IXL Appliances Tastic Ovation 3 in 1

Buyer beware!! This item looks stylish yet within 6 months the fan stopped effectively clearing condensation. The the entire unit started shorting the electricity when turned on. I am in the process of trying to exchange it as it's been less than a year since we installed it. Very Disappointing - I have seen several other review claiming similar issues.

I was exited to have found a sleek 3 in 1 unit but it is not well made and now I have to pay to have an electrician remove it - find another items and potentially patch the ceiling.

DO NOT buy this brand, won't last at all ! – I bought the previous model Tastic Neo 3111 4 years ago for $600 NZD when renovating my bathroom. Was fitted by a professional electrician. 6 months ago the fan stopped working, then a few weeks ago it blew up and the whole thing stopped working. When inspecting, there were burn marks to the light behind. When I called the manufacturer's support, was told that their parts were only under Warranty for 2 years and that they will do a special deal on the fan's part at $85 or so and this and that part is $x. You'll have to fix it yourself basically or the electrician! This is crazy as when we originally purchased it, they were saying 5 year warranty etc. By the time we buy all these parts and pay for the electrician, it will be cheaper to buy a brand-new one. Anyways, this brand of product does not last, Manufacturer's Support is dodgy, other reviews said it has exploded like mine too. DO NOT BUY.

Heater element exploded – We installed these in our two bathrooms when they were renovated last year. The one in our ensuite exploded, the damaged heater element fell to the floor and the glass cover shattered and covered everything with glass. The person we dealt with at IXL was most unhelpful. We would have liked a refund but they’d only repair. We had both removed and replaced with a completely different 3in 1 and took the IXLs to the dump!
