JBL endurace clips break in half – The reason I came here was to warn that they do break, the clips have wire inside but it only goes half way and then it's just rubber so after a year or so the clip breaks at that point which sucks bad. To be honest I have hardly used them (I have others) so this shouldn't have happened, I'm about to attempt to repair them with super glue and heat… Read more
shrink wrap, but I think I'll be disappointed in about week or 2. just be aware, also, I found these a bit tricky to put on my ears, so probably best for longer listening sessions in a sporting situation but a little inconvenient for general use. Because they broke, I wouldn't buy again. Just my opinion.
Connectivity issues on 2 different pairs – They are comfy and sound pretty good... but massive issues on connectivity with iphone. Drop outs, L & R not pairing... first pair left bud dropped sounds considerably... I have had 2 pairs and returned them both faulty. Show details
They really stay in place when running – A bit difficult to fit in securely if you are wearing a hat and sunnies. The instructions weren't great for pairing with my Garmin watch, but got there eventually and the sound quality was good, but not great. Having said that, will always run with them because they were comfortable and never felt like they were going to fall out Show details
Decent sound, less than decent fit – I have used these for some time now, around 18 months, and they were my first set of wireless earbuds. I had some reservations about the styling, but the price was right. The unit charged without a worry, and paired to my phone easily, so getting up and running wasn't a hassle. The requisite baggie of tips was included of course, so after some… Read more
fidding it was easy to achieve a comfy fit, even if the over-ish nature of the Endurance Peak was a bit awkward for a start.
As the important bits go: sound is pretty good. I've never been found wanting for more bass or clearer highs with these. Battery life is also good, and the charging case gives a couple of charges before needing a top up. Sometimes the buds take a wiggle in the case to ensure they're charging, but it's pretty rare.
When it comes to stability of connection, I've seen better. The sound can stutter or break up when anything gets between your phone and the RH (master) earbud, even if it's your torso or arm. I haven't had the same problem with other JBL models, so hopefully it's just a foible for these ones. I found staying put while in motion (running or brisk walking) to also be poor. This might be due to my slightly larger than average ears, but the tension between the ear hook and the earbud pulls it out of my ears all the time, which is frustrating.
Overall, they sound good, they stay in place if you're sitting still and the connection doesn't play up if your phone is on the desk in front of you. As an active-focused product, though... no. There are better ones out there.
Works well (till they stop charging) – I was a big fan of these earphones, they are noise cancelling, they stay in place while I do gymnastics. Just over two years after I purchased, the left earbud stopped charging. I spoke to support and they said that it seems to be an internal issue, and that "unfortunately we don't offer repairs in Australia", and of course the warranty is only one year. They basically had no solutions for me and now I can't use them. Show details
Good product but horrible to charge – Nice and light, comfortable and decent sound. Fit well. But have had so many problems with charging. Have returned two sets already and now on to 3rd set. Just won't charge consistently. Hopeless. Avoid. Show details
Rubbish product – Rubbish product. Had ongoing issues getting the right earbud to charge. 14 months after purchase (2 months after warranty expired) one of the charging pins in the case broke. A replacement charging case isn't available so I now have useless $200 earbuds. APAC (JBL parent company), and Harvey Norman, Australia/New Zealand department store chain, aren't interested. Get something else – Pros: Good sound and OK battery life for the period of time when they do work (a few months). Cons: I used these for music only as they do not work with calls (no one can hear me speak). I have owned two seats of these because the first set got damaged. The following problems occurred with both sets. There is a certain sequence in putting them on… Read more
when removing from the charger box. If you do it wrong they don't turn on (or one won't). If you haven't just removed them from the box, chances are you can't get them to trun on, or it takes several tries. Threfore you need to take the box everywhere you go to do the little ritual of nestling them back in the box and watching for the lights before you try and put them on again. Which brings me to the box. All the little lights have to be on to show it's charging. After a while, no matter how you nestle or jiggle them onto their contacts, the lights do not come on and you cannot charge them. They are now useless.
Good for running but little else – Got these for listening to music on the train, when walking and at the gym. If all you want is music then these are great - with some work. To get any bass you need to make sure your phone has an EQ (my Galaxy A50 does). Once you have the bass up these have very good sound. These also go well into the ear, so I did find some tricks to getting… Read more
a good fit and not blocking the speakers.
The build, power, and recharge are all very good. The touch control takes a little getting use to but now I love not having buttons.
The big disappointment is when making phone calls. I was aware that it only work in the right ear and I am used to it BUT I have no idea why the volume is so low that I cannot clearly hear people. The biggest problem is the mic with all my callers saying there is so much background noise they cannot hear me. These are earbuds so you would not expect to have to move to a quiet area to take a call. In contrast my Plantronics work fine in the same environment no problem.
Over all there is just too much wrong with these to recommend them.
