Outback Finch Problem – We have a 2007 model Finch Outback. We like the concept and the inside space but have a problem with it collapsing either when being wound up, or even once it is fully opened. We have had to repair it 5 times now partner is a retired engineer luckily. Problem is with the cable and it comes off the pulley system. We now have to put lengths of timber at each corner to reassure us that it won't collapse while we are in bed. I think it is a design fault but we have not found a helpful Jayco dealer to advise us.
Great little camper easy on tow cheap – Bought little finch for the two of us $3700 paid 1983 model everything works apparently it's been around Australia a couple of times looks a bit tired but it's great 17 feet in length when unfolded 10 when closed up highly recommend an old to start with. ..... happy....
1980 jayco finch brilliant – I bought the camper 6 months ago. It was in good condition with a new 3 way fridge. So easy to set up and plenty of room for 2 kids. Build quality seems rock solid. Ive taken the van out 10 times and im hooked. I will be buying a jayco Dove next time only a few years old. Brilliant for those weekends get aways or weeks away! Easy yo tow.
Finally sold it after 20 plus outings. Great camper will be buying another in 12 months!

Absolutely love this van setup down to 20 mins with annex. No annex 10 mins. Taken out over 25 times. These vans are well built and easy to tow. Will be buying a post 2008 van in a few years.
