Heavy & Mixed Feelings About JBL Quantum 810 Headphones – I recently purchased the JBL Quantum 810 headphones from JB Hi-Fi with high expectations, especially for gaming sessions on CSGO. While the audio quality and immersive sound experience are top-notch, I can't overlook the weight of these headphones. The build quality is solid, but the weight becomes a noticeable drawback during extended gaming sessions. The heaviness can lead to discomfort, making it less than ideal for prolonged use. It's disappointing because the sound quality is exceptional, offering crisp details and immersive surround sound that greatly enhances the gaming experience.

If you're primarily looking for gaming headphones and don't mind the weight, the JBL Quantum 810 delivers outstanding audio performance. However, if comfort during long gaming sessions is a priority, you might want to consider lighter alternatives in the market.

You can really feel that weight when turning your head left and right, I have used another brand of wired headphones for years (HyperX Cloud) and I think I prefer them over these even without the noise cancelling feature they block out more sound than these.

As an owner of a small JBL portable boom speaker, I anticipated more from such expensive headphones, I don't love the fancy lights either, I Feel like I am the product on the show as it draws people's attention to you.

These are ok, but I think for the price you could do better,

Fantastic, versatile headset with amazing battery life! – The sound quality of the JBL Quantum 810 is fantastic, and with the quantum engine on the PC, you can tune these To suit your tastes even more. There have been very few occasions where these have sounded overwhelmed by what I'm listening to, and that was likely due to the source more so than the actual headset. The volume is great, and I find myself listening to these with the volume nowhere near max. The microphone is clear and precise, and the lift to mute function works great. These have a talk through function, and I find this great while gaming but also having to keep an ear out for crying babies. The talk through can get a little annoying on the higher settings though, so be mindful of that. I also don't know if the talk through function can be used without the Quantum Engine app on the PC. This headset also has ANC function, however I find ANC gives me a headache, so I haven't comprehensively tested how good this is. From my limited use though, it does block out a fair amount of outside noise. These are a relatively hefty headset, so keep that in mind if this may affect your neck. In saying this though, they sit very well on the head, and the adjustable, padded headband feels light and comfortable. I've had many long gaming sessions, and outside of a bit of a sweaty ear (the joys of a sub-tropical climate), I can say they wear well for longer periods. I've tried to wear them while laying in bed, though apart from flat on your back, these are way too bulky to be comfortable in that setting. I also used these for a while on my daily commute. The sound was great, and the ANC did well to drown out some of the noise on a busy train, however again, these are quite bulky, so I was well aware I was wearing headphones. Another slight annoyance, is that the microphone doesn't really tuck away too well, so it was very obvious to anyone that cared to look, that I was wearing a 'gaming' headset. These come with RGB lighting which again, is highly customisable in the Quantum engine app on PC. I found this feature, while cool, to be quite pointless for me, and it also shortens the battery life. Luckily though, one of the customisations, is the ability to turn these lights off completely. Speaking of battery life, this is nothing short of amazing! I have gone weeks without charging this headset, and this has included decent gaming sessions of a night, and work calls and meetings throughout the day. When you do eventually get the sound in your ear that the battery is low, it's as simple as plug the USB-C cable in, and continue on. My final word on this headset, and by far my favourite feature, is the dual-connectivity! These came with a USB-A dongle that plugs directly into my PC (or PlayStation), and connects via 2.4ghz signal. Whilst this is connected however, I can also pair this headset to my phone (or other source) via Bluetooth. I can then simultaneously listen to music or take a call, while also having game sound/chat in the background. This feature is also fantastic for multi-purpose usage, I leave the dongle in my gaming PC, then connect to my work laptop via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connection is very solid also, I can walk around my entire 4 bedroom house, and maintain a stable conversation from my laptop in the office. The 2.4ghz connection via the quantum engine on PC also has a dual channel in/output, meaning 'game' and 'chat' sound are seperate. There is a volume wheel, and a chat mix wheel on the left ear cup. When those pesky microphone eating, screeching online gamers are too much to bare, simply roll the wheel down to drown them out.

In conclusion, I absolutely love and would (and do) highly recommend this headset!

Pros: Great sound Awesome connectivity Fantastic battery life Good microphone

Cons: Hefty/heavy A little bit sweaty Volume wheel doesn't control bluetooth
