Jaycar OBDII Speedometer and Heads Up Display LA9027

Works better than expected...effective hud – Wanted a heads ip display unit. Would have liked the type with inbuilt screen but sloping downwards dash didnt suit so i tried this unit which projects onto windscreen..its not GPS type and plugs into OBD2 port under the dash. All Aust. Cars after 2006 should be obd2 protocol. Plugged in and started car, the display fires up and displays the engine rpm and litres per hour. As soon as you move it shows speed and litres per hundred as well as rpm ..you need to add the film to the windscreen as the image shows double without..takes a bit of playing around to get the display right and it auto adjusts brightness...there is a few adjustments and you can set temp alarms etc and the manual is a bit hard to follow...i was worried about plugging into obd2 port but its read only data and there have been no issues. Its quite a good unit..they are all over ebay but i purchased from Jaycar. Jaycar show this has been discontinued but if you search in ebay under X6 HUD unit you will find the same unit..there are plenty of sellers.
