JayBird Freedom Bluetooth Headphones JF3

Jaybird Customer Service = not good – After owning Bluebuds for less than a year, they quit holding a charge and were therefore unable to pair to a device. Jaybird customer service will mislead the customer into thinking there will be a replacement; however, the Jaybird company utilizes a stall tactic of asking for customer order purchase number (even when the customer purchases the… Read more
Jaybuds from their website). The Jaybird customer service representative will always have an excuse as to why this can't happen and then hide behind e-mails that do nothing for the customer. There are great headphones out there from other companies that provide way better customer service for a better price. I would not recommend wasting your time on a Jaybird product that is average from an unhelpful and dishonest Jaybird company.
Okay for casual use – These headphones are okay. Purchased them and used every day for 49 days before they were returned. I used them for work and talked a fair bit on the phone. The microphone isn't positioned very well and after 49 days they were randomly turning off. The fit is pretty good and they won't fall out however the sound quality could be better. life is good and connectivity between 2 phones is surperb. Returned the faulty product and upgraded to AirPods. If you want true wireless and better sound I would suggest the AirPods to be honest.
Jaybird Freedom new 2016 – I just had my new jaybird freedom which I requested my friend to buy since he was buying one for himself. 2 days later, one side of the earbud has a screechy sound (faulty) and it then shut down. I have contacted the customer service and they said if I don't provide a receipt, they can't help. Unfortunately, my friend lost the receipt and when… Read more
contacted the shop they mentioned they need the exact date to find the receipt (not friendly).
Well, there was no way to get the receipt and I mentioned to customer service but again no assistance from them. It is very disappointing to have such a bad customer service and if you don't show your receipt even though the product is just couple of months old, they don't care.
My experience with their after sales service is so bad that I don't recommend to buy from them.
Excellent, lightweight, great fit – Can't fault much on this unit, except that sometimes it is a bit hard to pair with my phone, although I suspect it could be a phone / user issue rather than the headphones. They are light, compact, and so comfortable to wear. I have small ears and can never wear in-ear earphones, but these jaybird ones are very snug and never fall out. Very… Read more
comfortable to wear, great battery life, and very handy with the box that it comes in.
Expensive, but great investment for runners like me who want wireless earphones on the run.
Never tried out the mic but accidentally used it once and the other party didn't seem to be able to hear me clearly.
OK.... BUT! – I've tried lots of earphones with my iPhone and wanted a pair for exercising, Running and walking. Tried all sorts of non-bluetooth ones and all would fall out. After much research I went for Jaybirds. Got a good price on the net. After a walk to test them out and now 2 runs this is my review. You get three sets of buds and three sets of… Read more
secure fit cushions. After playing around with the sizes I got a comfy fit and set off for a walk. Inside the house I thought "WOW these are awesome". Good fit, Great sound for bluetooth. Pairing was smooth also.
So I set off for a walk. Once outside I started losing bluetooth signal.Range is sposed to be 10m. My iPhone was in a Belkin armband on my left arm and I had to move it to my right arm. OK that has improved things. Next problem, everytime I put my right hand up to the right ear to adjust settings the bluetooth became jittery again. Sound became very intermittent.
Running: Same deal, fit is good. As long as phone is very close to the right earpiece all is ok. After 15 mins of running and sweat begins to flow, the buds start moving and I have to push them back in. Not real happy with that. These are designed for exercise.
These earphones work great if you dont sweat or you dont touch the right earpiece (all controls are on this one). I can minimize the touching but I dont have any control over sweat.
Still looking for the perfect exercise earphones. Fit and feel. Sound is good for bluetooth. bluetooth is very temperamental. earphones become loose with sweat.
A good headset that ticks most of the boxes – I used this device for gym work and running. It offers pretty good sound, easy connectivity and stays in pace when running (and I sweat a lot!). The middle MFC button is a little stiff, butuseable. Volume up/down and tracj advance is reasonably easy to use. The bluetooth range is a little tight with dropouts experienced at 5 metres, but pretty… Read more
good if you stay closer than that. Good battery life (about 4 hours of music), sounds good, doesn't fall out when running Have to hold volume up in for 1.5 seconds to skip track. Had to return first unit after 6 weeks as the unit ceased to power up - likely extreme sweating killed it, waiting on replacement.
