Chromecast is very unreliable – Chromecast doesn't work half the time. Very frustrating and as a result, no better than any old Bluetooth speaker except you've paid twice the price for the not-so-smart "smarts".

Works intermittently – Bought 2 each for $69 at JB hifi to use at home however it loses connection with google home and fails to reconnect. You have to delete it and reinstall it and reset the device by hold the mic button on the back. The sound is decent for the price. Just a hassle to reconnect. Show details

I bought one, then bought another two – My friend had Google Nest speakers and JBL Link Music speakers in various rooms of his home. While visiting him last year I was able to listen to both brands. We both agreed that for the price ($169 reducged to $69) the JBL was really good and made it hard to justify paying extra for the Nest speakers. I went home and bought a JBL Link Music at… Read more

Big W for $69 and was pleased with it. A month or two later I saw them in JB Hifi at $49 so I bought the last one in my local store. A month or so later I spotted one in a different JB Hifi store also at $49 so I bought it as well. These JBL speakers are only mono, they are quite small, they need 240V lead, they are not Hi-Fidelity Music quality but they are extremely good value and sound great in a normal home environment. Everything is controlled by voice command (Hey Google, play....X, Y, Z) and streamed over your home WiFi (or Bluetooth). You need a Music Subscription if you want on demand songs Ad free, with out it you can still request songs but may get pot luck on wether they play or not. Access to radio stations is free via various radio streaming apps (or subscription if you choose). Instead of reaching over and turning on the radio in the morning, I just tell Google to play my favourite station and away we go...any station you like (in any City).

Great Buy reduced from $169 to $49 – I bought from BIG W - I also have an Apple Home Pod paid $149 - my opinion the JBL Sound is clearer than the Pod. People who paid $49 got a Bargain- there would be many people out there who paid the Original Price of $169 - ignore the bad Reviews it is a great little Speaker now Discontinued. For the people who complain about the Sound buy a superior Speaker - you will pay a lot more than $49  Show details

Not bad Not Good – I bought this for $49 at JB HI FI and based on the reviews I thought it would be a good deal The JBL does not have a battery so it has to be plugged into a power socket (you can't carry it) I thought it would be like my other JBL Bluetooth speakers but its just a Google Home Assistant with JBL speakers The best JBL I have ever owned was the JBL… Read more

Flip Also despite being a JBL product, the sound quality is inferior compared to past products and the sound sounds like its coming out of a pipe or echoing

The bass is terrible and unbalanced and at times can overpower other sounds ' If it did not have Google Home Assistant I probably would have thrown it in the bin

My Recommendation: You could do better for $49, this is not one of those products

Not bad but not impressed either – Disappointed with the suspected JBL advertisement - (JBL website DID NOT clarify customers need pay monthly extra for YouTube music premium to get "favorite music".). Average sound quality and NO JBL Connect. The fabric cover material would get wet and wear out easily. Show details

DO NOT BUY – This is an absolute piece of Dog turd!! It is so unfinished and doesn't work like it says. It took me 3 goes to connect it to Google home. It constantly drops out and can't be found. I have 3 other Google Mini Nests in my home with only minimal dropouts. When Google is connected you can't do anything else. Bluetooth was choppy and unlistenable… Read more

to. It states you can make and receive calls on it......doesn't work. Only recognized as a Music receiver on my android Pie phone and well making calls via Google is crap.....I tried anyway and yep, doesn't work! The manuals are written for a 2 year old, and there support on the website has 2 FAQ's in troubleshooting. New device I know....but seriously? 2?? I won't be buying JBL again and I will be finding every review site and warning people of the stress, frustration and anger you will receive if you purchase this device!!! Oh and I lodged a colourful support request 12 hours ago with only a "Request Received" reply. Great customer service too.
