Does not work for swimmers!!! Bad customer service! – Does not work if you swim more than 30 minutes. When complaining to JBL customer service, they would just say that it's out of warranty and simply close the chat window

Not fit for what it is advertised for – Good: Sound quality. Secure fit (for running and other non water related activities) Wireless/Bluetooth range Waterproof Bad: Fiddly and erratic touch controls -> using in a wet environment, like running in the rain is very frustrating. Only acceptable usage scenario in wet environments is fitting the headphones in a dry place, turning the music/podcast on and adjusting volume with dryfingers while stationary. Anything beyond that will very likely lead to fustration, erratic behavieor, unintended play/pause /skip. When swimming - even if you have set it up to play your MP3 s and turned on touch control lock -> if headphones come off (very likely to happen when pushing away from end of pool or diving head under water) touch lock turnes off and it's a few minutes trying to tap the headset dry and dry your fingers to set it up again. Will brake up your training flow. Can't use bluetooth when running in rain or under shower - touch controls will go crazy.

Most if not all negative would be resolved with physical buttons /controls.

Unbelievable that JBL doesent have better designers on their payroll

Purchased in for $75.

Not worth it – So finally i bought it after reading reviews abt bad touch sensor nd auto turn off prob but as other user suggested solutions for that nd mentioned good quality sound i was convinced. My issue first it goes into pairing mode every single time i turn it on so i have to click on forget device on my iphone and re pair it all over Lastly sound quality is really really poor as if ive bought $2 stuff from ebay and im surprised no one mentioned that But yeah id luv to go back to plantronics brand So what do u expect from headphone good sound quality or fancy touch sensor If sound the dont buy it. I didnt bought new but used one from fb seller showed me invoice as he bought it a week ago so gud condition.but could have added more money and should have bought harmen karden bluetooth which i did anyway on very next day now have two headphones and only use one of it

Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi for $40.

Worst purchase in my life – My ability to listen to my podcasts has been crippled by two fatal flaws in the headphone. First of all, it doesn't pick up from where in the track it left off when you restart it. This makes it a nightmare for listening to a two hour podcast. Second, it doesn't have a fast forward option, which makes it more of a nightmare for listening to lengthy tracks. It's unbelievable that in 2019, an mp3 player exists that starts everything from the beginning every time you turn it off and on (specially a headphone that doesn't have a fast forward option). This even makes listening to music impossible. Imagine having 300 tracks on the headphone and turning it off while on track 197. It means that the next time you turn this on, you should skip 196 tracks before getting to where you left off. I wasted $140 for this.

Purchased in at eBay for $140.

These are NOT suitable for swimming laps – JBL Endurance DIVE Bluetooth® MP3 Swim Headphones - Look, to be fair, I have to admit that I do not own these headphones, but I have owned similar headphones over the years (some are rated on this site). These are being promoted (and named!) as being usable for swimming with. I believe that they are not, and are priced at a premium, so purchasers can possibly be misled.

Firstly, as their advertising says, they are rated "IPX7" - which is suitable for running or exercise equipment that will occasionally get wet, such as when taking a quick shower, or in rain, for instance. "IPX7" is a rating to protect the equipment from immersion up to one metre deep and up to 30 minutes in water. Any equipment you want to use with swimming should be rated higher, ie "IPX8".

Secondly, on a practical note, these operate like normal earbuds, with a small speaker. If you go swimming with these, you will only hear anything while there is air in your earcanals. So they depend on a close fit, to stop water from getting underneath the speakers, inside your ears. Now, with this design, it may be practical for these to work this way, but you need to ensure that they fit tightly inside your ear, and do not leak. From my own experience with a variety of swimming mp3 players, this is difficult to get right in practice. Looking at this design, it may be hard to get them to fit tightly inside your ears (my own experience says that flexible types on a loose cable work better; and the bone conduction types work best!).

Now, these headphones will be suitable if you want to just use them for exercising, other than swimming laps. But if you are influenced by the advertising and name they are being promoted under, be aware that you might be disappointed. Keep your receipt, and take note of the warranty period!
