool from Clark Rubber as a surprise for my husband during a week of hot weather thinking it would be very easy to assemble and maintain. The salesman was more than happy to quickly accommodate my request and recommend various products such as a cover, under pool tarpaulin with a fancy name and the $89 easy chlorine free water… Read more

care kit totalling $300.

It wasn’t until I looked at some previous reviews of the pool and Clark Rubber’s service that I was horrified to discover the regulations around pool fencing. No one had told me about this!

Apparently anything with a capacity that holds over 30cm in water requires a permanent pool fence of around $2,000 cost (and council require a pool fencing permit – additional cost)

What’s more is that most areas and councils of Australia this regulation applies. It is only when you really look at the box and instructions in small writing you can see where it says “Pool Fencing Regulations Apply to this Product” Very misleading!

Councils do conduct drone photography and fine people accordingly for not having a compliant pool fence – even for these “inflatable pools”

Other reviews made me quite concerned with the product quality that it would split open and flood our house.

The cover broke within 2 weeks and kept coming off and into the pool. Completely useless.

The rubber ring requires inflation daily. The pool pump doesn’t seem to do much (put your hand to the “suction” area and you feel nothing) and it required daily running – electricity cost.

The pool was installed on a flat surface yet the whole thing seemed to lean to one side on one day, and the other on another. It looked very unsafe and scary as it bulged.

Another thing with the care kit it the sheer amount of chemicals required (although “Chlorine Free”) to maintain. The PH test kit does not tell you what to add in the event the levels are too high. It’s too much of a guessing game.

All up I spent $300 to get 3 uses out of this product. I am so disappointed that although the sales staff at Clark Rubber don’t legally have to say anything, to me it seems ethically immoral to just blatantly sell product to the customer without informing them of the legal requirements.

The whole thing was a waste of time and money – I would suggest that anyone considering buying an inflatable pool with more than 30cm depth check their local laws and home and contents insurance in the event this product fails and floods your house!

Love our 12 ft Easy Set - on our 3rd summer - same pool – Not sure why the bad reviews. EXCELLENT value for money. We bought ours used at a garage sale for $50 but new replacement with pump only in the $120 range. TIP - use the POOL CALCULATOR website and read about small temporary pools. one instead of going through all the wash down and scrubbing. Will hook up both new and old pump for better pumping.

OUR STORY - Previous owners dog popped the ring with a toe nail and the supplied patch used is still holding. Ours is set up under our shade cloth garden patio on a rock bed covered with tarps. We left it up for 2 summers and drained it the following winter after coming back from holiday to a mosquito pond with drowned geckos. We rinsed it out and piled it in the garden shed. TIP heavily bleach wash if putting into storage and dry out as much as possible before folding up - I DID NOT. I pulled it out early spring to find attack of the mildew pilled it under a tree to wash and avoided it for 2 months - more mildew. Domestos to the rescue, scrubbed it down left it to bleaching an hour to overnight a section at a time. Came up all good but lost the blue pattern on the floor. Turns out a rock garden rock had put a small hole in the bottom, used supplied cut, peel and stick patch, same as dog toe nail and both holding fine. A better job on covering the rock bed this time. Ring stays inflated without need for re-inflation.

* Pool takes as much daily care as a big pool if not more while being used.

* Check chlorine daily - pH, alkalinity, stabilizer weekly - heavily chlorinate every 1-2 weeks.

* Use pool net for any debris on surface and bottom - eats the chlorine.

* Have pump plugged into timer. I run for 2- 2 hour periods and try to sweep the bottom before one of the cycles with a dedicated household broom.

* Pull out and wash filter daily if possible. I'm still on the same filter but getting a new one. I also use filter socks.

* Tip and pour out cloudy pump water in filter housing till clear before replacing washed filter.

* If cloudy drain replace 1/3 to 1/2 water, pH balance and shock. Adjust stabilizer and alkalinity as needed.

* If green fully drain, rinse and replace. Might need to scrub down with bleach.

Happy Dipping.

Not good enough to be out in the sun!!! – We had this pool for about 12 months, we got it late summer and it was great while it lasted!! Not enough suction and definitely not the right size for the pool..We ended up using a good pump in it which made a big difference!!… Read more

All those things aside we had a pool that cooled us down so we were happy.....Well we decided to leave our pool set up as we had a good pump so it was able to be maintained during the year, but the inflatable ring decided it wasn't happy in the weather so it cracked and went flat (obviously) resulting in the pool not being able to be kept clean or stay up so i had an icky green pool that was half up in my back yard on my wedding day!!! Why make a pool that can't handle weather any longer than a few months??? And don't bother telling me intex that i could have got a cover because if your product needed a cover then it should have been supplied with one!! Pool would have woked great being set up inside the house haha intex i have told everyone we know not to ever buy one of your badly made pools....Not good enough when they cost so much!!!
